I ate here with my two teens a few weeks back. We ordered a handful of things off the menu. I'm not really here to complain about the food which was ... fine... but the whole thing was just a chaotic mess. It was FREEZING in the restaurant. Hot food came on freezing cold plates which made it immediately turn cold. Prices were incredibly high for the food quality and quantity. But the one anecdote which really sums up our whole experience: I asked for a cup of hot tea (it was COLD in there). They came back around 4 or 5 times to ask me what kind of tea, if I want milk, should the milk be hot or cold, like a "cup" of tea or "something else"? It took about 20 minutes and the involvement of three people for them to bring me half a mug of hot water, a little cup of (hot) milk, and a celestial seasonings English Breakfast tea bag and then had the temerity to charge 9 DOLLARS for it. It was so utterly ridiculous. I'm usually willing to give people a second chance if there was anything good about the experience but this one is just a no from me. read more

The flavors were bold yet balanced, and the Indian influences stood out for their authenticity and depth rather than being diluted for fusion's sake. Compliments to the chef for creating such thoughtful, seamless combinations. The cocktails were equally impressive--we tried the sangria and the spiced goose, both of which paired wonderfully with the food and reinforced the Mediterranean spirit of the menu. The experience truly felt transportive--taking us from the streets of Seville to Greece and India in one sitting. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it equally well-suited for a family dinner, a special night out, or a relaxed evening with friends. My partner and I recently stopped by Zayith in Sudbury on a Wednesday night. We'd heard good things from friends about their Mediterranean/Spanish/Turkish tapas. The "Batata Bravas" and Hummus Salad Plate with Pita were excellent -- especially thanks to the flavorful sauces they stood out. Both were very flavorful. However, the Cod Croquettes and Grilled Octopus fell flat: the croquettes were a bit dry, and the octopus was chewy instead of tender. Zayith's ambiance is clean and functional, but it didn't feel warm or cozy. More like an upscale cafe, than a dinner restaurant. And the modern-electric-pop music was unexpected. Not unpleasant, in fact we kind of liked it actually. Just surprising. The service was good. They have a full bar, but on this Wednesday night there was no full-time/professional bartender, nor bar seating. The cocktails were okay, but nothing to get excited about. Food was so tasty and colorful presentation was beautiful on all the dishes. Atmosphere was really nice until we were seated in a fairly good size room with two other tables each with four people. Could not hear my dinner partner when we tried to talk because of the loud chatter. We thought to ask for another table by we thought that maybe they would quiet down a bit and then we were already being served to eat. So the service was great and food also but beware where you are seated. I would go back but will ask to be reseated and hopefully they can get some noise control in their rooms. read more

Wow! The flavors. The presentation. Creative and Delicious. The restaurant is beautiful. We went late for Sudbury on Saturday night, 8:15. It's great that they are open later than most in the area. There were 3 of us and we did tapas: squash fritters, chicken wings, steak bites(came with fries), falafel and a hummus board. Plenty of food. Prices were reasonable for the experience except we did splurge on two cocktails-$18 each but they were AMAZING- pistachio martini! Looking forward to trying brunch. read more

Great to see a new restaurant in Sudbury especially a Tapas restaurant. Zayith has a vibrant atmosphere and was easy to get a reservation. Still fairly new so I would recommend booking on a Friday or Saturday. The drinks menu was good and worth a try. Mostly ate Tapas although the Mussels in Garlic and Chablis sauce were very good. The Tapas menu had some interesting dishes so we picked 4 different dishes to share. Although the combinations were intriguing they didnt quite live up to expectations. Considering the food is Spanish or Mediterranean I was disappointed by the lack of spices. The lack of spice and in some cases lack of spiciness left an overall "good but not great" feeling. Disappointed by our waiter, he started off very well but then went completely AWOL after the initial orders were submitted so no water top ups and would have been great to try the deserts but hard to do so when your waiter goes all Houdini on you. I understand it takes a while for a restaurant to get into its groove so I will give it a couple of months before I return. Overall, could be a great restaurant but need to tune a few areas if you want to maintain the new restaurant momentum. read more

Best meal I've had in ages!! The service was great - super attentive manager, food came out as it was ready and hot but the food itself... so many flavors!!! Best thing at Zayith?? I couldn't say!! I ate all the things!!! Garlic shrimp served with a huge slice of sour dough for dipping in the tomatoey sauce, hummus platter with fresh pita, chicken wings OMG the chicken wings!!!! Sautéd potatoes... squash fritters. Ok, I think the fritters were my favorite. The sauce is amazing. It is a little pricey, but I had been warned. GO! Run! Eat there. So good!!! read more

Good, mostly Middle Eastern food, nice atmosphere and pretty good service, but value is the issue. It is crazy, whacko expensive even for this area and taking into account inflation and the always high cost of running a restaurant. More like New York or Palm Beach prices. We are talking, as of this writing, $10 for a tiny cup of Turkish coffee, $18 for Babaganush and $7 for tea. Guess they are trying to keep out the riff raff (like me) and attract only venture capitalists and neurosurgeons. They will be successful, however, if they lower their prices. read more

A delight to visit and enjoy amazing food and drink! We had 3 tapa dishes. My friend had two different cocktails. Each one was a delight. New flavors, mixed textures, and beautiful use of seasonings each bite was fabulous. Kudos to the chef. The ambience was wonderful. We met the mgr/owner at the end of the meal. We had a great experience, with really good service and very fresh food. The interesting thing about their cuisine is that it includes traditional Spanish offerings and interesting food items from around the Mediterranean. We shared a beet salad, which was quite tasty, and the paella, which includes bomba rice (better than Arborio) and some very good saffron. A true hidden gem that deserves many more customers than it's currently getting. Fascinating selection of tapas (Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, with some Indian-oriented selections as well, plus half a dozen or so "mains" (the paella was excellent!). Dozens of options for vegetarians. Beautifully prepared and presented by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Each dish is literally a work of art that will make you want to reach for your camera before you dig in. Excellent selection of (mostly Mediterranean) wines available by the glass. Pricey, but well worth it and not out of line with other high-end restaurants in the area. The owners are clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows! read more

My girlfriends and I went for brunch and we plan on coming back for more meals esp. dinner. The Zayith Hash was phenomenal and is in the photo- with the Shashuka and Beet salad. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu honestly and we enjoyed trying out new drinks. The black sesame latte was very yummy! I did mention that I thought $9.00 for a cup of bigello tea was pricey. I was not rude but just stating a fact. She said they were not a breakfast place about the price of the tea. Incredible experience from start to finish. The lamb chops were seared to perfection, the salmon with curry had just the right level of spice, and the rice had so much flavor it practically danced with every bite. Excited to see this new place and love the concept of Middle Eastern / Spanish foods! And especially appreciate that they indicate GF on the menu. Was a little surprised to learn that Zayith Tapas and Bar doesn't actually have a bar, rather a drink menu. (I had pictured myself eating tapas at the bar.) The drinks were small with a lot of ice. But the menu was interesting and featured a few drinks I hadn't seen before eg. Old Cuban. No cava on the drink menu was also surprising. We had a few delicious small plates. The squash blossoms were outstanding!! Loved the flavors! Enjoyed the olive medley. We thought the Potatoes Bravas sauce could use some spice and heat, maybe as an option since not everyone is up for that. We were seated in a room at the back of the restaurant. It was a little spare in decor and echoey until it filled up with diners. The music was a little too loud and the rotation included a bizarre pipe organ album - think circus music - that made it seem like no one that worked there was listening to what was playing. The other albums in rotation were fine. Zayith is new so give them a minute to find their groove. Look forward to visiting again. read more

So excited for this new Tapas restaurant in Sudbury! Three of us went and we had 1. Spiced Squash Fritters - delicious, pakora type fritters 3 to an order - Pomegranate seeds were a great touch 2. Lentil Nachos - recommended by the waiter as they should be! Crispy and enough for all 3 of us to have a taste, delightful, not like anything any of us had had before, will definitely order again! 3. Potatoes Bravas - perfect Potatoes Bravas - if you like Tapas, you've had them when they weren't perfect, so you know what I mean, beautifully crispy- enough for the 3 of us 4. Sumac Lamb Kofte Sliders with Fries - only two of these to an order, but delicious! 5. Beef Seekh Kabab - that's Seekh not Shish Kabab - that means the meat is ground - not the star, but still very good! 6. The experience here was really disappointing. While the food was delicious, the servings were very small and very expensive given the portions. Our group had sangria and it was barely drinkable. We went on a weekday night and the place was packed so service was pretty slow and it was very noisy. Our group of five couldn't even hear each other. What was good: Squash fritters, Baba Ganoush platter, and spinach falafel (although way overpriced for one small falafel). Fabulous - we ordered 8 plates for 4 people plus one desert to share; everything we ordered, even though we had no idea what the dishes were really going to be like, was creative, tasty, and delicious. The decor and lighting is soothing, tasteful and quiet - in short, a perfect gem in the western burbs. Prices per plate however seemed a bit high; the total bill was more like a high end restaurant. This beautiful place is definitely the hot restaurant in Sudbury. The service was impeccable as they brought on an amazing new waitress but the food was incredible! My BF and I came for an early dinner on 9/19 and we had the garlic shrimp, Barcelona paella, baklava and the crème brûlée. Everything is so super fresh and so aromatic. Service was friendly and the food generally good. Seating is a bit cramped and loud. Plates come out exceedingly slowly, and waitstaff will bring incorrect plates. It's worth a second visit to see if it was an off night, but, overall, not the greatest tapas experience to be had. Parking is very difficult. Was looking forward to trying out the newest restaurant in Sudbury. Had heard very good things about it. Unfortunately my friend and I had a disappointing experience. The silverware and glassware looked dirty, but it was water spots. Even though the interior has been completely renovated, the paint looked worn and the place didn't feel clean. Prices were rather high for the quality and quantity of the food. We had to ask for clean plates and serving utensils for our salad and knives for the flatbread. Staff was very polite but not particularly attentive. They need to work on customer service! read more

We had such an amazing meal at Zayith last weekend! The owner greeted us herself and gave us the backstory to the restaurant and the inspiration for their food. We ordered 6 different tapas and the hummus/ pita platter and everything was fabulous. Desserts and drinks were great as well.
