We love this place!!! Super cute cafe in Framingham (in a real neighborhood instead of on Rt. 9, which makes it super homey!). It's a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee and snack. They have a lot of Brazilian food; the pão de queijos are amazing!! They have great açaí bowls as well, and there's an assortment of Brazilian candies by the register as well which is so fun. The employees are always super sweet and service is fast. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

Pro: wheelchair accessible to the entrance and bathroom is great! Parking is available, and I imagine a person in a wheelchair will be able to park and go into the store to order food, etc. Cons: I am Deaf, and I ordered my drip coffee with extra half & half in written English. Whipped cream on it if they have it. The staff didn't tell me they didn't have whipped cream and handed me a coffee with drips. I opened it and saw there was no half & half in it, and then I saw the coffee table, so I assumed there was half and half. I walked to the table and found out that there was no half & half. There was honey, milk, and almond milk, but no half-and-half. So I went up to the counter again and waited on the long line for asking where is half & half. Located near MetroWest Medical Center, I decided to grab breakfast here while waiting for a patient. It is in an odd location near the DPW, but the inside is cute and likely designed by a fan of the Magnolia network. There is seating for about 24 people, max, but the breakfast menu has basic eggs, breakfast meats, home fries, etc. The double breakfast has 2 eggs, 2 tiny sausages, 2 strips of bacon, home fries and toast. Everything was good - no complaints with food or service. One really odd thing, though. Is there are no prices posted anywhere. Menus are blank, wall signage is blank, the website doesn't list prices, etc. I had no idea how much my breakfast was going to cost, and couldn't make decisions about what to order based on price. My breakfast, with a black coffee, was about $14.75. Overall, a nice spot if you're in the neighborhood, but certainly not a destination-type place. read more

Stopped here on a trip up from NH to Jonesport ME. We are glad we did. We hit it up about 15 minutes before closing and wound up getting about $50 worth of various pastries to bring to our son's house. Everything was really good. The most memorable were those wonderful cinnamon buns! Wow man! terrific--- highly recommend. Chocolate chip cookies were real good as well. read more

Exactly what this quiet part of Framingham needs! Warm staff, cozy cafe, delicious food. There are some brazilian treats and a large breakfast menu from which we ordered waffles and omelets. Really horrible experience today. I wish I could say there was a redeeming quality but the entire experience was bad. I ordered 2 simple dishes (eggs and a wrap) and the food came out, after asking, an hour later. It wasn't busy at all, and after inquiring I was told that the chef "left to do a delivery" and noticed there was only one cook in the kitchen. I understand it's hard to get food out as one person, but an hour is insane for having no other orders. To top it off, the food was terrible when it arrived. I came in for a quick solo brunch on my day-off and this place was what I was looking for! Service was quick, there was outdoor seating, and the food was okay. The staff was super accommodating and attentive from when I walked in to when I left. It wasn't busy when I was there on a Friday morning around 11 AM. The inside of the store was clean and the menu was easy to read. They have tables and a high-top bar inside and 6 tables outside on their little patio. It is tucked off behind the shop / away from the street, so it was super calm, shaded, and enjoyable. The tables were distanced enough from each other so I definitely did not feel like I was sitting on top of other people there. The coffee was great (bold in flavor and not watery), but I wish my waffles were made to order / hot - the bacon and sausage I had were. Everything tasted great! The portion and quality of the food matched what I paid for. I will definitely be coming back and will try something else next time! read more

I have only one word for the food at Franklin St. Cafe. That word is OMG. Okay, maybe that's three words. I just did a takeout order of what the sweet young counter woman referred to as chicken stew. What I received was a Saran wrapped takeout container that was filled with 1/4 of a freshly roasted chicken, less the drumstick, fresh steamed broccoli, carrots and green beans, about a cup of baked beans, at least one and a half cups of white rice and over 1/2 cup of sliced boiled potatoes. There was at least three pounds of food in the container, if not four. A freshly prepared side salad also came with the meal. The total cost was around $10 and this was the small size! There is enough food for two meals. All I can say is Go.Here.Now. read more

I went to Franklin St Café for the first time the other day for lunch. That's right, they are not just a coffee shop and bakery. The decor of the place is very nice and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I got one of the lunch specials for under $10 that included rice and beans, meat and your choice of two sides. Very good portion sizes. The food was delicious and the passion fruit juice hit the spot. I'll be back and certainly recommend others to try it. read more

Franklin Street Cafe is a good looking but "meh" tasting coffee shop located off the beaten path. More expensive than a Starbucks but worse tasting than a Dunkin's, the only charm is the way it looks inside. Me and my friend both got iced coffees, a bagel with cream cheese, and a breakfast sandwich. The only reason why I'm giving the cafe 2 stars is because the girl at the register somehow forgot to charge us for the food we ate and only the two coffees. That being said, we got two tiny cups of coffee and it was about $8 plus tip. Can only recommend if you're the kind of person who likes to support local businesses, regardless of how much you're getting overcharged. Also, there's a Dunkin's literally a half mile down the road. read more

Ordered once, loved it so much we ordered again a few days later, happy to spend twice as much because we knew how good it was going to be. Order: 2 cappuccinos, 2 passion fruit drinks. Brazilian meat plate. 2 Caesar salads. Potato salad, and some other items. Young lady calls right after they receive my order to explain their cappuccinos machine is broken. No problem, switch them to coffee. We hang up, short time later our food arrives. Received: 2 coffees, 2 passion fruit drinks. Caesar salad dressing, no salad. Potato Salad. Waffles with blueberries and bacon, American cheese omelette with home fries. A second side of home fries. An unnamed meat dish with white rice. Two tuna salad sandwiches. Called and texted with the driver, no bags and no other orders with him. Was very helpful, even took multiple calls from me. Called the restaurant twice, no answer. Left voice message on answering machine, called back third time and got the same young lady. I'm polite and explain the mistake that must have been made.... Tells me: "Well, actually... I gave you EXTRA food. That's what happened. I gave you extra food with your order" Me: Extra? I just want my food that I ordered. It's very nice of you to want to send me extra food for no reason, but I just wanted what I ordered. Her: To be honest, I just realize me the mistake a minute ago. Me: Right, there was a mistake but you didn't call and now I'm calling to get my order. I just left a message and now I'm calling back to get my food. Her: you left a message? Where? Me: The same number I am talking to now. You can call me about the cappuccino, but not this? Can you call your manager? I just spent my money, and I just want what I ordered. Now she raises her voice at me "no, there's nothing I can do, you'll just have to deal with it. I can't do anything for you. I sent extra food and it's the drivers fault. I can't do anything because we would have to call Grubhub and the driver and there's just extra food there for you. There is nothing I can do. And this is when I question her volume level, remind her I am a customer who's calling for her help to fix their mistake, raise my voice back at her and warn her of this incoming bad review, and wish her a good day. ------------------ My guess is this: young woman messes up and sends me someone else's order, unfortunately does not own up to mistake, blames delivery driver, and tells me to be glad with what she sent. Will be looking out for my refund and not returning again if this is how I'll be treated as a customer. Very good, I went there and got a salad, took forever for them to get it out to me and they forgot my drink with my takeout order, so I left and wasn't so happy, but when I opened the salad I was very impressed with what was provided, and it was totally delicious. Apparently they had issues getting a driver and when the food came it looked so unappetizing. the bacon was not well cooked, the sausages were burnt and the pancakes tasted so dull. the omellettes were no different.
