He just basically said we don't have to worry about this one anymore. Bad attitude . Here's the absolute truth of what happened .. let me also add I am an exemplary citizen. I work as a F/A for American Airlines going on 30 years . A very fair person and do my best to treat everyone with respect and kindness every day. .. Took my Honda accord to get AC working. Blower worked fine but needed charged . When I picked it up, it seemed to still blow warm air but thought it needed a few minutes to get cool so I drove it home in about 4 minutes. Should have went right back but I honestly thought it needed a couple minutes to get cool and I was very close to my house. I parked the car . Then I Drove it THREE days later & it blew complete hot air . I told owner about it and he did nothing for me . (even though he states that they stand behind their work .) He said with an uncaring tone, "They can blow at any time. "Really? Drive the car home in a few minutes while it's already blowing warm air and three days later it doesn't work and it blew??? You think so? I paid several hundred dollars to have this fixed. I asked several people and they said you did something wrong. I asked several people and they said you should've made it right. I still have no air condition.. He messed up and did not take accountability and responsibility . I paid several hundred dollars. I don't even know what this dishonest person did for that much money. He certainly did not change the air cabin filter either.. I'll enclose a pic. I've been so angry. I'm only now posting about it , as I'm not a complainer but he totally ripped me off. I was going to get my oil changed there recently , but it did not sit right with me to go back and give them my business and then this all came to surface again . I could hear my dad in heaven, telling me not to go to that person . I decided to tell the truth online because it's 100% true no matter what he says . People know deep inside when they aren't doing you right . There's no way that air air-conditioning was fixed . He took my money. These people do not treat others fairly. You may get a good experience here and there, but he completely ripped me off and he knows it. Also, another huge thing, he did not lock my car when I left it there & a homeless person was in my car found rooting around on his security cameras. They called me. How horrible. Police were involved. They can't even lock people's cars at night??? His answering machine is very rude as well . He tells you not to keep calling back in a rude, impatient disgusted tone. Call and listen, Although he may change it . They did not do me any service whatsoever and stole my money by not fixing my air-conditioning. Who treats a client this way? I should have been more insistent because I know that I was correct and that he was wrong, but I left because I'm not a fighter, but guess what ??My anger and his disservice finally popped out and I'm tired of it sitting on it . So here is my response now. I got ripped off because he is dishonest and I'm patient and kind. He is dishonest. Sir, you will get yours in the end. Please stand for me and Go to J&J Auto on Beaty Dr. You'll be treated politely, better communication and better price. Everything I wrote is 100% true. If I were in court. Last week, my wife's 2012 Chevy Traverse refused to crank. She had the vehicle towed to the…read moreclosest shop which was Shamrock Auto. They diagnosed the issue as a starter and we paid $800-ish for the repair. Three days later, the Traverse started throwing warning lights... the battery indicator, check engine light, and check battery charging system. In hopes that the issue was somehow connected to the new starter, we returned the car to Shamrock to diagnose. Unfortunately, they diagnosed the issue as the alternator and quoted 700-800. They suggested that I also get a new serpentine belt. With the belt, the total would be 1300. Because the vehicle is 14 years old, and we had just dropped 800 on the starter, we decided to minimize the cost of repair and we would just start looking for a more reliable replacement vehicle. We opted to save the 500-600 dollars and only get the alternator work completed. When the repairs were complete, they called to settle the bill. Expecting 700-800 dollars, I was shocked when they said the total was just shy of 1200. I asked if they had installed the serpentine belt, because this total was WAY out of line with the 700-800 originally quoted. I was told that I wasn't accounting for the THREE HOURS of labor. Maybe it's just me, but when shops quote repair estimates, they typically include the labor! I also checked online to see if I could get a good idea of what these repairs typically cost. Chevy Traverse alternators are typically replaced in the 700-800 range (total cost), with labor typically running 1-2 hours. I am not a gear head, but I have two friends that do all of their own repairs and maintenance work. Both of my friends are of the opinion that I was taken advantage of... and with zero apologies or reasonable explanations from the owner at Shamrock. I would definitely proceed with caution if you plan on utilizing this business... and get their quotes in writing BEFORE authorizing work.
