They wouldn't even keep hours open long enough for when a patient needed urgent attention, even if it was rather difficult. It's a huge disappointment for me, and I was forced to reconsider changing my new primary care doctor and physical therapy in my local area without a communication barrier and being behind on needs. I won't be using this urgent care again for not getting my case resolved. Please listen to your own body, not others, and do what you have every right to protect yourself away from danger risk!

Terrible experience…read more Today, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at around 1:00 PM, I visited the Miami Beach location because I injured my foot and was in significant pain. Since I don't have insurance, I was informed that the medical consultation would cost $140 and the X-rays $80. After the nurse took my X-rays, Dr. Luis Cabrera never brought me into an exam room, never asked about my symptoms, never looked at my foot, and never performed a physical examination. He simply looked at the X-rays, said he couldn't see anything, recommended that I see a foot specialist, and told me the radiologist wasn't available to interpret the X-rays. When I asked who was going to perform my medical examination, he replied that he didn't need to examine me because he already knew I had injured a toe. I explained that he had never even looked at my foot, but he insisted he didn't need to. When I asked how he could give a medical opinion without examining the patient, he dismissively told me to "find someone to explain it to you." I then asked, "If you're not going to examine me, why am I being charged $140 for a medical consultation?" At that point, Dr. Cabrera became angry, told me not to pay anything, and ordered me to leave the clinic. The entire incident happened in front of the nurse and the receptionist, making the experience humiliating and deeply unprofessional. I left the clinic without receiving a medical examination or treatment and without paying, because Dr. Cabrera told me to leave. I have never been treated with such disrespect by a physician. I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience.

The check in process was quick and easy. I was seen by the Medical Technician, Jorge Leyva who promptly took my vitals and during my visit administered a couple Nebulizer treatments. He was very polished medical technician with great medical knowledge. He answered many questions and had good patient skills, listening, empathy and real concern for my well being. Lastly, I saw Dr. Joseph Ballarini who diagnosed my condition as Bronchitis and prescribed the nebulizer treatment as well as 2 prescriptions. Dr. Ballarini has over 20 years experience and is the owner operator of the Miami Beach Urgent Care. His approach to patient care is second to none. In my 69 years on Planet Earth have I ever experienced such outstanding patient care. Dr. Balerini was down to Earth, very knowledgeable and could relate to me at a patient level versus using a lot of medical terminology. His bedside manner is excellent. There's a waiting area outside the clinic. Compared to regular doctors, the wait times here is much shorter, and you will be attended to as soon as they are done with the patient visit in progress. After the visit, I picked up the medicine prescribed to me from the pharmacy inside the store. So convenient!

There are two homeless gentlemen, one who shaves in public uses the back bathroom to take a cleaning in the bathroom while carrying a large suitcase. I would post his photo, but I don't want to due to privacy issues. Why don't they go to the library? Or someplace where they could do something besides sleeping, it is scary. It is really scary. Sometimes I've checked in and I've had to wait about 10 minutes, sometimes I've had to wait an hour to get lab work. It's so unpredictable. Dr Carlos Castañeda was extremely rude, spent 10 minutes performing a "physical" that consisted of 9 minutes being on the computer. I didn't know what to do so I was looking at him typing which he got him upset. Although the staff at check in, nurses, labs, and accounting are great, I wouldn't want anybody to get this type of treatment at a doctor's office so I wouldn't recommend coming here.
