From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel cared for. The vet tech saw us quickly, and even though the only vet on staff was in the middle of surgery on a dog, they kept us informed and reassured. At 9:00 at night, I completely understand the wait. Both the vet tech and the vet were caring, gracious, and patient. They understood that we were there for a long time and that we were anxious about Willow. The vet spent more time with us than we typically get at Willow's primary care, answering all of our questions, explaining everything clearly, and making sure we felt comfortable with the plan. The clinic itself felt professional and welcoming. I did notice the floors could have been cleaner, but I'll admit I'm overly picky about that. What mattered most was the quality of care, and that was exceptional. Willow is now much better and mobile again, though we're still being careful with her leg. The price is higher than some other places, but the care and compassion we received here were worth every penny. I'm grateful to have a place like this nearby for emergencies.

During one of the hardest weeks of our lives, their team showed up for our sweet 10 month old kitten, Habanero, with so much compassion and care. Habby was fighting an FIP relapse paired with pneumonia, and from the moment we walked in, we felt supported. The staff took the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question, and treat both our boy and us with genuine kindness. They never made us feel rushed. They understood how much he meant to us. What stood out most was how human they were. They celebrated small wins with us, sat with us in the hard conversations, and treated Habby like he was their own. In moments that felt overwhelming and heartbreaking, their steadiness and empathy made all the difference. We are so grateful to the entire team for fighting for our orange boy and for loving him alongside us. Thank you for honoring him and for taking such good care of our family. RIP Habanero ‍

Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.

Everyone seemed very eager to help and made th process smoothe. We liked the open concept because we were able to see the care provided not only to our dog but to the other pets as well. All of the staff worked as such a great team, and the communication between them seemed flawless. We were seen by Dr. Majors, and our tech was Hannah. Both of them were very reassuring and treated Florence like their own. VEG is a very pet family oriented vet, seeing us as a whole and not just a couple people with an animal. When it came time for the price, we were met with such nice transparency, and the DVM was honest with what she recommended and did not try to make us agree to anything that was unnecessary while also making sure we had the option to take all the tests if we so desired. I would absolutely recommend this emergency vet. We have been to another in Carrollton which did not come close to the level of care we experienced here. Thank you!

Horrified beyond measure, I scooped my baby up and jumped into the car to seek medical attention. We have a number of veterinary ERs that have popped up around our McKinney neighborhood, but I opted to risk the extra drive to get my baby into the care of VEG in Allen. While I had never experienced their emergency services, I had experienced their customer service once before--when I had the misfortune of losing her brother on Thanksgiving Day in 2024. We found this place by chance after being treated very coldly and callously by another establishment, which led us to VEG. That experience stuck with me, and thank God it did. In both instances, they treated me and my family with respect, compassion, and great care. Mica had three more mini seizures while in their care, and the staff was immediately on top of it. They were very upfront and clear in their communication, making sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. This allowed me to make informed decisions. It was my biggest fear that I would walk into a grave prognosis--which, on paper, it was documented as such: "grave to guarded." Be that as it may, I truly feel they gave my baby the fighting chance that saved her life. Not once did they bring up euthanasia, and thank goodness, because I don't think my heart could have handled it. I prayed to God to let her see her 12th birthday, which was the very next day, April 2--and sure enough, we made it. She is now 96 hours post-seizure, with no additional episodes since. We were prescribed and provided a rescue dose of midazolam in the event of another seizure, and should it happen again, you can guess where we'll be going. Thank you, specifically, to Dr. Majors, Taylar, and Walter. I am forever grateful for how you cared for us that day. You rolled up your sleeves and sprang into action. May you all serve as the example for how services like this should be rendered. From kissing my baby's forehead, to accommodating all of our needs in such a stressful moment, to sitting on the floor with us--it was all noticed and deeply appreciated. Happy Easter, and thank you again for the gift of a second chance at life.

We were immediately taken back to a room where they asked the standard questions and Dr. Kline promptly came in. The reason for our visit was to get our foster dog help for his prior tail injury that was bleeding and infected. We explained our situation to them and were quoted an initial price of between $200 to almost $500 if he needed meds to calm down. We asked them to do their best to forgo the calming meds since he was a foster dog after all and we were paying out of our own pocket. They were able to get him taken care of without the calming meds and the final price came out to lower than the lower end quote, which we greatly appreciated. Dr. Kline was amazing and took her time answering all our questions and made suggestions on a better cone for him. She even wrote a script to keep him calm if he panicked in the cone. I greatly appreciated that she allowed us to get it filled elsewhere since it's a medication humans can take as well and it's much cheaper at grocery stores. They were prompt, courteous, and most importantly, helped our foster dog actually be able to lay down to get some rest. We wouldn't hesitate to come here again if needed!

Since the IV wasn't done right, our dog began writhing in pain, yelping and licking her leg where her IV was. The vet tried to assure us that propofol doesn't burn! What medical professional says that about propofol?? THEN after several minutes our dog was still awake because the IV wasn't placed correctly. BUT the vet began trying to push the final (lethal) meds to put our dog to sleep while she was still fully awake! When we asked him to wait until she was asleep he got upset and said, "let us do our job!" He then tried to blame their bad IV on us! For moving our dog around. We were not moving her around. Anyway we took our dog home and got a full refund. Had he pushed the "final medication" like he tried our dog would have suffered a slow, painful death due to the meds being absorbed sub-q (aka not in the IV)! Finally I'd like to say that the staff there is wonderful. They are kind, compassionate and helpful. I would not trust the vet though

We believed she had passed on the car ride over, but when we arrived they took her to the back and Dr. Echevarria came to us and said she had a faint heartbeat. We said we wanted to hold her while she passed, and Dr. Echevarria proceeded to disappear for 15 minutes, leaving us in a room while our dog passed alone without us by her side. While this was happening, we were obviously very distressed, asking every employee we saw what was going on and where our dog was. When we finally saw Dr. Echevarria, we asked for our dog so we could hold her, she told us very rudely "we have other patients" and turned away. I cannot believe how heartless and uncompassionate these people are here. I would NEVER ever ever step foot in this place if you are in the vulnerable position of having your dog be at the end of their life. Dr. Echevarria stole our dog from us, stole that moment of being with her as she passed from us, then was rude to us on top of it. Her staff was apologizing to us for her attitude, blaming it on her having worked a long shift, but there is no excuse for what she did to us and our precious dog. We used MedVet Frisco's services to help care for our dog Sophie when she was having a medical emergency, and we were really pleased with the level of care she was given. Sadly, Sophie did not make it, but it's really important to recognize how hard MedVet Frisco worked to give our girl a fighting chance. My husband and I are forever grateful to Dr. Tierney and Dr. Triplett who worked in the subsequent days to stabilize her and assess what if anything could be done to heal her. The medical emergency happened unexpectedly. One moment Sophie was on a routine walk, the next; she was having some kind of respiratory attack, like she was hyperventilating. Having just been to our normal vet only 4 days prior; we called them first and described the situation. They immediately referred us to MedVet Frisco because they said she would need to be placed in an oxygen cage, which was not available at their facility. I called MedVet to let them know we were on our way, and based on what I told them about what was happening, they said they would meet us at the car with a gurney. When we arrived in the parking lot, the medical team met us at our car to transfer Sophie to a gurney and rushed her inside to immediately start working on stabilizing her. I was also given paperwork to acknowledge how much of a deposit would need to be taken to get started. From there we were led to a quiet waiting room, and after a while, the doctor was able to give us an update on her condition. She had pneumonia in the right lung and it was spreading to her left. Over the next few days we placed deposits on her care so she could remain in the oxygen cage, and have more tests run to see what was going on, but she was not getting better. We got to visit Sophie in the evenings, but the last day, we knew it was time to say goodbye. You never want to see your pet suffer, and knowing that she could not even breathe outside the oxygen cage, and her quality of life was not getting better, it was time to let her run free. We had all the time we needed to see her on her way, and after she was put to sleep; we were given more time in a private room to hold her and grieve. The choices we made for her cremation were taken care of before she was put to sleep and we were told we would receive an email in a few days to make adjustments if we wanted any changes made. After that, a refund would be issued to us, since we had already made a deposit on that night's overnight stay. After 2 weeks, we were able to pick up Sophie's cremated remains, and bring her back home. The kindness and professionalism of the team at MedVet Frisco will always be remembered. We had hoped for the best and the reality was Sophie was 14 years old. The doctors worked very hard to give us their assessments and what options were available. We felt like they were doing all they could to help our girl while being humane and cognizant of her fragile condition. The care was expensive, but I also have to recognize that they gave her round-the clock care, tests and did what they could to make her last days as comfortable as possible. This gave us peace of mind knowing that she got the best care available- because we know she'd do the same for us. I'm very grateful to MedVet for having excellent doctors and staff that care and are outstanding professionals. Thank you.

She had extensive nerve damage to her face and was not able to swallow any food or react to any touch on the left side of her face. Immediately after finding her, I called MedVet. I brought her in within an hour and a half and she stayed there Monday and Tuesday. I have never felt as comfortable leaving my 16 year old cat at a vet's office as I felt leaving her here. I could see that the staff had true intention of making her comfortable and working her towards recovery. The staff was endearing and prompt every time I called them (multiple times a day) and every time I randomly showed up to spend time with my Olive. The love they had for Olive was obvious. I had never been through anything like this and I would not have been as okay as I was without the staff at this location. They put in an esophageal feeding tube for her due to her being unable to swallow. Putting a 16 year old cat under has its own risks, but they allowed me to come by before the procedure and spend nearly two hours with Olive, alone in a room, before the risky procedure. Dr Triplett was the doctor who performed the procedure and when I went to the Dallas MedVet location to purchase her etube collar, the employees had nothing but praises towards her and her one of her staff workers, Erin. I could not have agreed more with them. They were patient in teaching me exactly how it worked and once again were very patient with me every time I called or emailed them with nonsense following Olives discharge. The staff suggested that even showing signs beginning to swallow could start around 8-12 weeks, but we are 4 weeks later and she is about 90% back to normal. No feeding tube and back to her regular eating habits. Once again, I cannot thank the staff enough at this location for taking care of my Olive and I during an incredibly stressful time.
