We always do takeout here, usually once a month or so. Like most Asian restaurants, it's hit or miss. Most of the time it's good.

Ordered $200 worth of food, and found a cockroach as we were eating.... We were hosting family in town from out of state. They were craving Chinese food. Our usual place was closed, so we decided to go with Mee King since it was close by. All of us had already had at least one plate full of food, and some of us had gone for seconds. It was then that someone looked down at their plate (one of their last bites) and saw a dead cockroach. It had come from either the rice or the lo mein. We all immediately stopped eating and lost our appetites. We contacted Mee King and they refunded us our order and had a delivery driver (not friendly by the way) come pick up all the food. Never again will order from here. Gave 1 star because it doesn't let you review without doing so. read more

I ordered at 4 in the afternoon, the food should be fresh. I picked up and paid $125 for my order. When my guests and I sat down to eat i couldn't believe how dry and hard the spare ribs were, like they had been under a heat lamp for days. If that wasn't enough the beef teriyaki was BURNED. These are visual problems, they saw what they were packaging up. No mistake. I waited until my guests left to contact them, unfortunately, they had closed for the evening. I called Thursday the next day and the woman that answered said call back because she didn't work Wednesday. I called back Friday and the all of a sudden didnt understand what I was talking about. Clearly at Mee King in Bridgewater the customer means nothing. A valid complaint and I was treated as an idiot. I know they speak English we used to buy food there regularly but will NEVER go there again. read more

Mee King Garden in Bridgewater is pretty middle of the road. The food is just average--not bad, but nothing that really stands out or makes you want to rush back. The interior could definitely use some updating, as it feels a bit tired and in need of attention. That said, the place has potential. With some serious effort put into both the menu and the atmosphere, it could become a much better spot. For now, it's okay if you're in the area and looking for Chinese food, but it doesn't leave a lasting impression. read more

Pork egg foo yong tastes fishy. Owner says it's not fish, but I don't like it. My son doesn't notice that it's not as good as we've had so... Chicken fingers are all breading with very little chicken. read more

Unfortunately, the quality of Mee King Garden has gone down hill significantly over the past few orders and I'm not sure we will be back. With a lack of good Chinese food restaurants in Bridgewater, Mee King use to be the best in town and the food was quite good but the consistency of the food has suffered significantly the past few times we have ordered. The combination appetizer platters used to be our go-to order with pork fried rice served with 3-4 appetizers. Typically, we would go with chicken fingers, boneless spare ribs, an egg roll and either beef or chick teriyaki. The past few orders, the rice has been so inconsistent it has gone from being very good to very bad quickly. The boneless spare ribs were remarkably fatty to the point of not being edible. We also usually add on an order of pan fried noodles and these noodles the past few times have gone from being very good to being seasoned with a bitter, pungent flavor that is either garlic or bad onions. Blech. Delivery here used to be pretty reliable, as well, but lately the orders have not been timely and have arrived being a touch cold. Not what you want from Chinese food! Unfortunately, this downward trajectory of the quality from Mee King has not been a one time event and family and friends have also commented on the food going down hill. Not sure we will be back anytime soon given the past few experiences. read more

Just realized that I have not written a review for this place. We love getting our American-Chinese takeout fix from this place. They have hands down one of the better boneless spareribs comparable to those in Chinatown. The egg rolls are great and so is the beef teriyaki. No complains when it comes to their pork fried rice in all its greasy, msg-ed glory. Then again, that is what I expect when I order Chinese take-outs. I personally will go for their General Gau's Chicken, then again, I really like the General. Hubby loves their Szechuan Chicken, which I am not a fan of. The crab rangoons are always fried to crispy perfection and the hot and sour soup is your usual Chinese food fare. Chicken Wonton Soup is okay but I won't say great. They usually have coupons at the bottom of the menu that gives you a few bucks off. Use them wisely. Delivery usually takes 30 mins - 45 mins, which is okay considering we are located in the next town of where Mee King is. read more

Used to be our go to place. Have not been there since covid. Was in Bridgewater today ordered on phone ready on time. Got home and tried fried chicken and shrimp batter was so hard and chicken and shrimp was dried out. Couldn't eat it. Low mein was dried out and no flavor and rubbery. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I have to warn others. I've only tried this restaurant once but it's a one and done for me. The people were pleasant and it looks like a nice atmosphere inside, although I can't really comment on the dine-in experience because I got a takeout order. Usually when I open a bag of Chinese takeout the aromas are wonderful and I can't wait to dig in. That was not at all the case with the food from this restaurant. My senses were immediately overwhelmed by a terribly unpleasant odor. I don't know quite what it was. Maybe the oil was rancid? Maybe some of the food had gone off. I really don't know but it smelled and tasted just awful and I couldn't eat much and only by drenching it in duck sauce. Mind you, I was very hungry and I'm not a picky eater so you know it had to be really bad for me to not want to eat it. The worst part is that I was very sick a few hours later and the whole next day, not sick enough to go to the hospital, but let's just say that it worked better than a colonoscopy prep drink. read more

I came here for dinner with some friends post-COVID. We ordered a scorpion bowl for the table then each of us ordered a dinner special. Me and one of my friends had the general gau's dinner while my BF had the sesame chicken. The bowl was delicious! There were no complaints about the sesame chicken. I just got two large #24 which are pork fried rice with 4 apps, absolutely delicious everything was great! I live in Dedham now but used to order from Mee king when I was in Bridgewater sometimes.. they consistently had really good Chinese food which is hard to come by these days. My girlfriend and I have visited this restaurant on separate occasions and we both left suffering from the worst food poisoning we've ever experienced. It was was so bad, I had to go outside and vomit in our yard because I wanted my family to be able to rest and not listen to me vomit and shit myself alive in the bathroom. I was vomiting bile. My girlfriend suffered the same fate when she visited the Mee King Garden. She called the restaurant afterwards and they refused to do anything about it because she didn't go to the hospital. I'm a big fan. The food is really good and it's affordable. The portion sizes are also great. The staff is super friendly, and they are happy to explain any menu items to you. I couldn't decide between rice or lo mein and went with lo mein but they brought me a little free sample of rice, so nice and unexpected. They have fun cocktails too! I'll start with yuck! Staff was nice enough. We ordered 71.00 worth of food to take home. The Sesame chicken was barely cooked, hardly no sauce and NO flavor. The Lo Mein we requested extra onions & extra pea pods, got neither. The fried rice was only ok, no flavor had to add soy & duck sauce to make it moist. Next up was the Peking Ravioli....these were absolutely disgusting! We ordered them fried. Fried, hahahaha...they were barely warm. Big soggy blobs of dough. Had to actually cook them at home! The only 2 things that were decent were the spare ribs & crab rangoon. But not so good to make up for the rest of the food. Will NEVER go back!! read more

We gave this a few tries. The very first time was New Year's Eve so really there was no judgement for that because it's a crazy busy night. But every time we get food, it is so greasy. Stay Away!!! I really don't know where to start. Food-sucks, Staff-sucks, New location-sucks. Their whole system is screwed up, you can only order certain food at the bar, and then theres limitations to what you can order while siiting down. Do you want my fucking money or not? I am so happy to find Chinese food that is really good around here that is not overpriced and very fresh!! We ordered 2 nights in a row it was so yummy. No complaints and they give a ton of duck sauce and speak English when you call :) We mostly ordered apps and house rice...really yummy! No way.. I usually open my fortune cookie before i eat, which was the case this time, and it says 'Learn from your Mistakes' come to realize that my mistake was ordering from Mee King Garden . Where to start... I ordered Chicken wings but they gave me dried pieces of chicken fingers instead.. Beef Fried rice tasted like greasy paper... and Crab Rangoon was Rangoon Crab. I do not like to waste food but there s no way I'm eating this. Well I've learned from my mistake . I would suggest Chatta Box which in my opinion is the best in Bridgewater from what I've tried so far. read more

The food was disgusting! Spareribs we're all fat and the pork fried rice tasted old. Tasted like I kept in the fridge for two days and then microwaved it... but the funny thing is I just bought it!!! Really grossed out tonight after opening my delivered takeout bag and finding a cockroach in the food. I called to report, first was offered credit for next visit. I said no. Then was asked to bring food back for a credit. I said I didn't want it in my car and had tipped driver very well. Management agreed to give a refund in full and pickup food. Felt bad for delivery guy who returned his tip. Noone from restaurant seemed surprised by complaint of roaches! Got a feeling they're infested to be get such nonchalant responses. read more
