Attended a Yelp event where there were 4 different businesses present, what's not to love!? Had a blast at Meet and Eat. I've passed it several times, but this was my first time experiencing it. Cool concept where you build a charcuterie board from a buffet line of cheeses, crackers, and meat options. They were all really good and the different pairing options like honey, peppers, jams made it even better. The pepper guy was good. He had a variety of heat levels and I particularly enjoyed the tanginess of the Awaken the Dead and the graduated heat of the Sting of Ancients. Due to the versatility of the Awaken I did purchase that one. The Daughters Dumplings has a great family story and everyone seemed to really enjoyed the fried dumpling. I took mine home to steam as she suggested and they ARE very good. I used my tangy pepper sauce on them and it paired well. My favorite of the four was Natalie's Tamales. They apparently were a last minute addition and I'm so glad they were. Owned by a sweet lady who puts actual love and care in her food. I like tamales, but I LOVED her tamales. Absolutely delicious! You must try them for yourself and follow her on Instagram. Ambience is modern, Instagramable, full wine bar, open meeting space with screen available for presentation and small kitchenette area. We had a work team-building event here with a wine pairing, and it was such a wonderful experience. I loved learning why each wine paired so well with the meats, cheeses, and even the spices on the pizza. They also highlighted and incorporated other small businesses in Larkin, which made it feel even more special. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the building itself is stunning. Complete with custom wallpaper and beautiful art that set the perfect atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic event. Came here for an event in which my review for the event is listed separately. This review is my overall take on the venue and what I ordered personally: First of all, I found the location nice. There is street parking or parking in a lot across the street. I parked in the lot without issue and I felt safe walking in this area. The building it is located in is cute ... there is a boutique that's cute and I would love to combine some charcuterie and wine with shopping to follow! What a cute ladies night out, right? Meet & Eat was very clean and modern. It was somehow cozy yet spacious at the same time. There is a cute wall for selfies, with a sign that says "don't worry, brie happy" that was clever! The bathroom was nice and clean and provided products if necessary for women. There was a coat rack back there as well in the hallway. Classes are offered here is you want. You can just hang at the bar if you choose. The drink menu had a peach Bellini that was so very delicious. The cost came to $10.88 for it for reference. I'd love to come back here sometime. I've been here a couple of times and I must say this cozy place has so much to offer, catering to various interests and dietary needs. I came for a business happy hour and enjoyed a large charcuterie spread and a few delicious white wines. They have a great selection of white, red, rose, and sparkling wines with tons of cheese, fruit, chocolate, and salty snack pairings. I attended a more private event over the holidays and got to experience a wine pairing where the sommelier guided us through each pairing and I learned so much! The owner is so sweet and kind and I loved hearing her story of going from Corporate to Cheese (lol!). They offer non-alcoholic options and host many events as well as space available for private events. I really wanted to like this place, but it was a letdown. For a charcuterie-focused spot, charging extra for prosciutto feels unreasonable--and the quality didn't justify it. It had a strange color and an off smell, which was concerning. Overall, everything felt pretty basic, especially considering the prices. Even a bottle of Pellegrino was $5, which just added to the sense that you're paying a premium without getting much in return. Unfortunately, not somewhere I'd go back to. read more

I love this new spot on Seneca in Larkin. Since they opened up, it's been such a cool concept to the storefronts on Seneca. I will be definitely coming here for meetings too as they come up. I needed a place for a quick work sesh and meeting and I wanted to make sure it was a clean, inviting space. This was the spot for sure to check off both of those things. I made myself a board to have a little snack beforehand and it was delicious. Every single item on the board tasted fresh and it really all complimented each other flavor wise. This space is so beautiful too. The owner has spent so much time and effort to make this a great space full of different local items to buy as well as a diverse collection of wines on the wall as well. Such a cute little spot near Larkin. We stopped in for lunch, and they weren't busy so the workers took the time to explain everything and show us their grab and go options. We decided to make a charcuterie board and eat in. We got to choose two cheeses, two meats, and some fruit with crackers and olives. It was the perfect light lunch for two people. Everyone was so friendly and they have some local cheeses and olive oils to sell as well. The venue was casual, comfortable, clean and perfect for a two-hour wine and cheese gathering for 18-22 of us and then off to the Sabres game (perfect location). The layout is beautiful and the owner walked us thru the steps of creating our individual boards with cutting, display and pairing of all the items. Lovely place! Attended the Yelp event tonight and I am impressed. The inside is tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. You first walk in to a small market area that will be further stocked with more local goods. You can choose your size cheeseboard (or cup!). If you aren't sure what to get they'll make a board for you. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly! They even feature local cheese products. Round it out with a lovely glass of wine. I thought it was a little expensive especially because they don't tell you like what type of meat everything is or cheese. I didn't think the quality was justified in pricing and quantity.
