With red beans, jelly, taro, different things, you can add to it. But I like just how they prepare it. You can't go wrong on any of the desserts. They're all very tasty. I usually get their wintermelon milk tea with boba and an icey jello bowl. The wintermelon milk tea is good. nothing special, just your average wintermelon milk teas but i'm a sucker for a good wintermelon milk tea even if it taste the same everywhere. The icey jelly bowl is filled with grass jelly, potato and taro mochi balls, shaved ice with what i believe is brown sugar syrup, and i always add a vanilla ice cream. Service is great but also not much of an experience. you just order with a tablet and the worker calls your number. there's a lot of tables at this location and tables for bigger parties. they have a nice modern design to it, however sometimes you can find the place a little dirty sometimes because i think the people making the desserts are the same ones that clean the place and it can get really busy so it's understandable. It's been a hot minute since I've been to a Meet Fresh. The last time I went was to the location in Irvine. I came here right after having lunch next door, and it was a good choice! The place is very spacious and I would say a good place to work, as long as you don't mind that the music is a bit loud. There are various tables you can work at with plenty of outlets around. You can order at a self-ordering kiosk or front at the counter with a staff. On the menu, they offer various desserts/snacks and drinks. For some teas you can adjust the sweetness while others have a set sweetness. I got the mango passionfruit green tea, and the tea wasn't too sweet and just right for me. You can either order with the staff or you can order at their kiosk. They were busy prepping as they had just opened when we arrived so we opted for the kiosk. I got the Icy Grass Jelly Signature which came with grass jelly, taro balls, grass jelly shaved ice and coffee creamer (half & half). My friend opted for the hot tofu pudding with taro balls and taro. My portion was huge and very satisfying- at just under $9. Hers was a bit more disappointing- hence why I deducted 1 star. She ordered taro balls as extra topping which they charged her an additional $1.20 but when her order arrived she literally only got 2 little taro balls. But overall, she enjoyed her dessert too. This location is inside a fairly good sized shopping center with a lot to do. There are restaurants and other another boba place (ShareTea) and even a Sprouts! Parking lot has plenty of space for parking so that shouldn't be an issue. Definitely looking forward to my next visit to this Meet Fresh location! read more

I stopped by Meet Fresh on my birthday (11/11) around 2:30 PM to treat myself to dessert after a long week. I ordered two drinks (one to take home for my husband), a hot tofu boba pudding with rice balls, and an original waffle. Since the system didn't let me choose which items were to-go, I marked the order as dine-in. When the food came, I noticed the egg waffle was wrapped in parchment paper instead of a box, which was surprising because I remember they used to come in a box. I went up to the counter and asked for a box, and that's when things got frustrating. The Asian girl working there paused, gave me a weird look, and told me she can't give me one because they charge 50 cents for boxes. I said I didn't mind paying and even took out my wallet to grab 50 cents. A Hispanic guy behind the counter kindly grabbed a box, but she stopped him and told him (in front of me) that they charge for it and he couldn't give it to me. It was so unnecessary. I told her I'd pay a dollar if it was that serious, and after all that, she just handed me the box and said, "It's okay." Then she added that they don't take cash anyway. Why make something so simple so complicated? The whole experience ruined my mood. I ended up losing my appetite, didn't finish my tofu pudding, and left early. If charging for a box is such a big deal, it would've helped if they explained it upfront or added an option to pay for it at the kiosk when ordering. On a positive note, the Hispanic guy deserves a raise for actually trying to help. He showed great customer service, unlike the other employee. This place seriously needs to work on training staff to communicate better and treat customers with more respect. I tried both to call and also place an online order but both ways got me a number unable to take voice mail and a message pop up that the location was either closed or not taking online orders. I drove over and placed my order at the self serve kiosk with ease, waiting maybe 10 minutes maximum to walk out of there with treats in hand. I got the taro ball combos: one had peanuts and the other has taro slices (they are one of my favorite snacks), also a mango Mochi shaved ice dessert- altogether was over $30 but they do participate in the Upside program , so that's cool. I understand there is only one person serving and preparing but should definitely be polite and not walk away when I am making orders when I asked for clarification on the menu and making orders. Finally went on the recommendation of my cousin who lives in LA. He was so surprised that we had never been to Meet Fresh considering we live in Cerritos. The space itself is a big open café essentially with plenty of tables to hang out with friends or do some work on your laptop. Nice and tidy and bright. The servers we've interacted with I've always been super friendly, but you can also order and pay at the kiosk if that's your vibe. First time we went, we got the icy grass jelly signature with ice cream, and three creamers, just like my cousin recommended. It was hella good, refreshing, very fresh, and not too heavy. Exactly what we wanted. A few days later, we came back and got the signature, shave, ice, and added sesame balls. We were so surprised at how big it was, but my wife and I knew how to put it down lol. Definitely recommend the sesame balls, they have a nice almost smoky and umami flavor, which is a great addition to the dessert. The chain closes at 10 PM, and we arrived at 9 PM which is well within business hours. As soon as we walked in, the first thing the worker told us was, "just so you know, the shave ice is only being served in a to-go cup." I asked why, since they still had a full hour left until closing, and the worker said it was simply because they close at 10. I was honestly shocked. If you're open until 10, you should be serving customers the same way until 10. What made it worse was that the to-go cup wasn't even close in size to the dine-in bowl. The dine-in "large" was $15, and the to-go "large" was the exact same price, but clearly smaller. When I asked the worker directly if the to-go portion was the same as the dine-in bowl, she admitted it was not. How is it fair to charge the same amount for less product? We were a group of 6 ready to order, but we felt completely misled and refused to pay $15 for a smaller serving just because they didn't want to give us the proper bowl an hour before closing. It was incredibly frustrating to waste a 20-minute drive only to be turned away with unfair service. Shame on this location for not valuing customers' time, money, or experience. What really bothered me was the unprofessionalism--especially because it looked like this person was training a new employee. As someone who works in food service myself, I know how important respectful communication is. There was absolutely no need to speak that way, especially when we were being quiet, respectful customers in an empty shop.
