Wow! This place is great! We had a great time celebrating a birthday here! You can either do hotpot, Korean bbq, or both! We chose to do both, and it was a great decision. All you can eat meat, veggies, noodles, and a whole bunch of stuff on the bar for only around 40 bucks a person!! I think the actual total is 35.99 per person, but I'm not 100% sure. So this is a solid hot pot/barbecue combo. They have a really cool conveyor belt for the veggies and noodles. But if you're not seated next to the conveyor belt or you don't wanna wait for things to come around almost everything on the conveyor belt is also available on the Wall sections on the other side as well. The barbecue meats were well marinated when that was the case. It seemed fresh and they were a nice thick cut, which is great for the barbecue. The self-serve hot pot meat was a new thing for me. I've only ever been where they bring it out to you and if you're not used to Hot pot seeing the frozen meat rolls can be a little bit jarring but it's OK I promise. They also have a fun selection of drinks, including Boba teas with lots of options. Wheelchair accessibility: so right off the bat there's not a lot of great parking options and we did not see an accessible parking space close. There's a double door entrance, which is very tight and would be hard to navigate by a chair user on their own. Other than that this restaurant actually really wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the fact that the floors are super slippery and this I guess is for both chair users and ambulatory humans. It's just slippery. The bathrooms are fine. There's a nice accessible stall and everything was reachable and the door into the bathroom was really light. The height of the Hot pot table is actually the perfect height for a wheelchair user which is tricky at a lot of these different restaurants. So kudos to that. read more

My niece invited me and her mom to join her for dinner at Shabu-Shabu. We arrived and it was about a 25-35 minute wait. Also plan to pay for street parking. Once our table was ready, we were seated at the door with a 1/2 table but it worked since it was just three of us. If I returned I'd want to do a full table as it was difficult to cook and talk to each other at a half table. There are tons of raw meat, veggie, seafood, noodles, rice options to grill or add to your hot pot. Along with sushi and desserts. Everything I had was good except the sushi which was bland and tasted like it sat out for hours. I also wish it wasn't buffet style with so many hands touching everything. Plus the plates were stored beneath the food and were hard to reach. I stood most of the time to cook because of the table set up. I'm not sure how others did it but I had to go get clean plates to place my food on after cooking because I refused to put cooked food on a plate with formerly raw meat. There also needs to be clean bowls available for finished hot pot food. I had to use the ramen bowl I had from the conveyor belt. Speaking of the conveyor belt, I'm confused about its point an only one person at our table could reach it. Things were not labeled and the majority were available on the buffet. My niece enjoyed herself so that's what really mattered. However, she's the one that gave it 3 stars so not the best or her favorite but also not bad. I will say (and I never mentioned this to my niece because I didn't want to ruin the evening) that I used the restroom and while washing my hands saw one of the workers use the restroom and never wash her hands! We do need more Hot Pot places around the city! Stopped by on a weekend when they opened and a line was already forming! Staff is welcoming and seat you quickly. It's a well or orchestrated machine in there! Drink orders and broths ordered and then you're off to the buffet of meats. The buffet has a lot of meats to select for the Hot Pot or grill. Plus some good sushi and dumplings. Kimchi and seaweed salad were fresh. The fun part was also watching the veggies pass by your table on the conveyor belt! Opted for miso and made the mistake of rice noodle vs ramen. Noodles disintegrated (rookie move). It was a lot of fun putting stuff in the broth and delicious. We grilled and galbi was a little fatty but bulgogi was good. Cream puffs were meh but if you come here, you're coming got the true star - the Hot Pot. Street and lots are paid parking. They have a small lot out back with 7 spots. Also expect a line during any popular mealtimes. We went on a Sunday around 8:20 pm and they weren't taking any more names for the wait list. read more

We have eaten here twice. Once was a few years ago and once was last week. The difference is pretty stark, but the food makes up for it. The first time we came it was super busy, but everything was clean and full. Last week we went and it was right at opening and they didn't have many noodles or anything on the conveyor belt. We did do a lot of grill cooking this time, but mainly because the noodles were nonexistent. The floor was knsaly slick which is dangerous since I had just had hip surgery and we all were sliding like an ice skating rink. Could be from the humidity or steam. I absolutely loved Shabu Shabu! I have been hearing from friends for so long how good and how much fun it is for so long and I finally went. It was worth the wait! You can either choose to do the Shabu Shabu which is hot pot, the Korean BBQ, or the combo of both. All of my friends and I opted to do both since it was our first time going. There's a huge buffet of foods to choose from and you can get as much as you want from it. Then you bring it to your table to cook on either the BBQ plates or broths of your choosing. I picked the Tonkatsu which will probably be my go to choice. I also tried the Szechuan spicy which was very spicy! If you're not great on spice like me, probably not the way to go. Nice to try a little taste though. In addition to the regular things for hot pot and KBBQ they also have some sushi options which is a fun addition. While definitely not the point of the restaurant, the desserts were definitely a little lacking. I wanted a sweet treat at the end of my meal, but there wasn't really an option that quite caught my eye. All that being said, my friends and I all had such a great time and I'm definitely so excited to go back. It is a little expensive, but I thought it was worth it. One thing to be creative about is parking. The parking garage next to the restaurant used to be free, but it seems that it has switched to paid within the last few months. Our hotel in Nashville was directly across the street from Shabu-Shabu, which made it an incredibly convenient option within walking distance of several hotels in the area. Our group ordered the Hotpot and BBQ combination for $34.99 per person. It was absolutely worth the price. This was a fun experience to do with my family. How it works is you order the broth you want, each seat has a little warmer so everyone gets their own little hot pot which was nice so people can get different ones. They'll bring you the broth and then you go to the buffet to get your proteins and veggies for your hot pot. There's a little thing that goes around with the noodles for you to choose. Limited options with the carb choices, it's either ramen, rice noodle, or rice cake only, and the only vegetables that I saw that were green were lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and bok choy. I was craving hotpot and this place had decent ratings online. First off, parking is a nightmare. They do not offer validation and most parking spots require you to pay. We go lucky and got a free spot directly behind the restaurant but there are only maybe 5ish available? A lot of people were parking in a construction site but I'm not sure I would advise doing this. Upon entering we were seated quickly but the hot pot only seats were tiny. So tiny that when you got your meats and veggies for your hot pot, you literally had no space for anything. I didn't even have room for a napkin and. I was sitting on top of my neighbor. The buffet was set up horribly- it was so small and crowded you couldn't move. The revolving conveyor line was pretty much useless as all of the "good food" was up on the buffet. A concern of mine was all of the meat was stored in a communal freezer and you used the same pair of tongs to touch all of them (beef, chicken, pork) and that is cross contamination big time. We sat down and ordered our broth, which took like 30 minutes to arrive, meaning we got all of our add-ins and then couldn't eat because we didn't have our broth to cook in. A lot of the pieces of meat had blood clots visible, which means low quality. And the restaurant got soo busy there were people basically standing over me while eating. The service was also not there- I was begging for a drink refill, not to mention the time it took to even get started on eating. Not to mention it was not a cheap meal- it cost us $66 for 2 people. How can you not like this place. All you can eat kbbq and hot pot! What else is there to say. I've been here several times. Been here with friends, coworkers, and on dates. Shabu Shabu is always a great time with great service. Sometimes they do have a wait for you to be seated, but that should be expected when the demand is so high. There is a variety of food that you will never leave hungry. When getting the hot pot some of the broths can be underwhelming but once you find your perfect match you'll be leaving no broth behind. Ok, so if you don't know basically at this restaurant you have a grill at your table and each person has like a pot built in to the table to cook your food. You first will choose what type of "soup" or liquid will be the base of your pot and then you can go get food which is uncooked or just needs to be heated to either grill or cook in your soup. I would DEFINITELY suggest wearing a shirt or even apron that you don't care about as you very likely will get something on you and it can be avoided. What a concept here at Shabu Shabu! All you can eat Korean BBQ and Hot Pot for $32!! They lay out their hot pot ingredients and Kbbq ingredients out like a buffet. Pros - you don't need to wait for a server to order and bring you the ingredients, you get up when you want more food, and you don't need to order in huge portions. Cons - Since all the food is just laying out and tongs are used all over, contamination (if you have allergies) and it might not be the most sanitary. However, I must say that the ingredients and meat were really fresh. On the conveyor belts, which is another cool concept, are noodles and vegetables for your hot pot. I loved that I could easily grab it from the belt. Both hot pot and Korean bbq were delicious! So many options for ingredients, which I appreciated. For the hot pot, you get to chose your broth. I did Tonkotsu which is the pork flavored soup, very flavorful. The Korean bbq meats were nicely marinated and cooked well on the bbq hot plate. We'd spied Shabu Shabu the day we arrived. It was literally just a 5 minute walk from our hotel and we joked about eventually having to eat there. Well, after a couple days in Nashville, I was really craving Asian food. Everything we've had up until then seemed so rich and heavy so husband called and audible and had our Uber drop us off here on our way back from a tour. Shabu Shabu offers both bbq and hot pot (or both) but we went with hot pot only. Considering the locale, we were very satisfied with the quality of the food. We were seated at the bar and if I had to guess, this place used to be a rotary sushi restaurant. It's now being used to convey single serving veggies or noodles for your hot pot. But for the other half of the food and sauces, they had a buffet area you can serve yourself at. Not gonna lie - this hit the spot on such a visceral level that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (I love hot pot) and didn't want to do anything else that evening but walk back to our hotel room where I can lay down and rub my belly. Service was great with people constantly clearing off our table. Overall they seemed shy (probably because we were the only Asian patrons???). Anyway, yummy meal. Highly recommend if you are like me and can't go more than two days without Asian food. read more

Came here with somewhat high expectations because of positive reviews. Took the service 20 minutes to get our broths out. The space was really cramped and you sit close to other customers. The conveyor belt virtually had no good sides or options to choose from, maybe like 2-3 options. You have to get up to pick up most of the good sides and meat. There was a big party waiting , restaurant allowed them to sit next to the table with all the utensils, napkins, water and such ( unacceptable). One important note, they only had one tong for all 3 meats which potentially causes cross contamination. I would stay away from this restaurant until they fix this. read more

I recommend you come here during lunchtime on the weekends as the options are fresh and refilled often. I was here in October 2023 for just the hotpot ayce and the price for each hotpot was 26.99. Come hungry and leave full. It's conveyor belt style for half of it. I took off a star due to the sauce line being that the area was small and tight to navigate and pretty much only allowed 2 people at a time to create your sauces and toppings. That area just did not have a good flow to it. The Szechuan spicy broth was delicious and tom yum was just okay. I enjoyed the roasted rice tea.
