Went here after the gym feeling famished and it was one of the poorer decisions ive made. I've never ate at a vegetarian place so i cannot base my comparison to other vegetarian or gluten free restaurants, but this place was okay. I ordered a chilli cheese fries and marinated portabello burger. The portions they give are average, but at that price i would expect some better food. I was really looking forward to trying this place. However, I have to say I was rather disappointed by the food. I ordered the portobello burger with fries. I found that the burger didn't have a lot of ingredients and consisted mostly of dry bread. Not very juicy. The food also lacked in flavour in my opinion and was limit tasteless. It was a normal gloomy rainy Tuesday night for most, but an unforgettable birthday for my mother-in-law, thanks to the hospitality of the Meet on Main staff. We have always taken my mom-in-law to vegetarian restaurants for her birthdays because she has been strictly vegetarian for decades. This year, we wanted to try something new. We tried calling ahead of time to make a reservation, but they wouldn't take any, so we arrived to the restaurant and prepared to wait. But not in this way. About 5-10 mins after taking our names down, while we were quietly waiting inside the restaurant, the hostess came to us and demanded that we should wait OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT. Our party includes an 85 year old and a very pregnant me and therefore my husband asked if the rest of the party can wait outside while the old and the preggo can stay inside away from the rain. The reply was a rude "No". Needless to say, we are forced to go elsewhere. Grandma's insulin injection is kicking in. I used to think that people became vegetarians for 2 main reasons: 1) they believe that it is healthier or 2) they are too kind to slaughter animals. What kind of people would ask an 85 year old and a pregnant woman to wait outside in the rain? Being a vegetarian is a choice, it is a lifestyle, it is a promise to be healthy, caring and kind, to oneself, to Earth, to humanity. I expect the believes of a vegetarian restaurant to be the same. We liked the menu in the window so stepped in and took a table. Then uh oh, Vegan! We decided to stay anyway, based on our feel of the place and how popular it seemed to be. Good decision. We shared their Blue Burger; a veggie pattie with trimmings including onion rings and a big slab of blue cheese and great fries and a yummy salad on the side. Amazing tastes and the pattie had the texture and flavour of seasoned ground beef. We were both full and happy at the finish. This is one of THE BEST vegan restaurants in Vancouver. I'm not even vegan and I still would pick this over many other restaurants. Their cauliflower appetizer is insanely good- you can't even taste the cauliflower. I always get the mac and cheese because I'm lactose intolerant and this tastes just like regular mac and cheese but better!! It's so creamy and there's just a hint of a nutty flavor. Sometimes I'll get the mac and cheese and butter chicken together and it's amazing! The two dishes really compliment each other and although with the butter chicken you don't get that chicken taste exactly, it's still very good. I love the ambience of the restaurant and the service is always impeccable. I go with my friends about every 2 weeks and we haven't gotten tired of it yet! read more

I thought everything I tried was very flavourful. It's definitely rich plant based food. If you want comfort food, this place can deliver it. We started with fries with a side of cashew gravy and the sweet Chili cauliflower bites. They were delicious. I had the butter chiken (my friends got the ginger beefless bowl, Seoul bowl and a burger). I loved my dish and the people who got bowls enjoyed their meals. While I'm a dedicated carnivore, walking past and seeing what the folks in the window were eating made me want to stop. It was Saturday night, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. The service was good - friendly and attentive. And most importantly, the food was fantastic. We shared the sweet chilli cauliflower which was well-cooked (tender but not mushy) with a very flavourful sauce. Then we shared 2 burgers - The angry burger and the mac & cheese burger. My only complaint was that it made me want a whole order of the mac & cheese, which was really quite remarkable given that it's all veg. When we arrived the place was packed. The hostess was super chill and kept everyone informed about the waiting times. Even though it was very busy we didn't have to wait for too long. The food was delicious. I am not a vegetarian or vegan and I loved the burger. I had the ginger shrub beer that was delicious too. For dessert I had the cheezcake with raspberry coulis and wow, it was amazing. Great service too. The only complain will be that the music was way too loud. Came here for a Thursday night dinner with my parents around 8:15pm and were seated within a few minutes. However, we waited over 45 minutes for our food to come out, even though the place was clearing out at that point. We were a little hangry by the time our food came, but the food was delicious. The fries are deliciously crispy, and the burgers were quite good. I had the chikn schnitzel special which was quite delicious, served with garlicky kale and broccoli. Our server was very nice, and apologized profusely for the wait, and even gave us free dessert! However, the place was almost empty by then and our dessert, again, took forever to come out, which was disappointing. The place was also very loud inside, so it was hard to hear each other talk. Let me start by saying I am a carnivore and I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this establishment. Spinach and artichoke dip to start. And I had a beyond meat double bacon burger. Veggie burger had the same consistency as a beef burger and it tasted good. Not sure what the bacon was made from but it was good. This was my first vegetarian experience and I was impressed. Their fries may be pricey with their original prices but the amount they give you is well worth it every single time I come. The happy hour price of $5 for their groovy gravy fries makes everything taste even better. I was surprised at how good the gravy tasted despite it being cashew gravy .... in fact, I wish all my gravy was cashew gravy from now on! My noodle-y thai was nothing to boast about... it just felt like a large bowl of pad-thai minus the authenticity and the correct sauce for it. What is the literal hype about this place? Music is so loud and food is mediocre at best. First, we waited for 45 minutes for our food and the waitress only gave us our water twenty minutes after sitting down. We were only introduced to our waitress when I put up my hand to order. I'm shaking my head real hard for this one. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity for our food, it wasn't even that good. My friend had the mac and cheese and said that it was way too salty and left a strange aftertaste. It was around $13 and not worth for something that probably took them less than a few dollars to make. At least include a small salad.and then came my burger, the main one. The patty was crumbling and the seasoning tasted strange like cheap instant noodles. There was no coherent taste to the burger and honestly, the beyond burger at A&W tastes better. I will give them some points for the fries which tasted quite nice, not too salty and airy. Accompanied by the mayo sauce, it tasted quite nice. The salad that came on the side though....too acidic and was merely a few pieces of veggies with vinegar. The portion was big however but I didn't finish, it was simply too bad other than the fries. We were told that the sweet-chili cauliflower and the hot chiggin' things were must-tries so we ordered both as well as the mountain burger. When the cauliflower and the chiggin' things came, both were overly sauced and WAY too salty. I'm practically a cactus and I drank almost my entire glass (sorry mason jar) of water. The fried cauliflower I think would've been really tasty on its own with maybe a bit of sauce but seriously these things were drowning. Maybe if they didn't pour half a cup of sauce on the dish they wouldn't have to charge nearly $10 for 6 bites of cauliflower. The mountain burger on the other hand was quite yummy and frankly of all the things we ordered its probably the only thing I would come back for. The burger didn't make me miss meat at all and if I wasn't paying attention I wouldn't have even noticed that it was a veggie burg. We really wanted to upgrade our fries and try something on their french fries menu but didn't think we could manage to eat an entire order so we asked if we could add some toppings to the fries that came with the burger (expecting that we'd be charged a nominal amount for it) but apparently they're not able to do that and we'd have to order an full order of their fries (at over $7 per order might I add...) in order to try some of their cool flavors. We'd probably have paid $3 to get some measly chopped garlic on our fries but apparently that's not possible which I was pretty bummed about. Overall the experience was mediocre and we didn't really find that it was anything out of the ordinary nor are we really itching to go back. read more

I've been here twice and both times had an amazing experience! I am someone who tries to be sustainable and conscious with my food choices and MeeT definitely hits that mark! I've tried one of their bowls, The Lovely, and their Meet Burger. The Lovely was generous in terms of portion size and while it was very tasty, the combination of flavours didn't quite do it for me. However, the Meet Burger... is amazing! The patty has a really nice texture and flavour and has just the right amount of moisture. Their burgers come with a side of salad AND fries, both of which are tasty and complement the burger nicely. Both dishes were super filling for me and my boyfriend, who enjoys eating meat, loves this place! Last but not least I have to mention that the service here is impeccable! Everyone seems so friendly and cheerful but I have to give a special shoutout to the lady who served my table both times I've eaten here - Pauline! She is the best, so attentive, bubbly and talkative. Even when the place was on the busier side, she was on top of it and was always smiling. It's hard working as a server but she makes it look easy and gives off such a great vibe. Love this place and would recommend it to both vegan and non vegans alike! read more

This was my first vegan restaurant even though I don't eat much meat in the first place. I checked out the menu beforehand and it all sounded too healthy... lol. Based on a friend's recommendation, I ordered The Macro. I didn't know what to expect and to be honest I didn't think I was going to like my dish. I like my pasta and noodles. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked everything and enjoyed every bite. However, I thought there was too much broccoli (not a fan) and would have preferred more mushrooms and bean sprouts. But that's just my personal preference. The cashew gravy was on the thick and on the saltier side. I would probably order it again. I love root beer so I ordered the Phillips Craft Root Beer. I found it lacking and wasn't worth the $4.50. All in all, a great place to go and the servers (at least the ones I observed) were friendly and seemed happy to be there. read more

All-around, it's very good vegan comfort food, and a great place to go eat if you want to show non-vegans you don't just eat raw vegetables.
