I crave the team poutine all the time, my non vegan friends can confirm that it tastes just as good. :) The burgers they have here are really good as well! I tried the Mac and cheese once but it could use some improvement, it was very consistent in texture and taste, much like boxed Mac and cheese. Ordered takeout for lunch from here last summer. I love how this place is vegan and gluten free but the taste beats the meat-containing counterparts. Ordered the butter chikkin, which has a descent portion size sufficient for one person for $12.25 (now $13.75). The quality though, cannot be beat. The lunch comes packed in a paper container, and the super friendly staff even served us water as we waited for our take out. When we arrived the place was very crowded but my girlfriend and I were still seated almost immediately. Our waiter Julien was very friendly and helped us decide on what we wanted AND helped us save money. He gave us recommendations on what to do in the area too and all his suggestions were great! The Whiskey BBQ Things were the highlight of our food that night. We went back the next night to get more of them, and tried the Chili and Sweet Chili Cauliflower, which were both amazing as well. The vibe of the restaurant is cozy and intimate, definitely modern, and lively. The cheeses we tried were disappointing, but neither me or my partner are fans of vegan cheeses. Also, be warned that the double double burger is EXTREMELY coconut-y. Overall, a great restaurant with a great vibe, great food, great drinks and great people! read more

We were walking on Main looking for a decent place to go eat, and we stumbled upon Meet. The place was just so lively and accommodating, right from the door they ask for your phone number so that they can just text you when your table is ready! As we sat down, the waiter came right away and I can honestly say that he was one of the best waiters I've ever had! He was super friendly, and very enthusiastic with every single customer. And it being our first time, he made it seem like we've been going there for years! And the food was just another level... I'm not a vegan, but this restaurant seriously made me reconsider. My friend and I ended up here when we tried to get into the Cottage Bistro for a Flame event that had packed people to the wall and we couldn't find a spot. We found Meet on Main and decided to try it since it wasn't too far from our place and we wanted to walk home after dinner. We were seated promptly and my friend had to point out that she found both of the male servers cute so naturally I tried to do some matchmaking and ended up embarrassing the both of us. More on that later. We got our menus and water and the server explained the special to us which sounded like a hot dog covered in deep fried jalapenos. The place is called Meet on Main so I thought we were going to be eating meat. SO clueless. I ordered chili cheez fries and had no idea that the chili was made with veggie ground round. My friend ordered a quinoa meat bowl and both of the dishes were delicious, we swapped for a few bites. I should have been tipped off that this place is veggie when most items on the menu have cashew gravy served with them. It is amazing by the way and tastes like real gravy. We got our food literally 10 minutes after we placed our order, it was the fastest I have ever been served at a sit down restaurant. Our server checked on us once or twice and he noticed when I hadn't been picking at my fries anymore and brought a box over and then brought our receipts. We were in and out of that place in probably 35 minutes because they were filling up really fast and a line was forming outside the door so I felt a little rushed but it was late enough on a weekday that I was okay with getting home sooner than I had planned to. While we were paying our bills (brought by a server different from our original guy) my friend was sad that we were leaving cute server behind so I said, "Don't worry we'll come back and you'll see him again!" right as he walked by behind me. He heard me..... My friend turned bright red and I apologized profusely as he came up to our table with the biggest smile, put his hands on the table and said, "Have a great night!" I love this place!!!! Best place ever! Great service with well informed staff, they are very friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing. as a newly plant based person, I was getting bored with the plant based options I could eat until I found Main with so many fun foods. Their burgers are really good and not oily at all. Comes with a huge serving of fries and salad. The noodly Thai is great too. This is THE best vegan restaurant! The TeeM Poutine was amazing (cashew miso gravy was delicious and really didn't taste anything like cashew or miso but mmmm) and my meat-loving family left the restaurant super satisfied & happy. The only thing they were sad about were the side salad that typically accompany the burgers -- which we didn't realize get replaced when you upgrade to poutine from regular fries. So they had a HUGE portion of poutine when they wanted an upgraded fries WITH the salad. But that's pretty minor. The service was amazing and they were really nice to my boy. Thanks guys! read more

This is such a delicious find!! Great food, and all comfort foods - burgers, fries, wings, salads, great sides - they have great drinks on tap, awesome ambiance showing local artists work on rotation. I tried the buffalo wings with Cesar/ranch salad and they were delicious! The burgers are so dirty too, I've had them on several locations and the sizes are huge, so filling! Get the Angry burger! Also the chili is really good! This spot has become a regular place to go to because it doesn't disappoint! Soooo many options, you'll have to go back I've been to MeeT on Main three or four times for lunch. The atmosphere is unpretentious, servers included. Improvements have happened, likely due to the popularity of this awesome vegetarian restaurant. It's busy in here at lunch! They used to have chairs that felt like they were gathered from a 1970's gymnasium, but last time I was there, they had better chairs (though I'm not sure if it was just at the table I was at, or throughout). This is a great place to go with a few friends and share a few dishes, so you enjoy several dishes. Portions are on the large side; prices are reasonable. Their spinach dip is to die for. Visiting from Seattle and wanted to check out this vegan spot because of the great reviews! I myself am not vegan but my best friends I came with are vegan & vegetarian. We came on a Thursday night around 8:30 and were seated right away despite a busy restaurant. We ordered the vegan Mac n cheese w/ vegan sausage, sweet chili cauliflower, satay sauce and spicy mayo fries and artichoke/spinach dip all to share. Mac n cheese was the best vegan Mac n cheese my vegan friend had tried! Cauliflower and artichoke/spinach dip were awesome! Satay sauce fries were just ok. They were way sweeter than we thought they would be and were kind of missing that savory element! We also each got drinks. I got the rosemary lemon drink with gin and it was not that great. Service was fine, everyone there was nice but not the most attentive service! We had to ask for water and napkins. Purely would go back again just for the amazing food though! LOVE. We live nearby and come here often. I'm not a vegan but I am allergic to dairy, and it's nice to know I won't get poisoned here. And the food hits the spot every time. The poutine is a go-to staple, and their burgers are also phenomenal (splurge on the patty upgrade... it's SO GOOD). The noodle bowl is also tasty, as is the mac n cheese. Honestly, I haven't had anything bad here. Only downside is that everyone else seems to concur, so Meet is almost always busy. The service is sometimes a bit sluggish/inattentive as a result. I was excited to go to Meet on Main to try Beyond Meat burger for the first time and I was unfortunately disappointed. The burger was mediocre at best and the price for it was not justified at all. Unfortunately majority of items on the menu were overprices, but this is the sad reality of fully vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Vancouver. Another disappointing thing about this restaurant was drink glasses. You want to pay good money for a beer or a drink? Sure, here is your drink in a water glasses. I know this may sound small and irrelevant, but if i am paying money for a drink I expect higher level of presentation and care. The only reason i am giving this place 3 stars instead of 2 is the service. Service at Meet on Main was great, servers were super nice and offered to refund my friend's burger (not beyond meat) that tasted like cardboard. read more

The macaroni and cheese with tofu sausage was legit!!! It was seriously the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had - vegan or not. My partner also enjoyed the macaroni but I was greedy and hoarded it to myself. He had the meet burger and was already talking about future dining here. Service was friendly and very speedy. Went there last Saturday for dinner. There was a lineup for table but we grabbed some drinks at the bar and since we were just two we weren't waiting too long. Once we were seated we had the sweet chili cauliflower to start (soooo good) and my boyfriend and I both had different veggie burgers for mains. He had the mountain burger I think, the one with chili on it, and I had the angry burger. It was actually the best veggie burger I've ever had. Boyfriend loved his as well. I had such high hopes for this place because my gf has been raving about it for 2 weeks because her friends really loved the food. We were seated fairly quickly despite the place being packed. We ordered an appy and a main. The sweet chili caulis were pretty good, although my gf and i thought was a bit over dressed. It came pretty fast within 5 mins of ordering. Afterwards, our main didn't come until 40 minutes after. Heck the couple beside us ordered almost the same time as us and they paid for their bill and were out and we still didn't get our order. When we got it, it was quite mediocre. I had the meet burger and my gf had the mac n cheese burger. To top it off, the server Irma never once smiled at us and seemed very discriminatory - she was making small talk with the other customers but didn't even stop to look at us when we asked to check our order, just rushed on by. My wife and I walked out after rude server experience last night and don't plan to return. Had been highly recommended by some friends who live in the hood. We were seated a few minutes before Happy Hour ended, then sat and waited. I asked for the Lager on Happy Hour and was immediately vibed by the server, who said "I'm sorry my friend but Happy Hour is over." IT WAS 5:03 p.m.! Then after a brief shocked pause on my part she added, begrudgingly, "I'll do the first one on Happy Hour, but not the next."...then stormed away. The place was packed with a small lineup outside of restaurant around 2Pm. We were told it would be a 10 min wait by a friendly waitress. Once seated at a very small table, we ordered main burger for me and the meet burger for my boyfriend. It's a long wait in a very noisy environment, where we had to yelled at each other and still could hardly hear one another. Food finally arrived. The portion was big. Both burgers were served with a little bowl of green salad and a decent amount of yam fries. The burger looks like a regular beef burger, only the "beef" was some kind of bean and bean product that was cooked with various spices to make it tastier. The bread was really dry. You can easily find fresher and tastier bread at save on foods. My boyfriend, usually hates to waste food, left all the bread untouched after one bite of it. The Green salad was fine for the slices of carrot on top, but really sour and salty at the bottom with the salad dressing, pure vinegar? The only acceptable food was yam fries. Well, at least it's the same quality just like all the other restaurants, not healthy at all, but eatable. Among the food that we got, this average yam fries was almost delicious compared with the bread and salad. The bill for this lunch was $25 plus tax and tips. As a long time vegan, it is hard to find a place that not only has so many options for entrees but also has so so many options for dessert. Sometimes I feel like coming there just for the vegan cheesecake which is the best cheesecake I have ever had (including none vegan ones). The burgers are amazing and filling, the fries have just the right crunchiness. I also love the way the atmosphere in the restaurant; beautiful artwork and lighting. Just go there, right now!
