I got the main burger, and it really didn't meet my expectations... I mean, why make a veggie burger that imitates meat??? I guess it's just personal preference, but I would much rather have a soft patty that bursts with veggie flavours. The fries were good, but fries can't usually be bad anyways... I came here tonight on a Friday night. They have a new wait list system where they text you if your table is ready. It was their first night trying it out. If you read the signs properly on the entrance door inside "due to fire hazard no more than 4 people should wait inside the doorway". I noticed more than 4 people waiting either didn't see the sign or just ignored it. It was also a rainy night and all the benches outside were soaked. We ordered the mac and cheese burger substitute for chilli fries with an additional $4.50. The other Meet Burger we subbed for nacho fries with the same additional price. My S.O. who is not vegan said the chilli fries were so good... He didn't get to eat the mac and cheese burger because he was so full! We packed it to go!. Both meals were superb! The man who took our order was very patient as I don't like to eat soy due to health reasons. He came back with a list of items that contained soy just to make sure. I really appreciated he did that. They were super busy on a Friday night. Yes I would go back again and yes I would recommend it to any friend! Its a pretty hipster place played 80's music and had Top Gun showing at the time on a little retro tv last night. I can bring my child here next time, but not on a Friday night. Oh if you don't like salt just ask them not to add extra salt on the fries. We did and it turned out puuuurfect!!! Yum!!! Consistent food, but do you have to beg for service? Every time I come here the server will literally not greet, ask of your beverage preferences or anything else that would vaguely suggest that my presence as a customer is recognized. It's always had to be a "are you my server" situation at about the 10-15 minute mark. read more

Went with my husband and a friend who lives in Whistler, but has to go to Meet when she's in town. We had been meaning to go for a while but just never had made the trip! We have been missing out! It was amazing!!!! We ordered a bunch of items and shared them all. The cauliflower and hot wings appies were my favorite! But the best part was probably our service though. Our server was super nice and attentive. She staggered all out items so we got to enjoy one at a time. And she even overheard my husband saying he doesn't really like buffalo hot sauce, but wanted to try it anyway, so she had those come last so he didn't have to wait hungry if he didn't like them. Such a great idea! Sadly that type of service can be rare. Everyone that worked there was very very friendly. Don't make our mistake and sleep on this place!!! Go now! read more

This is, quite simply, the best restaurant on the planet. As a life-long vegetarian, this place just feels like home. I can eat ANYTHING on the menu! I have never had that experience before. And the plus is that the food is fantastic. The fries are amazing - crispy, salty goodness. My fave dish is the Meet burger, but the Mac and Cheese is also really good. And you have to try their vegan queso. It must be laced with some illegal substance b/c it is the most addictive food ever! To top it all off, have the cheezcake. I went in not knowing what to expect, and the all-vegan menu had a few different sounding ingredients, like a cashew gravy, "rawmesan", and coconut bacon. We ordered Groovy Gravy fries, Kale and Romaine Caesar, and the Quinoa and Yam salad - crazy delicious!!! First time here came here with friends who love the place. Brought my meatarian boyfriend and to much delight he actually enjoyed it. The atmosphere was nice, hipster or whatever you want to call it. Our waitress was awesome. Our friends picked an assortment of stuff for us to try it was all awesome. The organic steamed kale is to die for. Definitely make sure that you try that when you are there. The corn fritters were great, crispy and the mayo dip compliments it greatly. The sweet chili cauliflower is AMAZING, they are addictive. Our friends had the NOT-CHO avergae nacho fries which also were great. I ended with the Portobello Burger which was so good. I definitely rolled out of there that night, was so full of great food. The tables are all very close together. Too close. Hard to get a stroller in. Not really very accommodating in the baby department. Needs to be a bigger venue because it is so busy. Loved, loved this place! The atmosphere was bustling and quaint at the same time with a hip vibe that was not pretentious in any way. Service was friendly and quick though our server was a little forgetful with some of our requests. Food made up for it though. I had the mucho gusto burger and it was the best bean burger of my life. Went here last night for the first time after many recommendations. I ordered the Lovely bowl it was delicious, the sauce was seriously tasty. My partner ordered the Angry Burg and again it was really good & it came with a big serving of fries and salad too. We shared some chocolate hazelnut fudge ice cream for desert, this was my first time trying vegan ice cream and it was amazing. The service was great and it was not too busy. My only criticism would be that the Lovely bowl could have done with a bit more crunch and the tables were a tad too close together, would it keep me away? - not a hope I will definitely be returning. read more

We came over from Victoria and when we asked around for a good veggie restaurant were directed to "meet". We were greeted by a very friendly Sergio who made us feel at home right away and then the super knowledgable and friendly Christine met with us and made some recommendations. Wow, we followed her recommended choices and were blown away. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere (due a lot to Sergio and Christine) was warm and laid back and we would recommend this to anyone who likes good food and especially, good vegan food. This is now our favorite Van. go to restaurant. Wish all the places we ate at had people like Christine and Sergio as they don't just work there but feel an intimacy with the restaurant and food that make it seem like they are the owners and are proud of what they serve and where they are. LOVE this place! Went here to have lunch with someone I met on BumbleBFF, and it was perfect. We bonded over being vegan foodies, so Meet was the obvious choice. They always have cool local art hanging on the walls so you never run out of things to talk about and the food is amazing. If you like a bit of spice, get the "Angry Burg", it's seriously heavenly. Food was decent, but not great, and service was abysmal! I had a Caesar salad with the hot sauce chiggin on top, which was ok but the Caesar at Acorn is WAY better (or the one I make at home from the reFresh cookbook). The chiggin was pretty hot-saucy and vinegary, which might be ok if we ever had someone fill up our water or offer a drink re-fill but service was like tumbleweed in that place. I eventually got up and got water for us, while a server who was just hanging out watched me pour our own water and didn't even ask if we needed anything. It took a long time to have plates cleared, no one asked if we wanted more drinks, or dessert, and it felt like a monumental effort to just pay our bill. I've been vegetarian for a very long time and I'm excited there are more places to eat now with variety, but this was a disappointment. read more

Excellent atmosphere and staff are super friendly. The drink menu is new and exciting. I had the Pear and Vanilla cocktail which blew my mind! I like sweet drinks and it satisfied my sweet tooth. I ate the portabella burger, fries and salad and loved it! Very tasty with a gluten free bun. The bun was a little hard because they toasted it, but as a GL eater, I would much rather toasty then mushy.
