Mega Texas BBQ is hands down the best in town and no matter how many times we've come back, it never disappoints. My friends and I came here today and had the best lunch together. We shared all the different cuts of meat and loved every bit of it. One of my favorite things is how the owner comes table to table and makes sure everyone is happy with their food every time we are here. Very humble and a class act with pride in his food and the service they provide. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and the vibes here are the best. It's easy to see why they sell out daily. My family and friends will come here for many years to come and I highly recommend Mega Texas BBQ to everyone I know.

The food makes the terrible parking worth it! Love the decor inside like an old school diner vibe. Clean and organized so it's easy to get your food and utensils. I had the two meat combo with brisket and ribs, sides I chose the potato salad, rice pilaf and beans. Not one item disappointed. I'm not a huge BBQ fan, nor do I like potato salad, but I am a fan of Mega Texas BBQ. Staff was also super nice and helpful!

The food itself hit the right notes--fresh, well-prepared, and genuinely tasty. Grabbing it via mobile order was a breeze, saving time and keeping the whole process frictionless from start to finish. The major misstep comes down to basic value for money. Shelling out $36 for a plate left me with portions so sparse that even the staff member working the counter had to double-check with a colleague to make sure nothing was missing. When the person handing me the bag she was visibly shocked by how little food is on the tray, it is a glaring red flag for portion control. Paying upscale prices should never leave you questioning if you need to swing by somewhere else for a second lunch.

$50 mega plate special. I ate this.... And today I became a man.

It's still amazing! It's still the best bbq in Fresno. It's still worth the wait and if you don't want to wait, it's worth getting there as close to opening (10:30am) as possible! Why haven't you gone yet?! Go!

I came on a Saturday at 1pm, although the line was pretty long (30 minute wait) it was well worth! I love coming here to try their new menu items but my go to is the Texas bowl. The workers are friendly and they usually clean up the tables quickly so new customers can sit at a clean table. Although it can get loud when it's crowded, you can still hear the country music in the background. Will keep coming back!

Came in on a Sunday at 2 (about 30 mins to closing) and we were so lucky they weren't completely sold out ! Ordered a two meat platter of brisket and chile verde ribs with a side of potato salad chili beans with brisket. While chile verde ribs weren't my first choice it was surprisingly really good and tender. Brisket was amazing, fall apart and full of flavor. The barbecue sauce on the side was just an added touch but honestly it's so seasoned you don't really need much. The sides were both delicious! What really stood out here besides the amazing food is the amazing staff! The owner Anthony went around and chatted with everyone like we were all friends and family. His aunt brought us honey cornbread on the house just to try which was so thoughtful ! Anthony's wife at the counter was so nice and helpful because we knew we came at closing time yet she still got us two full plates of what was available. Now helpful tip: you gotta come early ! Everything sells out fast !!!!! There are literally lines to the parking lot before they even open! Everything is so damn good people are willing to line up at 10am. Barbecue for breakfast type good! I will back soon and plan to load up on the Texas twinkies I see all over tik tok

Five star update. I can't say enough how the brisket compares to other brisket served us over the past few years. Well. There is no comparison. It's just a plain fact that Mega Texas does brisket right! 5 stars plus! Ribs were wonderful today as well. Everything else held top notch places to make the meal we ate inside memorable and the extras we took home hard to wait for. If you have not yet experienced Mega Texas BBQ in Fresno, you have definitely been missing out. It's time to go. Happy helpers inside make the experience a definite plus.

I'm a fan. This is a legit bbq spot and has a following. The lines long and I hear things run out daily so if your into lunch get here early enough to get stuff. It took me 43 min from parking to plate so that's the line and the order and wait for food. Dining room is clean and they are tending doors to keep weather and bugs put as well as making sure tables are wiped. It's busy and everyone wants a plate so it's kinda like the same as i would see at Lockhart in Plano or 1050 at Richardson or pecan lodge in deep Ellium. It's relative to Texas with a few twists. Food is fresh and absolutely plentiful. I was really surprised at the quantity, most bbq places in Cali like this are really stingy and charge a lot and give a little. This place gives you excellent portions. Now to the flavor... i had a 2 item plate with ribs and brisket, it had Mac and cheese and beans for sides. Ribs are on point. Rub is sweet with savory taste and not spicy. It is an excellent blend for pork and the color is a deep red with a healthy smoke ring. Tenderness is a very light pull and the meat stays shape so it's not a fall off bone ruined but just before. I would say the tenderness is something in competition level. Very well done. They are juicy since not overcooked. The tips are left on so it's not at Louis cut. This is a plus if you want more rib meat i guess! Brisket was super thick cuts and so much meat! Smoke ring really deep and most was very juicy and pull apart but some of it was a little lean. It just depends on the cut really for that but it was as good as a brisket could be done. I'm convinced their tiki g and heat strategy is tuned up well for feeding the masses. Flavor was great with the brisket. If i rated brisket against the ribs though i would probably take the ribs. Mac and cheese was decent but it was advertised as green chili Mac and cheese. I didn't see or taste any green chile in it at all. It was good but too basic for me. In Texas they have some Mac and cheese that explodes with flavor, this was subtle and creamy and good but not something I'm writing home about. Beans... the beans are not bbq beans, they are a hybrid that leans i to Mexican flavors and they top them with cheddar cheese. They have brisket in them as well. I absolutely loved them. They are not sweet though. If you want traditional bbq baked beans this is not it. This is some style that is Smokey and baked but certainly Mexican style. I won't come here without getting them. They would lose a bbq competition but they win my heart. Notables are the potato salad. This was cold and some dill flavor very decent but not epic. Good flavor to taste in between meats. One Hawaiian roll is given to the meal and the pickled vegetables. The pickled onions are awesome. I loved those. I tried a daily special of a few ribs that were chile verde basted but those sucked. They were essentially boiled ribs and the green sauce flavor was non existent. They tasted like a boiled experiment gone bad. I won't hold it against them though because it looked like some test they were doing for 4 bucks and i just said let's try it... that meat would slap in a burrito though.... I'm coming back for sure.

These guys made the mistake of pumping thier smoker fumes out into the road! We had to make an emergency U-Turn becase of it. (ha). We we're not even thinking about lunch then but the smell changed our mind. The host we're gracious and very helpful introducing us to the process. Then when you get to the preparation area. All the meats are on display so you don't even need to guess. The bowls let you try three different sides and not in healpings that you need to take home. Didn't get to try the cornbread as it was sold out but if it's up to par with thier other item, I am sure I'll be impressed. Coming back again even though it's 1/2 hour from home.

Food was spectacular! Portions are huge and flavor out of this world! Service was fast and friendly. Food came out in less than 10 min.

So many different bowls to choose from but this was my choice.

I have been wanting to go try this place. It's been on my list. Unfortunately, it's either closed by the time I'm off work or food runs out. That might be a sign. We hD a lunch at work and ordered to go from here. I have to say, worth the wait for sure. 100% ready to go back. I got one of their bowls, which had a bit of everything, since it was my first time. Also, loved their banana pudding. 10 out of 10. I'm ready to go back.

    Arrived!! Outside seating too!!

1/16/26 Sounding good for a change! Getting lunch! Tried calling. No answer! Thankfully, they texted that they are open and to come on in. Awesome!! New location from last time. Arrived! Very busy. Waited in line. Music playing. Ordered the chicken sandwich and 1 Brisket meat plate with potato salad and beans. The worker was kind. Chatted about how much better it is here compared to when they were at Arco. Paid for the order and went to the bbq station to get spicy & sweet bbq sauce. Then waited for order to be called....not so long a wait, name called and received with enjoy wishes leaving! Appreciated and GREAT new location! Lunchtime! Order split!! Chicken sandwich 1/2 is Great! Tasty, tender chicken & I added their spicy bbq sauce to make it even better!! Brisket is DELICIOUS!! Tender with the GREAT bbq flavor! Potato salad Flavorful & Great! Mac n cheese is Fantastic! Cheesy GREATNESS! Chili beans are GREAT too! Lots of Flavor! Fresh, tasty roll to top it off! I definitely had a little hit of leftovers too! Mother said her portion was Really GREAT!! Great service & GREAT bbq lunch! Highly recommended!!

MEGA Texas BBQ not only lives up to the hype but surpasses it and is a must try for all BBQ fans! We went on a Wednesday around 11am and line was already to the door though moved along efficiently. I ordered the KC bowl while my husband and daughter ordered the Texas bowl and my son ordered the two meat combo. Everything we tasted was juicy BBQ perfection and the sides were a 10/10. I especially loved their potato salad! We also tried the Texas Twinkie and WOW! For those unfamiliar with a Texas Twinkie , it is a bacon wrapped jalapeño, stuffed with cream cheese and brisket. Jalapeño was a mild spice level. There was plenty of seating indoors with additional umbrella seating outdoors. Service was very friendly and efficient, with careful attention to detail such as making sure sauce jars were filled and tables were quickly cleaned. The lady at the register was unfazed by the busyness and treated each costumer with kindness and like they were the only one in line. Do your tastebuds a favor and let them learn firsthand why MEGA Texas has won multiple awards!

I ordered the **BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger**, and while the presentation wasn't the most impressive, it does come with an onion ring, which is a nice touch. It's not my favorite burger on the menu, but it's still very good. I'd give it an **8/10**. The **Monster Burger** is where it's at, though! This is easily a **9/10** and one of those burgers you really can't go wrong with. The portion size, quality, and price are all excellent, and I especially love that it comes with two different types of cheese. Definitely one of the best options here. We also ordered the **Southwestern Salad**, which was really good. I would recommend asking for extra dressing because it could definitely use a little more. Overall, I'd give the salad an **8/10**. The **fries are always a 10/10**. The side portion is huge and easily enough to share, which makes it an even better value. The drinks are good as well. The **service is always top-notch**. They treat you like family, and the food comes out quickly. I also like that the restaurant has both a traditional service side, where tipping is optional, and a self-service side where you find your own table and pick up your food, so tipping isn't necessary. The **ambiance is one of the best things about this place**. If you're a sports fan, you'll love it. There's tons of sports memorabilia throughout the restaurant and plenty of TVs showing different games. It's a great place to hang out, grab some food, and watch sports. Being right across the street from Fresno State is also a huge plus. The only real downside is the **parking**. They definitely need to find a way to increase the amount of parking because it can be difficult to find a spot. What likely happened was they saved the overcooked meat till the end of the day (we went 20 minutes before closing) and we were the schmucks that got it. What really pissed me off though is that the manager had veins popping out of his neck. The way he was talking to my elderly mother was inappropriate. Thankfully he cooled down when I walked up to the conversation. All she wanted was to replace our 4 tritip sandwiches with another. Whoever the manager was needs some serious customer service training and needs to learn how to speak to people.

This is a small mom and pop shop, walking in that's exactly what it feels like. I was greeted right…read moreaway, the cashier was very friendly. It was a quick interaction but I appreciate any great customer service. I got a 12 piece that came with veggies, ranch and 2 sauce options. I chose to go with lemon pepper and atomic. Lemon pepper is one of my go to for wing sauces/seasoning and you could really taste the lemon pepper, some places are shy on the seasoning. The atomic had great flavor but was lacking in the spiciness, I think it could use a little more heat. The wings were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I would like to come back to try their other sauces. Looking forward to try their garlic Parmesan. I'd like to also mention that I love the fact that they take tap pay, usually small mom and pop shops don't take tap to pay, so that is a plus.

Best place for wings. They have a lot of different flavors and I wish I could say I've tried them…read moreall but their buffalo sauce is my favorite and the only one I get. Wings come in bone-in or boneless options, along with tenders and nuggets. The other dinner option is their burger and a vast array of finger foods; potato skins, breaded zucchini, mushrooms, onion rings, egg rolls (spring rolls) pork or veggie, fries and steamed rice. It's family owned which is a big plus because service is always friendly and consistent. It's a mostly small place with a few tables for dine in but it seems to mostly get take out orders.
