The key to this little number lay in the summary of my review: DELICIOUS!
    Greg S.

Delicious! 1) You don't come here for the ambiance; you come because the food is delicious! 2) You don't come here for fast service, if you're not phoning it in; you come because it's worth waiting for AND the food is Delicious! 3) You don't come here for cheap BBQ; you come because the FOOD is dELICIOUS! 4) Every BBQ is 'pensive. Lean in for the YUM 'case the FOOD here is deLiCiOUS! Caving a bacon cheeseburger today after seeing the pics. Glad I did. Had to try the p-salad as I needed some carbs after the gym. Glad I did! The quality of the bacon cheeseburger, the taste, thickness, char was fantastic. Nice and THICK/juicy. P-salad was cooked properly and had a nice fresh taste. Suggestions/personal preferences: Onion: IF a customer is specifically asking to 'add raw onion,' you should assume that they LIKE onion... without overcompensating understand that it's not always just the taste some are looking for but the TEXTURES! Into textures here! And yeah, then taste. Mayo: IF a customer asks specifically about mayo, wanting it on BOTH sides of the bun, you might assume, 'Guy like's mayo' and firm that up a bit more. Perhaps offer extra on the side. (On-going Dream Burger) Standards for me, start with the dressing of the bun. I could hardly taste the mayo. It was on so thin! Way important here, I NEED that spread edge to edge on both sides and thicker, please. **please don't include packs of ketchup as I didn't request and don't use them. Hate tossing things without using but got 'juicy burger juice' on 'em. :) P-Salad: While tasty, might experiment with some pickles, even chopped olives. Again texture differences and flavor. Would LOVE to have seen PAPPIKA used on top when serving. Perhaps a level #3 dump of that stuff! 'Guy likes his P!' Humm.. Whoops, not going to go there but kinda did! Yeah, some picky stuff. Next time I'll refine my order more carefully. The staff here were friendly and connected. Loved the food and will be back, 'cause you know? The FOOD IS DELICIOUS! -G

Location: Chucks BBQ Clovis Date: September 15, 2025 Service: Take Out First time ever at Chuck's BBQ restaurant located in Clovis area. I was referred by friends to try this barbecue spot out. The drive was short, which is great and there is parking right out front of the establishment. It's been a minute since I had some barbecue cuisine. The restaurant setting was like old school. I was able to get my food and under 15 minutes. The server Sandi was super nice and very prompt with helping the customer. I was the tri-tip meal with rice, pilaf, and mac & cheese. And some barbecue sauce. Check out the photo attached to this review.

Almost left it out! Fresh roll to top it off! =)

9/4/25 Been a while! BBQ sounds good! I called and ordered the half chicken plate with potato salad and hickory smoked beans . The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 30 min. Arrived!! Short wait. Let worker know and it was ready and waiting! Paid for it and wished a good day! Appreciated! Safe and clean inside. Lots of seating. Comfortable. Lunchtime! Really Great, DELICIOUS lunch! Tender seasoned chicken. Spicy BBQ sauce made it even better! Hickory Smoked Beans were FLAVORFUL! Great hickory taste! Potato salad was really Great too! Tasty GREAT lunch. Oh, almost forgot, fresh tasty roll too! It's A LOT! 1/2 was plenty! Another lunch! Good service & Really GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!!

Tri tip, brisket, mac and cheese and pilaf.

Stopped in to try their BBQ. I'm very picky about BBQ and this place was on point. Kind of different flavors in a good and unexpected way. All of the meat was super tender. The Mac & cheese was good. Service was quick. Prices were reasonable. Will go back when I want some good BBQ. The serving sizes were also substantial! Can't wait to try other meats & sides.

I wish they had multi-meat combo deals. But the family meal was worth it for $60 since you can choose multiple meats. We personally like a punch of flavors so wasn't for us, but solid BBQ. Worth checking out!

Before I say anything about the food, the atmosphere was amazing. We were greeted even before hitting the door by the owner and the team at the smoker. This is a family business, and we definitely got the feeling that we were welcome. The food blew me away. I've been lucky enough to taste brisket at some of the best BBQ joints in Texas, and Mega is on par with any of them. The trip tip was tender and full of flavor, and the hot links nice and smoky. We were also able to try a house made jalapeno and Jack sausage that will blow your mind. Did I mention the sides? Brisket chili beans, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. Every single side dish was on point. I don't like my potato salad with a bunch of other stuff mixed in, and this one didn't miss. Hold up. Ever hear about Alabama sauce? Why hasn't anyone ever told me about. Alabama sauce? This concoction was delicious. A bbq sauce that's mayo based? Sign me up! You need to try it. Only thing better would've been a cold beer to wash it all down, bu then again, I probably wouldn't have left. Thanks again for the hospitality. We will definitely be back for the other half of the menu!

It was succulent, saucy, and deeply comforting. The pork was rich and exceptionally moist without being mushy, carrying deep smoky and savory flavors from the slow-smoking process and well-seasoned rub. The BBQ sauce was equally well-balanced--subtly spiced, tangy, and slightly sweet. It complemented the richness of the pork rather than masking it, and I appreciated that it was neither overly drippy nor sticky. The vinegary housemade slaw added the perfect contrast, bringing fresh crunch along with a briny, acidic sharpness that balanced the savory meat beautifully. The garlic-butter French roll held everything together nicely without falling apart, yet remained soft enough to absorb the sauce. I was not nearly as impressed with the tri-tip sandwich, which happens to be their best seller, though I still enjoyed it overall. The tri-tip itself was on point: thinly sliced, tender, medium-rare smoky beef piled onto a garlic-toasted French roll and complemented by tangy BBQ sauce. It delivered smoky, savory, juicy flavors with a satisfying contrast between the tender meat and the crunchy bread, which held the juices well without becoming soggy. That said, I thought the sandwich could have used a little more meat, which likely explains the popularity of the Jump Tri-Tip -- a larger version of the regular tri-tip sandwich that adds more meat on the same excellent bread for only a few dollars more. I also felt the sandwich needed an additional element to elevate it further--perhaps caramelized onions for sweetness, melted cheese for richness, or a sharper horseradish cream or garlic aioli to add more depth and contrast. Service was warm and friendly throughout, and I am always greeted with a smile.

Ordering is done at an outdoor window--no indoor walk-in--which actually adds to the charm. It's quick, efficient, and keeps things moving. The brisket was tender, juicy, and packed with deep, smoky flavor--exactly what you want. The Philly cheesesteak was just as impressive, loaded with meat, perfectly seasoned, and full of bold, rich flavor in every bite. Easily some of the best we've had. Seating is outdoors, and honestly, it's not bad at all--especially in good weather. It's a laid-back vibe where you can just enjoy your food without feeling rushed. I ordered the **BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger**, and while the presentation wasn't the most impressive, it does come with an onion ring, which is a nice touch. It's not my favorite burger on the menu, but it's still very good. I'd give it an **8/10**. The **Monster Burger** is where it's at, though! This is easily a **9/10** and one of those burgers you really can't go wrong with. The portion size, quality, and price are all excellent, and I especially love that it comes with two different types of cheese. Definitely one of the best options here. We also ordered the **Southwestern Salad**, which was really good. I would recommend asking for extra dressing because it could definitely use a little more. Overall, I'd give the salad an **8/10**. The **fries are always a 10/10**. The side portion is huge and easily enough to share, which makes it an even better value. The drinks are good as well. The **service is always top-notch**. They treat you like family, and the food comes out quickly. I also like that the restaurant has both a traditional service side, where tipping is optional, and a self-service side where you find your own table and pick up your food, so tipping isn't necessary. The **ambiance is one of the best things about this place**. If you're a sports fan, you'll love it. The one time we have clearly overcooked meat that tastes like horse the manager completely dismissed my 72-yo mother in a very rude way. I guess selling "1000s of sandwiches today with zero complaints" is good enough to completely dismiss us. What likely happened was they saved the overcooked meat till the end of the day (we went 20 minutes before closing) and we were the schmucks that got it. What really pissed me off though is that the manager had veins popping out of his neck. The way he was talking to my elderly mother was inappropriate. Thankfully he cooled down when I walked up to the conversation. All she wanted was to replace our 4 tritip sandwiches with another. Whoever the manager was needs some serious customer service training and needs to learn how to speak to people.
