[[HIGHLIGHT]]No A/C, but a giant fan in restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was slow, had to keep asking for things. She never gave me my soda. Pastrami meat was dark brown! WTF!? Smelled horrible. Spoiled meat, Should not have been served. Fries were almost raw! Burger smelled funny. Wasted over $28!. We were traveling on a bus so I did not see this until we were on the road. My last time stopping there. Get it together, please!! Looking at past reviews, guess it depends on who's cooking that day!? Sad. read more

Oh boy. Let me tell you what hahaha I was making my way back home from Arizona and really wanted lunch. It's unusual for me to try somewhere I haven't been before. But who doesn't love a burger. First of all the lady taking the order, I don't think she knew a pen from a golf club, because she couldn't take an order to save her life . The cooks in the back we're having more fun talking to each other and play fighting and making food. This Burger place deserves it's current 2.5 star rating but there are only two places to eat in the area that aren't large chains so I rounded up. The food was edible but my bun was stale, bacon was overcooked and there was NO salt on any of our fries. The prices aren't great and the parking lot could use some cleaning up as well. If I am coming through the area again, I will try Barstow Burgers. read more

Very friendly people good service, I would of never stopped here looked empty know I know my favorite stop for our road trips

It has been 4.5 years since I wrote my original review, although we had stopped in here at least 3 other times since that date. It had been about 2 years since our last visit. Nothing has changed for the better regarding the building and furnishings. The bathroom has been tagged to hell by idiots, but outside of that it was clean. Ordered a pastrami sandwich w/ fries and a side of onion rings to split with the wife, who ordered a breakfast plate again. We were both satisfied with the food, maybe with the exception that the fries started to get soft after about 15 minutes. The onion rings were very good and not oily. The menudo is the bomb. We have been stopping at Barstow McDonald's station for sometime now and ignored this little gem right next door. One day Barstow was closed due to improvements and we took a chance. Bathrooms were clean and the menudo was definitely the Breakfast of Champions. Not a good experience. I have been buying breakfast burritos from this place for the past two months not ones did they ever make an issue to substitutions. For some reason today I decided to call in an order and got to the place they charged me $31 dollars for two burritos. I asked the person at the counter why it was so expensive and she said they no longer make substitutions. I mentioned to her how come they didn't mention that over the phone and she told me they started doing that recently. I asked how was I supposed to know that, she could have told me that over the phone but didn't. She tried to tell me that the place started doing that because they have to pay bills and I told her I understand but everyone has to pay bills. My issue with this place is that they do not provide any form of communication regarding changes being implemented. Also, once I got home I noticed that they didn't give me the burrito I ordered. I ordered a chorizo bf burrito but they ended up giving me what looks like a bean and cheese burrito. Definitely not gonna be coming back here. read more

We stopped by here on our way back from NB. There are lots of fast food restaurants in the area. But we were hoping to get something a little more hearty and fresh. We actually confused this for a different Tom's franchise. They are definitely not the same. Though everything was cooked to order, it didn't quite deliver on the fresh part. Here's what we got: - Greek Salad - The Greek dressing was very bland, it tasted mostly like oil with no seasoning. There was a fair amount of veggies which was nice. But they included croutons which was not. - Kids chicken strips - The portion size was nice. The chicken strips tasted like they were hand breaded and not like the standard frozen over bartered strips many fast food places serve. Fries were fresh, but unseasoned. -Kids grilled cheese with fried zucchini- This was your average grilled cheese. They gave us loads of zucchini. But it wasn't good. They tasted like they were battered waffle mix or something. They were slightly sweet but unseasoned as well. - Cheese burger - My husband said it was good but nothing special. There's a "drive thru" but no window. So you order from a speaker. But then the ladies working there have to come in and out to take your payment snd bring your food out. It's not like Sonic or something like that. It's just a weird drive thru situation. After their first trip we were going to just go in ourselves and grab the food to try to save them a trip. But the food was ready at the same time and she was already walking out. I don't think that's very safe for the women and they seemed so tired walking back and forth!! Prices were reasonable. For the amount of food that we got, we spend a little over $30. However I wasn't wowed at all by anything that they had there. I don't think I'd stop by again. read more

Lady at the counter was super nice and she said the burger was great but her Gyros are great also. I got the Gyros and it was delicious. Toms has been a usual stop on trips to Cali from Vegas since I was a kid. Quality has taken a MAJOR hit. We all got burgers, fries, chili cheese fries. The burgers were dry, no condiments or anything. Toms special sauce always made their burgers, not sure what happened there. They veggies on the burger itself were soggy. The fries were just okay. The restaurant itself was dirty. Tables weren't cleaned, floor had wet spots everywhere, just awful. Don't even get me started on the bathrooms. Todays experience made us super sad, we have always loved toms. Not sure what happened but safe to say we will not be returning. read more

I went here for the first time with my kids. My daughter had the kids chicken strip meal and loved it. My son and I had burgers which unfortunately I would not recommend as the buns were so stale we did not eat them. You would think for a burger restaurant they would at least serve fresh food.
