I have been a loyal client of 5+ years. But since this salon has gone under new management, they have gotten progressively worse each time I go in. I book appointments for2-3 weeks out and when it comes time for my appointment, it's as if they had no idea that I had an appointment scheduled. Not only has this happened the last time I was there, I waited 20 minutes and still wasn't seen. This last appointment was the last one ever at this salon. For the second time in a row I was cut and bled by the same women doing my pedicure. This is the second time in a row this same lady has done this. In addition, I was also cut and bled during a mani gel. In the same appointment! It's extremely frustrating that the service I once received is no longer this great salon I found years ago. Unfortunately she charged them for services they never received and also added additional charges for things my daughters did not ask for and were not notified they were being charged extra. Got a pedi and a full set and am very happy with both! The pedicure is sanitary, clean, and relaxing. She asked what I preferred for cut and the paint job was great! For the full set, they had to remove my old ones first. This was my first time experiencing acrylic nail removal through acetone and file down. The lady at the place I used to do them would just pop the acrylic nail off, which was faster but more painful. I like the file down method better. The actual job itself was phenomenal. This is the first time I got an acrylic that didn't raise so high because it was so thick. This one was a thin even layer and got full coverage so it's almost impossible to tell that they're not my real nails. The paint job is the best I've ever had. It's a bit further away from my house. But it's worth the extra ten minutes. worth the drive and worth every penny! read more

After today, I'm done! I was skipped over 3 times. I walked in first, 3 people walked in over 10 mins after me and I was skipped. Had to put down a $100 deposit, but that's to be expected with this big of a party. Day of, they were ready for us at the designated time and even had a little table set up for us so we could put out our snacks and drinks. The quality of work was stellar and the friendliness of the technicians made our experience so fun. A lot of us got gel and the person I had made sure to take her time and that the nail was fully covered. The color required 4 layers of polish and I appreciate that she didn't do less just to save time. They were even able to find a movie that the bride was dying to watch. Having the place to ourselves made us feel really special and allowed us to have fun and talk to each other without worrying about disturbing others. Exceptional customer service! I will reiterate what other Yelpers have stated, the man at the front desk does a great job at making you feel welcome. This is a huge deal for me because I have often witnessed that many businesses lack proper customer service etiquette. Such is not the case here. Employees are polite and do their best to keep you comfortable. They offer you a free water when you get there and that is awesome because it makes me feel like my comfort is important to them. I love that I can get my mani and pedi done at the same time, at other nail salons I always have to wait a long time after one service to start with the next. Empress nails is also great at taking walk-ins. I called 10 minutes before arriving on a Sunday and was seated immediately upon arriving. The women working on my mani and pedi both did an excellent job with cleaning my cuticles and shaping my nails. No more extra skin hanging around YAY! The process was completely painless. Came here with my sister for regular manicures. I've never had my nails painted at a salon so I was excited to find out what the experience would be like. Unfortunately, this means that I cannot make any comparisons to other nail salons. I highly recommend making an appointment, especially if you plan on coming during the weekend. While they do take walk-ins, if they are fully booked for the day they will turn you away if you come without an appointment. They have a decent selection of nail polish with several from my favorite brands such as OPI, China Glaze, Essie, etc. I opted for a summery seafoam green and my sister picked a lovely Tiffany blue. Pros - You are given a bottle of water - They are meticulous with their work. I appreciate that they checked the symmetry of my nails often while they were filing my nails and that they did not rush while cleaning my cuticles - My technician gave me an AMAZING hand and forearm massage that left my hands and forearms looking and feeling SO GOOD - They hold their services to a high standard. My sister's nail polish was old and streaky and her technician was displeased with her work, so after completing all 10 nails with 3 coats of nail polish she cleaned it all off for her and repainted her nails using a similar color Cons - CASH ONLY - They use emory board nail files. Yuck. (I use glass nails files at home, so emory board files feel very harsh and uncomfortable to me) - Their air conditioning is not very strong - The technicians have a very thick Vietnamese accent which I have a hard time understanding. They are very friendly, but I wish I could understand more of what they are saying Overall, I think I would only come back if I were to want to try gel or acrylic nails. While I thought this pampering session was certainly very enjoyable and I am satisfied with my freshly painted nails, I just can't justify paying $14 per person (not including tip) for something you can easily do at home. Don't get me wrong, I think their pricing is very reasonable considering all the services they provide (still can't get over that fantastic hand and forearm massage!), but personally I would rather spend this money growing my own collection of nail polish instead. read more

I've tried looking around at different nail salons in the area, but this is where I keep coming back to. You can either call in an appointment or do a walk in. I try coming here in the daytime on weekdays and even then there is sometimes someone waiting to get serviced. The salon is clean and pretty big. If you get a mani/pedi or pedicure they set you up in one of their massage chairs with a control. While you're getting worked on there's usually a movie playing on the overhead tv, which makes time go by pretty fast. The ladies that I've worked with so far have been great. I've gotten gel manicures here a few times and the lady I worked with did an amazing job. My manicure lasted me more than a month as it just grew out. If I didn't pick at it, it would have still looked perfect (with the exception of growing out of course). Needless to say, I've stopped looking at other salons and just come here when I'm in the mood for treating myself. Bring cash! They have an atm in the front but there is a charge for using it. I can't remember if they don't take card or if there is a fee for card transactions. Either way, you're better off with cash. read more

However, I took off one star because one of my nails is crooked and it looks super dumb when I put my fingers together. I took off another star because I got cut on THREE different fingers -.- ...for the price of $50 (not including tip) there are so many other places to go to. Been here twice and have been so extremely happy I have made appointments and my wait hasn't been long. I have had different technicians both times but I was happy with each one. I wish I would have gotten the older woman's name but she game me foot/ leg and arm / hand massage and as a massage therapist myself.... She had great hands!! I was in Heaven!! This is my new spot. I'm pretty empressed with how my nails turned out! I wanted to wait about a week after getting my nails done to see how they would hold up and they honestly look pretty much the same as they did the day I went to Empressed. This was my first time getting a mani-pedi and I gotta say, I couldn't stop staring at my nails! It was kind of distracting. I'm not usually one to spend on things like this, so I was really surprised with how much I liked it. They have a pretty large variety of colors and brands of polish. I was happy with the light shade of purple I got on my nails and the darker shade of purple on my toes. A spa mani-pedi is $32, not including tax and top. There was a lady who did my nails and a separate person who did my toes at the same time. Tipped them both $5, but I kinda felt like I should have tipped the lady who did my toes more because I've honestly never seen my feet look so nice! What a difference shaping your toe nails and polishing them does, haha. Anyways, I would highly recommend! Definitely worth it to feel pampered once in a while. read more

This nail salon is located in a strip mall with a lot of parking. The salon is medium sized and one of the most quiet nail salons I have ever been to. I paid $47.38 for a gel manicure and standard pedicure- which I feel is a fair price. The salon only accepts CASH for TIPS. They do have an ATM in the salon (see photos). The girls who worked there did a great job on my manicure and pedicure. There was a man there who was taking care of appointments and customers (manager?) who was very efficient. I received a bottle of water , which was very appreciated. The massage chairs are extremely comfortable and the massage it provided was heavenly. I would describe this nail salon as a medium sized business that that offers an environment of tranquility that most other spas don't have. I was very relaxed during my time there and actually wanted to stay longer because of massage chair! I only give 5 Star Reviews to Nail Salons that have disposable liners for the bowls- a MUST for infection prevention. This salon has them. Wow! This is the best nail salon I've been too. I was able to get a same day appointment. I decided to treat myself and get the Empress pedicure and a gel manicure with glitter. Since I had called about 20 minutes before arriving they were already getting my pedicure prepared. I sat on a huge comfy massage chair with the perfect view to the TV. The young man at the front desk made sure I was comfortable and let me pick out what I wanted to watch on Netflix. They even give complimentary water. Empress pedicure: Maria was working on my claws aka feet. She took her time and didn't rush anything. She was gentle but I kinda wish she cut my nails more but sometimes that's too painful. Gel manicure: Nancy did my amazing mani. She and Maria talked to each other a little bit but it wasn't rude like other people do it. She was very precise. She really focused on the glitter. It came out better than I expected. I've been to my fair share of different nail salons, from low end to high end. I would rank this somewhere in the middle.
