I usually shop at the Meijer on Hall Rd but they were out of stock on a particular pharmacy item according to their website. This location supposedly had it in stock because it didn't say 'out of stock' like the Hall Rd store website said. But..... their website for out of stock pharmacy items wasn't updated from what an associate told me, which meant a wasted trip. I did ask the associate though before leaving the department to double check the stock for me but she said even if there was more stock, she wouldn't be able to go in back and get it for me because the person in charge of that department was off work that day. I found it strange but I don't know how their stock system works so I said okay thank you and left disappointed. I also needed a couple of plastic storage bins. The bins and matching lids weren't real organized but I managed to still find what I needed through some jumbled trial and error. The self checkout associate wasn't real friendly. All in all this store put a damper on the day with multiple disappointments. The Hall Rd. store is so much better overall in my personal opinion. read more

I truly appreciate their Pharmacy .. they offer drive through .. staff is friendly .. gets busy between 4 & 7 .. but that's to be expected anywhere, they offer drive thru also - hours 7 days - Would like to see them open longer on weekends .. Staff has been friendly and accommodating .. Also has the convenience of shopping .. I'd like to see this location 24 hours .. it is very centralized. What a terrible experience with a pick up order. My order when I got home was missing the five dollar dressing. The milk was leaking all over my trunk and the olive oil that I bought was two dollars more than it was when I listed it. To add insult to injury when I called customer service they seemed unconcerned and refunded me for the dressing and the milk, but still charge me the five dollar pick up fee even though it was wrong and a waste of my time. Oh, and lastly, my pick up time was for 1 to 2. I got there a little after one and they said they were still going to be 20 minutes more so I would never order from the store or any Myers again they have horrible customer service. read more

HATE this grocery chain. I usually go at 6 AM when they open. They rarely have the sale items I am shopping for. The aisles are blocked with hand carts, flat bed carts and boxes. You have to fight your way to the shelves and avoid the stockers who should have done this overnight. Today I went at 9:15 AM. Same as above. Not one piece of their brand ham that was on sale.. Empty shelves. No employees around to ask. They did have the Chunky soup that was on sale via M-Perks. When I got to the register, I put in my phone number and my M-Perks PIN. Still rang up at the non-sale price. Hit the help button. Employee asked if I had the app on my phone (no). Asked if I had gone into my M-Perks account on line at home and clipped the coupon. Wasn't aware I had to. After several minutes of waiting, he came over and adjusted the amount owed. Why does the customer have to "jump thru so many hoops" to get a sale price? I have had my Kroger on-the-key-chain card for 20+ years. Still works and a lot easier. read more

They sent us a coupon $15 your first online purchase and $15 off for the next two visits. Tried to use the promo code and it said invalid code. I call the help line and I was told it was a IT problem and it was being fixed and they gave me a $15 off promo code. I placed a order today and once again invalid code. I called the help line and I was told the coupon was for only new customer. I spoke to a supervisor and she hung up on me. No where on the coupon does it say for new customers only. I went to this store to mail a box with a couple of Afghans in it to our daughter. The employee told me the box was to heavy to mail (7 pounds), would not fit into the mail truck, the computer was not working (I suggestive he turned it on) and then he took all the customer behind me while I waited. He then left the area. When he came back he started to print postage but decided to wait on another customer. He finally printed the postage and I left after waiting 40 minutes or so. I was going to go shopping but I just bought was needed for tonight. I went to Wal Mart the next day and had a much better experience. I am assuming that either the management or Meijer itself must be a hard company to work for - never see an employee smile. That is IF you can find an employee? This has to be one of the worse store by far..and lets talk about the self checkout - don't make a mistake and need assistance. You will be met at an attitude of "what now" and made to feel that it is your fault the right price did not show up on the monitor. Just came in for three items. They had what I wanted so that was cool. Checking out was an issue, went to the self checkout one of the scanners were out of order and the five people who were using the other ones did not get the concept of in and out fast. One guy was smacking it because he didn't know how to start it. A women couldn't feed in her coupons. Two others had more than 12 items. The other person couldn't figure out how to pay with cash. As always a great experience at the store location. Fresh produce, stocked shelves, happy employees, clean floors, clean meat areas, and Dairy stacked coolers for milk and no smells. Bottle return clean all working. Upbeat music. I passed by three employees in between my shopping saying hello and asking if I needed help, that's a great way to shop. I found all my items I needed off my list plus a couple items I did not I plan on buying but did. This Meijer is worth the drive. Also the parking lot was clear of baskets all baskets inside clean, in line ready to go for customers. A greeter inside the door had a basket ready for me, so a great way to start for sure since they're doing their job saying hello and having a basket ready to use. If you shop at Meijer on Hall Road make the drive and try this one. Easily the worst grocery store I have ever been to. I only go when I cannot go anywhere else. There is constantly human feces in the men's restroom. I have reported it to the managers and every time nothing is done. When I reported it today I was told "I called that in earlier" which implies that it has been sitting for multiple hours. The store is messy and is never stocked with items. If the bathroom is this bad, imagine the deli and places where food is being prepared. read more

I love Meijer! My family and I shop here all the damn time, as they seem to have some of the best prices around. We also appreciate that their stores contain so much more than groceries. I was seeing everyone who had left a message about store 243 on Groesbeck, Everyone can voice their opinion and that is fine. I seen pictures of the bathroom on here. First of all the customers are the ones who leaves their garbage and etc on the floor and then employees are the one who has to clean up after you people who are to lazy to clean up your own mess. I would hate to ask to use your bathrooms in your home if this is how you would leave a public bathroom. Complaints about no products at store 243 well I hate to tell you if you went to another store you would find the same problem of not having stock on their shelves. As for not having lanes opened the problem is that no one does not want to work. So when you are in a store don't start screaming, swearing at the cashiers about no lanes are opened. I've been shopping at this Meijer for over 4 years and it continues to get worse and worse. Today put me over the edge as ALL the cauliflower was rotted. I tried to get organic and it was already moldy along with the regular ones. They never have more than 2-3 lanes open in peak times. I've been a fan of Meijer for years and years, because of the prices, convenience and variety. This nice, clean store location is my go-to about 95% of the time, because I pass it multiple times a day. I can stop on my way to the kids' school in the morning to grab stuff for lunches and be out again in about 10 minutes. I can take a much more leisurely trip later in the day or night and get a bunch of stuff. They almost always have great sales, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

This Meijer never has enough cashiers. We are always prepared to wait in really long lines to check out. Workers block aisles while stocking during busy shopping times. Sometimes, there aren't even any carts for people to use. Either this Meijer doesn't have small carts or they're all in the parking lot. I don't know. I've never seen one. Go anywhere else. I usually love Meijer. But I've had a couple disappointments in the past few years with items they have discontinued selling. Also, this Meijer has a bunch of workers that really don't help me out, and it happens often. These workers fight in front of customers about who is going to do what job because nobody actually wants to do their job, and call each other lazy (which they all seem to be). It takes far too long for someone to come over to your self check out lane when you need a workers assistance because they don't pay attention and once they finally notice, they take their sweet time to come over to you. These same workers are also some of the most unpleasant people. They are scowling at you the whole time like it is your fault that they work there and have that shift. I'm sorry I need groceries, but I'd rather not starve to death. Apart from those workers, I love walking around Meijer and looking at all of the new merchandise. I could spend a whole day here and not get bored. read more

(Meijer) Never enough staff, products out of stock on the shelf, 40 lanes of registers and 3 open, no food in the warmers where the fried chicken, cups of chicken nuggets and cheese sticks should be, and I stop here multiple times a week and it's always like this. I file a complaint on their web site however instead of correcting the problem so I can have a remotely tolerable shopping experience they simply offer a gift card that wouldn't buy a couple bags of chips and the store still just operates poorly. I was here a few days ago to get only a couple items and grabbed a small cart. I realized after I was almost done that I really needed the larger cart! When I got done checking out at the self-scan I realized I couldn't fit my bags into my small cart. All I did was mention to the staff member, Renee P., that I "might need a bigger cart" more of as a joke, but she said "oh no problem! I'll go get one for you!" It was a small gesture but it was really showing how she went above and beyond customer service. She also helped me with pushing my items down the belt on the self-scan and organized everything for me. It made my late-night visit to Meijer so much easier!
