The customer service was some of the best I have ever received. I first called to check the availability of a Ping Pong table in stock, the Sporting Goods Department was very helpful on the phone and actually took the time to check the stock room. When I arrived, the same individual who answered the phone (Dave) was there and ready to help. He actually went the extra mile and found me a coupon to use at check out which saved an additional $20. This is a relatively "new" Meijer, and the gas station pumps always have regular unleaded gasoline but some of them have E85, Biodiesel, or Diesel right next to the gasoline pumps. The Meijer and gas station was built around 2008 when everyone was yahoo about corn-based E85 fuels and Biodiesel, before people realized the amount of tax subsidization that goes into reducing the pump prices for E85 or how poor the fuel economy is with E85 (due to the lower energy density of ethanol, which is about 66% of regular unleaded gasoline). The gasoline quality is consistent, and the station stalls are generally very clean. Whether it is 87 octane or 93 octane, I've never had a problem using their fuels in my vehicles or lawn equipment. I run some high performance engines with raised ignition/spark tables or turbocharger that requires 93 octane, and not once did I detect severe detonation. Even with the naturally aspirated engines, Meijer 87 octane is ping-free. When I fill up at BP, Sunoco, Shell, Marathon, or Speedway, the gas quality is inconsistent with reduced fuel economy and/or noticeable detonation at wide open throttle under load. My lawnmower from the early 1980s runs the 87 octane just fine. I asked Meijer about their gasoline supplier, and they said that it varies from time to time, but it must contain very little or no ethanol because my old-school lawnmower and 2-stroke equipment run on this stuff fine with no extra maintenance. The store layout is very open and vast. It never feels crowded or dirty. The manager does an outstanding job ensuring the store is kept clean and well lit. The cashiers are extremely friendly, and the produce section is kept well-stocked and clean. They recently reorganized the apparel department by moving the men's apparel around, which confused the heck out of me for awhile. The pharmacy is excellent. The lead pharmacists practically know me by name and are always willing to assist with questions. The pharmacy technicians are just as friendly and helpful. The photo/electronics department seems understaffed, but I don't blame them. That section seems to be a low-traffic area, but I've occasionally had to ask someone to ring up an employee to assist with my photograph order or to purchase a video game. But again, I don't blame the store or the employees because that is a lower traffic area compared to other sections of the store. The produce and merchandise prices are inexpensive to moderate. They are quite competitive with Wal-Mart's prices, and with their 15% off general merchandise and 5% off grocery sales (either with their credit card or via Mperks), they often beat Wal-Mart's prices. Their produce is very good, but I often go to Aldi (which is right around the block from this Meijer) to stock up on other items. read more

I have shopped here for years with no problems until tonight when i paid with my meijer credit card that i have used for years...the employee told me they had to check id i said ok but its in my husbands name. So long story short i paid and had to leave my groceries at the store drive home get my husband who was watching our 3 sick kids to get up out of bed and drive to the store to get our things. I am beyond pissed off and will no longer shop here. read more

Shop and use to work there for 7 years. Great place they had some bad management. (reason i quite) But they finally pushed out the bad management. Great store core cashiers in the morning are the best. read more

The pharmacies at 15 mile/ Utica, Groesbeck/ Cass and 13 mile/ Little Mack are a joke. They are out of or have limited quantities of all our prescriptions. We have to constantly go to other Meijers or come back to get a full prescription. We finally transferred to Walgreens. Management at Groesbeck/ Cass and 15/ Utica are rude and treat costumers with no respect. Kim K. from 15 mile / Utica, is particularly degrading and down right mean. The bonehead night manager at Groesbeck/ Cass accused us of shoplifting a fountain pop. He was erratic and I think he was under the influence. I am not sure what happened to Meijer but it is not the same store it used to be. If you want to be treated like crap then you have found your chain of stores. read more

Store needs to do a better job of getting stock in. Had empty shelves and low stock. Not good on a weekend.

The customer service at this Meijer is awesome! Every time I have an issue the fix it and always give me something extra for the inconvenience! They truly know how to attract and retain customers. The only reason I am giving Meijer a 4 out of 5 star rating is because of the restrooms. Every time I go shopping (it doesn't matter what time of the day or day of the week) every stall has something on the toilet seat that shouldn't be there and garbage, toilet paper etc is everywhere. There has only been two out of three stalls in working order for at least three months. I did inform management of the cleanliness of the bathrooms and it has not changed =/. It's unfortunate that some customers are inconsiderate and ruin the bathrooms for everyone else. read more

I like this Meijer. Not anything special but it's usually pretty clean and organized. Employees for the most part are helpful but you'll come across a few rude ones like you will at any store. There bottle return area could be much cleaner that place is pretty gross... I mean I know it's a tough area to keep clean but could easily be kept up better. All in all I usually don't run into any problems here and it's a rarity that I do. read more

Checkouts are always understaffed. I wait 20 plus minutes in line to check out every time I go in.

25+ check out lanes and only 4-5 open on a weekend. Its like that everytime I go and there is always some sort of 'issue' when using the self check out. I avoid this store like the plague and Meijer charges more for groceries than I paid in Southern California... I do my grocery shopping at Kroger for reasonable prices. read more

Meijer has absolutely no one with any customer service skills, they really need to hire people who are willing to assist a customer. I called a few of the area locations, Tyler in media at Fraser, Martina in media at the clinton twp location looking for the new XBox One system , knowing that they probably won't have them in stock but checking just in case, and was given such poor attitudes on the phone I will be taking my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well. read more

I have been grocery shopping here for 3 years I have to say a lot of things have gone down hill. The produce is not very good over the last 6 mths.:.the feta cheese is $2 more per container than Kroger and they lack in organic products. I refuse to buy chicken there because they do not offer less than 15percent retained water(pumped full of crap chicken) the meat has gone down hill all together. They don't have kid health frozen meals and the last two times I have Gone there( which was on the past week) I've had terrible lettuce, tomatoes and grapes. I know they are probably not in season, but even the onions are bad. Meijer is way closer than my Kroger but I have to say I'm pretty much done with meijer here on out. I will drive the few more miles to Kroger they have a great organic section and way better meat and I hear good things about Aldi that is right next to meijer so I will try there also. I feel sad because I used to love meijer but they have gone way down hill. Goodbye Meijer read more
