I wanted to share some honest feedback about the meijer at 26 mile In Washington mi I used to work at but, unfortunately, management has gotten significantly worse since I left. When I worked there, there were already issues, but it seems like the overall management and work environment have declined even more. From what I have seen and heard, there is really only one manager who consistently seems to care about the employees, does their job well, and treats people with respect. Whose name is Brandon. There is also only one employee who consistently stands out as hardworking, dependable, and dedicated. All of the customers love her. And her name is Rebecca. It is disappointing that the store seems to rely so heavily on only a couple of good people while the rest of the management team appears to lack the leadership, communication, and accountability that employees deserve. Breaks are ALWAYS late, others are getting theirs before the ones who should get them first. Good management is extremely important for employee morale and the overall success of a store. When employees feel ignored, poorly managed, or unsupported, it affects the entire workplace. I genuinely hope someone takes this feedback seriously and looks into the current management. Lately every time I have gotten fruit from the store. Tell me why every time the fruit is all mushy and bad just yesterday. I went up and bought caramel apples and as I cut them open, they are all squishy and bad on the inside. Please do your jobs and stop messing around with employees read more

While hurrying home from the thumb, I realized I needed a few items for barbecue tonight. I parked as close to "Fresh" as I could. Blocking the entrance were people holding adorable puppies on leash. You knew they were puppies because under virtually all of them were puddles. Young untrained dogs. Perhaps not ready for the grocery store. One door was blocked off, so I had to dodge puddles and affectionate dogs to get in to the store. I'm allergic to furry animals. After retrieving some butter and sour cream from the dairy section, I was able to enjoy one of the dogs dropping a deuce by the pickles. The poor handler was ill equipped. He tried to pick it up with a plastic bag, but without towel or cleaner he left a fecal smudge. The smell was phenomenal. Foul doesn't describe it. I needed spinach, but decided to do without. Ok, I forgot. While walking through the produce section, I dodged a couple puddles and made a beeline to the checkout. Everyone loves puppies, but this was a bad idea. read more

Customer service desk sucks, rude and disrespectful. I know what I ordered but your employee "Brandon" is on a " power trip" or something. Because he told me I was wrong when I know I wasn't. Got home, counted my items, looked at my receipt, got charged for the 5 items he put back. Don't worry Brandon, since your little "mistake" I got a full refund for my WHOLE order. Hopefully you'll get fired soon because for what reason do you have to act so rude and snobby when 1) I was NICE TO YOU. 2) YOU WORK AT A SERVICE DESK. You shouldn't work at a customer service desk if you don't like to help customers. Because you were also rude to the sweet old man in front of me. FOR WHAT? I stopped in here "Quick" on April 10, since I was somewhat in the area after dropping off my absentee voters ballot on 25 Mile Rd. This location is near many, many other stores since its near Stoney Creek. My reason to stop in here was for a container of Betty Crocker Orange Sherbet frosting to go with the same flavor cake I baked at 7am. I previously bought a Spring cake mix called Orange Sherbet at my favorite Meijer on S. Groesbeck near Cass last week and there was no frosting to match up with cake mix there. I struck out here also no matching frosting. This location has a Spring Confetti cake mix and matching frosting but no orange sherbet therefore I improvised and bought the vanilla fluffy marshmallow and added food coloring to make the color orange = baker's talent :) I guess I will need to email Betty Crocker about their frostings. Back to this Meijer location on 26 Mile near Van Dyke = I had no problem parking since their lot is very large with a remodeled store inside and out. When the remodel was done? I do not know since I do not live in immediate area This location has two entrances which is a grocery and a Home entrance. I saw a Huntington Bank, Optical Department, and a Drive Up Pharmacy so convenient! It seemed busy when I walked in near the food entrance by produce and U-Scan check out since lunch crowd shoppers. The floors clean and clear of clutter, aisles organized, shelves stocked too. I was greeted by an employee with a smile and "Hello" and she also said a "Goodbye" thank you for shopping when I left in less than 15 minutes. I did not get to use a basket and make my shopping experience time longer, then I could review and write more. I hope to shop here again when I'm in the area and the weather warms up in MICHIGAN.. it better soon BRRR ! Its been too long of a winter! read more

I admit that most Meijers are super busy. They are large and have all these lanes closed, only like 8 open usually. To me that seems ridiculous, but I figured it was staffing issue. I actually do prefer this location over Hall though. I lived here for a long time and always came to this location. The employees have always been helpful. Something that impresses me and makes me give it a 4 star is the fact that they treat everyone with respect. My mom has an accent, a very strong one. Sometimes it is so difficult to understand what she is saying. Some may even see her as a nuissance at most places and treat her rudely. Here, they always treat her with respect. They help my mom with anything she needs. She shops here and Kroger on the opposite side. Both stores have great customer service. Whenever she has asked for help, they would walk her to her destination. Unlike Walmart when they say things like "that isn't my area." I also have asked for help before. Usually my mom always shopped and I never really went to the grocery stores. I didn't like the crowded isles. When she went on vacation with my dad, it was our responsibility to buy them for the house. I honestly was so lost and confused. A lady saw my sister and I, and she asked if we needed assistance. She went out of her way to show us where each item was located. We needed 5 things. That was the nicest thing anyone could do in a situation like that. I never expected her to actually show us around. I expected her to say "oh it's in 10 just walk down and find it here." I only wish the line issue would change though. read more

Nick B at checkout is great. He helped us find corn syrup when we were in desperate need. He made some calls and boom corn syrup. He's super friendly and helpful. Certainly a delight! He needs a raise. I know my meijer trip is going to be good when I see Nick working! read more

This store is a very nice store. All the people there are very nice and friendly and willing to help. Very clean.

I loathe coming to this meijers, or any for that matter. These stores have the most registers of any other store known to mankind, yet they perpetually only ever have 2 lanes open for checkout. Doesn't matter what day or time you go, if you're shopping for 1 thing or a weeks worth of groceries, if you do self check out or wait in line for a cashier, check out always takes FOREVER! There is literally 30 check out lanes at this location but today only 4 were open, seriously?! Today was my 3 visit to this store this week, for an item that was on sale. And today they still did not have it!! Wth meijers?!? 3 times to your store and you still don't have it in stock?! Get your act together, and while you're at it put some more of your employees on registers and get customers out of your store in a timely matter! read more

I've shopped here for years but was disappointed with check out process today. The line that I had chosen was having difficulty with the card reader. She was still checking people out, but then sending them to customer service to pay the bill as she would suspend the order. So not only did I wait in line to check out, but then I had a wait in line again at customer service for another 10 minutes just to pay the bill. I was very disappointed and frustrated that the process took so long. read more

Been a Meijer shopper for 15 years. Been a regular at 3 different locations through the years depending on where we were living at the time. I have to say, the 26 mile road location is absolutely horrible. The worst of the worst. I don't know who does the ordering at this location but I've seen items not get stocked for a month sometimes longer. These items are not hard to get anywhere else. Sometimes I leave at go right to Kroger across the street and get it. Or I can drive out of my to the Hall rd Meijer and get it, bottom line is I can't get it at this store. I am not really sure how this location stays in business. Please, hire someone to do your ordering. read more

Washington Mi Meijer pharmacy is the worst pharmacy ever. wouldn't fill a prescription so went across street to Rite Aid and was filled with no problem. Brought in prescriptions but they had to call doctor to verify, Clerk very rude. Will never go there again. Rie Aid, CVS, Walgreens much better, less hassle and way more friendly to their customers. The other pharmacies appreciate your business, Not Meijer. read more

Open 24/7. Has great customer service. Started going to here instead of Kroger! Prices are better and is more spacious.

Normally I don't care for Meijer. But this location doesn't seem to bother me like they usually do. If you need wine, or food/drinks then is is a great option. Usually the parking lot is a mess of people but that is the only real negative. read more

I want to make sure Liz G in the deli gets the recognition she deserves. It was around 9:30 am today and at first there were just a couple of people. Both got more than one or two items. Then the line started forming. Although she was alone with no help, she maintained a calm and steady pace. She was courteous and attentive to all. She apologized for the wait, let people know she was going to get to them. A very friendly personality in a stressful situation. She should be recognized for her character. In today's times, it is rare to see this. We, the customers and Meijer are lucky to have someone this hard working and friendly among all the above things as well. This Meijers is really worth shopping at, The produce, and meats are always in stock, I think this store is the best Meijers around. I Travel to this Meijer's Because the store is always stocked, Good quality and the employees are Friendly, Used to shop at the other Meijers on Hall Rd, that store is really messed up as far as keeping meat in stock, and dairy products, This one is much better worth the trip. read more

If I could rate zero stars, it would be deserving. I left my wallet in this store back in like January. I went back the next day and they told me it wasn't there. Then on May 4, I get a letter with my ID in it saying my wallet WAS there in lockup. Wtf. I couldn't get there right away as I live quite a distance away. My vehicle broke down and I called them to have them allow my girlfriend to pick up my wallet for me. They told me NO! Even with proof of ownership!! I explained that my vehicle was in the shop and I could not pay for it without the credit card in my wallet, and needed it today; that I could forward her the picture of my ID and letter I received from Meijer. No one else would have that except me. The owner. She told me, sorry there's nothing we can do for you. You'll have to pick it up yourself. These people told me it wasn't there, then months later send a letter w/ my ID saying it IS there, but I have to get it myself...so why didn't these idiots send me the whole wallet to my house to begin with!!? This is the lunacy you can expect to deal with if you shop there. They've lost my business permanently. read more

Honest people still exist! I was having already a bad and went to Meijer for some last minute groceries. Came home and was about to unload when I couldn't find my cell phone. No, no, NO! This can't be happening to me! I drove back to Meijer and went to where I left my grocery carriage in the stand where they collect. Well, none were there it was empty. I ran inside to ask the check out lady and she said no it wasn't there. About to cry, I raced to customer service and asked if someone had turned in a cell phone. They asked what colour, mine was an obnoxious orange, and lighter and behold, the grocery cart guy had turned it in. This is a brand new edition iPhone. I don't know whom of those guys that grab the carts turned it in, but I asked them to thank him and also asked God to bless this person for turning in my cell phone. This is always a great place to shop, but what a positive experience knowing their employees are honest and do the right thing! WOW! A+++++ to this exceptional Meijer store! read more

Generally a clean, nice store but there are never enough checkers. Takes forever to get out if this place.

This store is horribly unprofessional. The lines were long and slow because the poor cashiers didn't have anyone to help them. I waited in line for 40 minutes with 3 children. The store was terribly understaffed and unorganized. There were employees available throughout the store that could have helped expedite the check out process, but no manager/supervisor thought to efficiently utilize their available resources. I will not return there ever again, and I know the customers ahead of me and behind me felt likewise. read more

This is my second go to for groceries.... I love my little Sheena's Market right by my house, but when I'm in need of just a tad larger variety I will hit up Meijer... This store is HUGE, CLEAN, and the service is EXCELLENT! Case in point, for an appetizer I was preparing for a fun gals night, I needed long thin breadsticks, to wrap that thinly slice proscuitto around... Where the heck are these suckers....is everyone so carb-crazed, that they don't make them anymore??? wtf...anyway....I asked one of the workers who was putting away items in the refrigerator section, and she knew what I needed...and walked around with me...until it hit her where these breadsticks were! YES!!!!! Just what I was looking for! This is not an isolated incident of helpfulness... Everytime I go into this store I am asked at least once (from grocery to pharmacy) if I am finding everything all right. And I always do the Uscan checkout, but am always in need of the attendant for some reason, and they too are always really pleasant! I'm lucky to have a great place like this to go to! Don't have a problem with most of neither brand products except their bakery items. Bought a strawberry rhubarb pie the other day and literally not one strawberry in the whole pie. Threw it out it was so bad. Bought a cake the other week and it was stale. Ended up throwing that away as well. The pumpkin pies aren't bad and Dutch apple are good too. I came in on a Saturday at 8:30am. The bakery section was not set up. No donuts or pastries put out. This is supposed to be done at 6am. I saw racks behind the counter with donuts.
