I'm disappointed in the high prices that are higher than even the more popular grocery stores. They are priced at least$1 higher on most products & often don't have any brand names so we're being over charged for their stores brands. The customer service is good though! I'm on a tight budget with EBT for my food & unfortunately can't afford their prices. I can't mention other stores but I get far more from a chain that is known for a bit higher prices & they too have free delivery over $35 & free pickup. Meyer has a LARGE selection yet many typical items are never there. I'd like to see some prices lowered for everyone. It's difficult for all of us to put food on the table. read more

I think this is one of the better grocery stores in the Waukesha area. Compared to Metro Market or Sendik's, the prices here are much more reasonable. Each time I stop by, there are lots of sales going on. I really appreciate the large produce section. There are lots of items to choose from. Nonetheless, the section housing the bulk leafy greens and fresh herbs is never very organized. The items are not properly labeled, so it's a pain trying to figure out what is what. Also, I would avoid buying apples here. They are either too tart or too squishy. The larger grocery area is well organized. The aisles are wide, well stocked, and easy to navigate. I especially love the aisle with the protein powder. They have so many options and they also offer collagen and super greens supplements, which I rarely see at grocery stores. The clothing section is also great. They offer some really nice, high quality brands such as Carhartt and Adidas. The toiletry section also offers many different brands. Overall, I'd definitely recommend going to this grocery store. It's not nearly as overwhelming as Walmart and has a much better selection than Target. There are plenty of checkout lanes, both with a cashier and self-checkout. The produce section has an electronic scale to weigh your items. Then you can print a sticker with a barcode and slap it on your bag to make checkout quicker. Make sure you sign up for an M Perks account. You can get so many great coupons and offers. I believe this store is racist. It is very uncomfortable shopping when you see the white security guy lurking around watching the non-white shoppers. I will not give my business to an organization that promotes racism nor should anyone else. There is a Pick n Save right across the street & I feel welcome there. The produce is not fresh here & the self check is ridiculous. I am not paid to check myself out & bag my own groceries. If they don't want to pay cashiers, then they should shut down. Meijer used to be ok when they first came here, but now their prices are way too high & their customer service is non-existent. They HAD a 5 star rating from me until the self checkout area was butchered and turned into a clustered mess. The self checkout system you had before was arranged better. It allowed for more self check units (with the large quantity converter belt no longer there), and had better customer flow. Please consider switching back because this Walmart-like arrangement is GARBAGE. With the old system I rarely waited in line to check out, with the new system I'm waiting in a line EVERY time. What can I say, I'm a fan of Meijer. It's like an upscale Walmart. This location is much like all the rest. Clean, well lit, friendly staff, wide selection of products. I really love this location because it's easy in, easy out. I know I'll find what I need and then check out quick via standard lines or self-check. There are great sales all the time and deep discounts if you find the right endcaps. Need to kill an hour and spend an easy $100? Mill around for a bit and you'll leave happy and feeling like a deal-hunting champ! read more

The clerk was having trouble and so was their system. The credit card terminal showed approved but her screen didn't show a "completed transaction" I was double charged. I opened my bank account and it was plain as day that there were 2 charges to my account. When I spoke to the manager he refused to fix the large $ error. Called the next day because my account showed the 2 transactions. I unfortunately spoke to the same manager and he decline to remember me. I had saved my only receipt from the 2nd charge and was told if I didn't have both receipts he had no option to refund me. He was also rude and knew nothing about customer service. Meijer made the poor decision to promote this untrained man. They lost my business. They wont make up the $ to pay him over time with the loss of business from me and anyone else he rips off and mistreats. Way to go Meijer. Oh, I also call to inform another manager of the incident. This is the worst Meijer I have ever been to. The self checkout register I unfortunately chose had a scanning problem and needed assistance. I waited for 20 minutes for a Meijer employee who "could do it", after I walked around the front of the store area looking for anyone who worked at Meijer. It was 9pm, very few customers in the store...now I see why. read more

I purchased a ring at Meijers food store in Waukesha wi., the ring had a tag on it and it was not in a box. I cut the tag off, threw it away. A few days later I noticed one of the jewel stones was missing. Well my garbage I took outside no longer did I have the tag, but I did have a receipt. I went to return it the store maanger said to me we don't have another ring (which they sent me to go look for) to match it up with so you could of purchased that ring anywhere since I did NOT HAVE THE TAG. So even with the receipt they didn't even know there inventory to return it and give me my money back. After the manager said no, she turned and walked away. I won't be shopping at Meijers anymore. There items are not worth it. A lot of good receipts do a person these days. read more

I fell in love with Meijer 15 years ago in Michigan. I'm so happy Meijer is in Wisconsin now. This is a really nice Meijer, too. I like that it has a Starbucks right in the store. It's fairly close to the highway, too, which I like because it's a convenient stop off when visiting my relatives in Wisconsin over the holidays. read more

I was excited to see this store open near me. Recently not so much! Customer service is horrible there! I went there Monday afternoon at 3pm wanted to purchase a few of their speciality burgers. The butcher was cleaning machinery and would NOT look out. There were 2 others waiting longer than I was and said he NEVER looked out even after tapping on the glass. We ended up buying the pre packaged burgers made in house (not the flavor we wanted) cooked them at home and they tasted good. just finishing my last few bites and I noticed something in my mouth. Beautiful store, good selection. A little pricier but, worth it. Sad that the pretzel place is gone, appreciate the in-store Starbucks. Wish they'd put all the cleaning supplies all in one place, on the department store side of the building rather than split between there and then another section hidden back behind the liquor department. read more

I won't shop at Meijer anymore after a cashier attempted to charge me for snap peas (very expensive that time of the year) when I had green beans. I kindly pointed out they were green beans and asked that she re-code and change the charge for peas. She told me, "What's the difference?" and refused to do so. I pointed just feet away to the customer service desk and said she could get help there if she didn't have the produce code. Again, she didn't care about the $3 price difference or correcting the mistake. I went over to customer service afterwards and told the story. The person at the desk said the cashier is "really nice, really she is." OK, but you're charging me for the wrong item and won't fix it!!! I am sad because I liked Meijer's clothing, produce, and meat, but I have a hard time getting past this woman's poor attitude and laziness. read more

I'm originally from Michigan and my family and I are so excited to finally have Meijer stores nearby. This location is much larger than the ones in Wauwatosa and Pewaukee/Sussex, and maybe even larger than the one in Oak Creek. Meijer is the original "all in one" store whose design was copied for Super Walmart and Super Target. They have an excellent selection of fresh produce, deli items, and all other groceries. They have great sales, with even more money saving opportunities by signing up for their mperks online coupons. I usually browse and clip coupons on my way into the store and save extra cash without spending the extra time. You can also "auto-clip" the most popular coupons each week and just sign into your mperks at the checkout to see if you have any coupons available to use. As a busy career mom of 5, the location and selections of this Meijer can't be beat! read more

The Starbucks in this Meijer is ridiculously slow. It took me 15 minutes to get two drinks, and there was only two people ahead of me in line. I have been here several times and it's always slow, but this was ridiculous. My drinks should have been free at that point. I shop here every week for groceries & every week, I bring expired items to the front, most of which is dairy, to a managers attention. 2 weekends ago, I brought cheese up with an expiration of 6 MONTHS AGO!! After talking to a manager who let me know these things "can't be fixed overnight", I sent an email to corporate! I was frustrated by their lack of concern for the health of the customers!
