Honestly, this isn't a bad grocery store. It's not my favorite, but I don't actively avoid it. The prices are pretty high, but if you have a rewards card they are slightly more reasonable. I usually have pretty good luck in the produce, deli, and bakery sections. There's a pretty big selection in those areas and everything seems fresh. The apples are especially good - they're always sweet and always crispy. The main grocery area is where the problems really are. Though the selection is big, so many things seem to be out of stock all the time. The dairy section is the main culprit. You can see that there is a lot of space for products, but it's mostly empty and there are little stickers that say something along the lines of "Sorry this item is out of stock. We'll restock soon." But in reality, I don't think I've ever seen this section fully stocked. The aisles themselves are not very wide. This makes it difficult for multiple people with shopping carts to maneuver around. If you use a wheelchair, this will probably be difficult for you. My other gripe with this store is the checkout lanes. The lines are almost always backed up way into the aisles. There are only a couple self-checkout lanes and usually only one or two lanes with a cashier are open. Don't be surprised if you spend more time waiting to checkout than actually grocery shopping. read more

This place is horrendous. The Customer Service desk person is rarely ever up there- on all shifts. And when they are, they always have problems with the registers. I live right down the street and love playing their machines for scratchers but that's it. The produce is usually very mediocre if not good. It smells like a wet apron sometimes in there. The prices are way too steep compared to Meijers. It's just the employees that work there that irk me. You can tell that just come to get a check and thats it. They always are either standing around doing NOTHING or just meandering around the store catching flies in their open mongoloid mouths. For real people, close your mouths when you are in public! Years ago we had one grocery store option, Sentry and we had three Sentry in Waukesha and a distribution center. Then we had two options with Pic N Sav. Now, we have 10 not counting Sam's, Costco or Target, Walmart. all offering a different value proposition. If you don't mind planning and driving further, I'd go to Fresh Thymes, Trader Joe's or Whole Foods over Pic N Sav any time. And if it is about 1-6 things you need, I'd much rather support the local Sentry. Why? Quality and service. Pic N Save seemed to have rested on their laurels as they cornered the market in SE Wisconsin and drove competitors out with low prices. Then the lack of management, lack of customer service and total lack of quality seemed to replace their vision to make a profit. How often have I gone in and the produce section was bare, the greens were brown or wilted and essentially three selections of vegetables? Why continue to support them? I then turned my business to resh Thymes, Trader Joe's or Whole Foods or Sentry. This is only one person's opinion, and feel free to agree or disagree! Get no respect. What's in a name. All together now. They've been called Pick & Save, Pic N Save, and Shop & Save. It's Pick 'n Save folks. It's a grocery store. It's not the closeout store Pic 'N' Save, incorporated in 1950, in Culver City, California. Pick 'n Save's humble beginnings were as a warehouse food store, started in 1975. Now a standard supermarket grocery store chain. One of the many gobbled up by Kroger. That was back in 2015. I personally like this location. Staff has been helpful when I've had difficulty with the electronic coupons and self checkout. They've taken returns under what I considered reasonable conditions during COVID-19. They have a discount section for bakery goods back in dairy. There is also a clearance section up front at self checkout. Not my main grocery store, but I like to stop by and pick up a few items now and then. Rarely get fresh fresh fruits and vegetables here. Mainly just because price and quality aren't competitive with elsewhere. Why is this store still open? It's a small store & there is absolutely no customer service. Every time I go here, I am overcharged & when I try to get my money back, they treat you like you are trying to scam them. I bought 2 packages of Kroger paper towels which were advertised on sale for $5.99. Of course they rang up at $10.99 each. When I asked, it was like pulling teeth. She walked slowly over to the paper goods aisle to check. Then she took off something but it wasn't accurate because they still overcharged me tax. The customer service woman is downright mean & scary. The produce is not fresh & the prices are way too high. It is a royal pain trying to clip all the stupid coupons & trying to maneuver all the sales (Buy 5 get $1 off, Buy 6 get $1 off, etc.). As others have stated, the check out lines are looong. The manager does not do a good job of running the store. Do NOT waste your time going here & save yourself some aggravation. Actually I'd rather drive a little further & go to either the New Berlin Super Walmart (very nice store) or the Waukesha Walmart because they have much better prices, enough help & they've both been remodeled. Then you don't have to waste time trying to clip the Pick n Save coupons that never seem to work! read more

I have gotten frustrated with the customer service at this particular store so many times, stopped shopping there, end up going back because of the convenience and end up frustrated once again. You shop the deals and they do not ring up as such. You make a special trip to customer service (because they are not open at night when I shop) for a price adjustment and they give you the third degree even though they are in the wrong. If you don't go in during that week, they don't give it to you, saying its been a week...UGH!!!! They use to give you the adjustment and double it for your trouble,...NOT ANYMORE. I have shopped other Pick'n Saves in my area and never have the problem of things not ringing up correctly, as I do here. What really gets me furious is when they act like its your fault while you stand there and wait for them to do their investigation (which sometimes is a long time) and then once they figure out you are right, NO APOLOGY. Also it looks like this happens to ALOT of people. Wake up Pick"N SAVE and give people the customer service they deserve or you will be out of business as people choose to shop elsewhere. read more

DO NOT ORDER the whole deli chicken. Not enough meat on it to feed my 5 pound dog. Perhaps they need a better supplier. The chicken literally took up only 1/2 of the container they put it in. It also had a burnt smell. I will shop elsewhere and pay a little more just to have more than enough for 1/2 of a sandwich. read more

i was a previous employee but using fake name due to the fact i sometimes shop there. the managers kelly and amy are very judgemental when it comes to the employees. amy is very rude when it comes to scheduling off requests and is very unapproachable. kelly and amy when they work together both hide behind the desk and boss people around. it is quite unprofessional. the employees are treated awful. i had asked off for a week when i first got hired and they said they could do it but when it came time to the week i needed off they had me scheduled and were mad when i couldn't come in because i was out of the country. when it came to putting my two weeks in the assistant managers at the costumer service desk had claimed they never received it but the hiring manager abby had confirmed it. they also continued to schedule me past the last day of my two weeks and were mad that i refused to come in past that point. they also are never scheduling enough employees or helping when it's needed. the lines are always down the aisles and complain when employees ask for help bagging. the store itself is quite dirty. under the registers are disgusting along with the bathrooms and the floors. food is always spoiled or expired. i opened a salad that was completely brown. a manager has even agreed that the potato salads cause people to get sick. the best thing there is the tuxedo cake from the bakery but that's it. read more

What a terrible experience, using Kroger delivery service! I just placed my first order online to have it delivered. The items were delivered, but 4 bottles of laundry detergent were out of stock, so skipped on my order. I did allow for substitutions, mind you, but instead, they took them off my order. When my charge came through on my credit card, it was MORE than the initial total. I called customer support, for them to inform me, because some of items were canceled, my coupons did not apply! Customer service supervisor Austin was extremely rude, and talked over me, as I explained the situation. I will never use this service again, and will be contacting my bank for a refund! read more

items are often not marked correctly. very often 'sale price' may be displayed but check the packages. very very often the sale price has not been reflected on packaging. Ask the clerk and you might get the answer that they have not been told to label things with the sale price. this seems to be a common 'mistake' at Pick and Save. I call it cheating. read more

Every time I go to this store I am OVER CHARGED for some item or another Luckily I've learned to check my receipt before leaving. Sometimes 25cents or 50cents or a dollar but it all adds up Why if something is on sale isn't it reflected at the check outs Today $6. for flowers but when I got to car was charge $7. Still exploring grocery stores, but was certainly glad when I discovered this Pick & Save that is closer to me and also much newer than one I went to and thought, "OMG, please say that this will not be my usual grocery store." I know, I'm a snob when it comes to grocery stores, but if you don't feel comfortable walking around the store, how can you possibly be comfortable knowing your food comes from there?! Anyway compared to some other stores, it may not be a five-star grocery store, but I would say that this is my usual store, unless I need specialty items or driving by one of my preferred stores. Some of the reasons I didn't give it five stars: Leeks and Cilantro not always the most fresh items out (when things are changing colour or getting slimey... not good), on more than one occasion the various cuts of beef look like they have gone off (the meat is grey instead of red), the bakery and deli area usually look empty when I go through (probably a good thing for my waistline, but still), and rotisserie chicken isn't that good. If I do need to buy any of those items I usually end up going somewhere else just to make sure I don't leave disappointed. However, the store is fairly easy to navigate... no mood lighting! Other produce usually looks good and they have a pretty good variety. The rest of the store is very nice, usually clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall it is a good store if you are looking for your 'usual' grocery store. read more

This place is better left unvisited. I went here in the morning around 7am on a Saturday for a grocery run. I went through the store getting everything I needed and went up to the front with a full cart of groceries. The only check out lines open were self check out. The total millennial kid that was monitoring the self checkout was leaning against one of the shelves unenthusiastically and I asked him if there were any other checkouts open since I had a full cart. He seemed pissed I even acknowledged his existence and said no but I can help. Bro. I do not want you to help, I do not want to sit here doing your job for 20 min and maneuver the small space of my cart as I fill it bag by bag. I asked for a W-2 for next years taxes as he stood there (still leaning against a shelf) watching as I checked each item out. About 10 minutes later I finally checked out. I was walking on the soup isle when I tripped over my hand a Tumbled to the floor, thinking I'd find no sine of help there was a tall dapper young man who pealed me off the floor as I grabbed on to his shoulders I quickly asked for his named as he responded as "Ted" I quickly gave him a Phat smooch on the cheek as he continued and found the perfect can of clam chowder soup for me! This boy is a hero, later that day I enjoyed my soup and took a fat nasty dump. Best grocery shopping experience in a while. Me and my granddaughter will be in there soon to see Ted! read more
