Don't waste your time nor your money! Stay AWAY from this LivingSocial "deal". I made a 2pm appointment, I will admit I was 20 minutes late. I should've called and rescheduled but I was pressed for time because my inspection was up in June. I arrived, spoke with the person who checked me in, he asked if I made an appointment, I admitted I was late but at first he couldn't locate my appointment (first red flag). He said he could squeeze me in (strange considering appointments are an hour long and I was 20 minutes late, meaning I should still have 40 minutes left on my appointment) but since I was late I wasn't going to complain. (Second red flag) I asked how long the inspection would take, he said 30 minutes. I was still hopeful this process wouldn't be a long one. An hour later, my car is still sitting in the same spot I left it. I asked for an eta and the desk clerk said the tech would move my car in five minutes. I decide to walk to Wendy's. I return, my car is on the lift and there's men walking around the garage. I go inside and eat, during this time I notice a pizza man walk in with an order and think nothing of it. 4pm I walk out and notice the tires on my drivers side are on the ground, my car is still on the lift and there is no one in the garage (third red flag). The desk clerk is waiting on hold for another customer, I interject and ask for another eta. The clerk says he'll check on it. I walk back outside and record my vehicle, my tires on the ground and the lack of people in the garage. At this point I'm angry, I've wasted over two hours here for an appointment that should've taken 30 minutes by the clerks own admission. My car sat in a lot for an hour and on a lift for more time unattended while the entire garage team seemed to be on lunch. Simultaneously, WHAT?! When I asked for my vehicle, they tell me I need brakes and that I've failed my inspection (final flag). My 2017 vehicle, (that I purchased brand new and which still has less than 17k miles) has had NO WARNINGS! They held my car HOSTAGE for over two hours to tell me less than an hour before they closed on the last day they do inspections for the month of June that I need new brakes?! For a service that took all of 30 minutes?! So they could tie my hands and force my service. I told them to put my tires on and release my car. I'm going somewhere else. It gets even better, he tries to CHARGE me! Bruh I gave you my voucher when I walked in, you failed my car, fine but now you try to DOUBLE CHARGE ME? Asking me for money when you've ALREADY redeemed my voucher? Seriously?! They claim to be a women friendly service shop, but I understand why they have to drive their business with LivingSocial vouchers. Don't waste your money but definitely DON'T waste your time with these people who'll lift your car up and go on lunch and give you a quote with labor on it! I left and IMMEDIATELY went to PepBoys (where I had my dad meet me) where my car passed inspection and I received an updated inspection sticker for my vehicle. This Meineke failed my vehicle and tried to double charge me and force service 4:28pm PepBoys ran the SAME inspection/test and passed my vehicle at 6pm read more

The past has taught me that getting your car repaired can be a very nerve racking, time consuming and expensive process. However, recently having visiting this Meineke has changed my opinion all together. I went in with an issue with my brakes and was given a detailed report on my entire vehicle that to free of cost !! The guys presented me with a detailed bill for my brakes and i was pleased to see that their pricing wasn't over-exaggerated compared to many others and any questions i had they were able to resolve for me clearly, all along the way making the process less nerve racking. All in all perhaps the most satisfying experience Ive had in a auto repair shop I appreciate the honesty and will be coming back as needed! PS: perhaps also the cleanest auto repair shop around !!! read more

I went in for an inspection. They told me I needed $800 worth of brake service. There was nothing wrong with my brakes. My car is only 2 years old and I hardly drive it. When I do I barely touch the brakes. This place is a ripoff! read more

Meineke in Baldwin really hooked me up!! They were the only place around here that were able to work on my sprinter. They gave me a free diagnosis and fixed my issue for cheap. This is a poorly run establishment that will take advantage of you if allowed. After having my car for 5 hours and calling 7 times, the staff failed to clearly communicate the issue with my car. It was not until I showed up at the store did I get any answers. Furthermore, they tried to charge me for parts I did not need. If I did not question their choices, I would have been charged $700 when I only needed a $150 part. read more

I've taken my vehicles here 3 times- two of the three times they had the opportunity to rip me off it they really wanted to- but guess what- they didn't - I was having what felt like transmission issues with my one vehicle- it was quickly diagnosed as not a transmission issue, but the last company who did an oil change on my car put in the wrong oil and it was making the car act oddly- oil change (which was super reasonable) fixed the issue. Recently picked up a new (to me) vehicle- something felt odd with the brakes- they took a look, called me up and told me the brakes and rotos are brand new and the noise is just some oxidation from the vehicle sitting a bit- solution, drive it- guess what- no more issue. My only complaint is that the manager is also one of the repair guys- so sometimes when you go there there's no one in the office- they need to have a buzzer installed on the front door so they can hear people coming in. read more

The price for the repair is fair. I like the feature of the inspection of my car with pics sent directly to my phone.Injust wish you had live tv in the waiting area. I will return.
