The Mastic location website says they're open until 6 pm. I arrived at 3:40 pm for an oil change. The cranky old guy tells me they close at 4 pm and stop doing oil changes at 3:30. Hopefully the employees there know that Meineke is turning away business. read more

I'm not a big review guy (had to post after reading the negative reviews), but I must say I have been here twice in last month (two different cars) and the service and professionalism has been top notch. The gentleman that helped me took the time to explain in detail what needed to be done and did the work immediately. Brought in my Honda today saw a sign for a $19.99 oil change. They told me it would be 45 minutes, but it didn't take that long. However, if you think I paid the $19.99, you'd be wrong. They said my car took special grade of oil (5W-20) and it does, but it's an older car and I'm on a budget, and I asked the mechanic to use a grade that qualifies for the special and he refused, so I had to cough up the extra $10. I should have been apprised of the charge in advance. I was not. 3 stars only for quick service. Not the nicest, not the rudest, otherwise 2 stars. read more

The old couple that own and run this place are very unpleasant people. Incredibly nasty and rude. They were very unprofessional and slow about doing business. Neither of them know much about cars at all and neither of them seems to know how to diagnose a car. Several times while I was there waiting the guy actually had to call up a "friend" to diagnose symptoms of other customers car. The people who run this shop have no idea what they're doing. I had to wait a half hour just for them to look at the car when I had an appointment. I was the only person in the office too. They treat you like you don't exist. They clearly do not care about their customers. If you decide to go to meineke please go to a different meineke location, you will regret coming to this one, it's a disaster. Im giving them two stars only because the guys in the shop did a good job and it was inexpensive. read more

I drove by today and A's I was passing by the sign out front said brakes 59.99. So I called to see if that applies to my 2014 Ford Explorer. After the the lady on the phone was rude to me and said that price wasn't for a newer vehicle I then asked okay what about for a 2007 Prius? She had said nope those pads are organic so it will be more. I had reminded the lady that the sign out front said brakes 59.99. Didn't say most vehicles or starting at. I had asked her if the price on the sign was for bicycle brakes and then i just hung up with her. She decided to call me back and hung up on me. Their is a major lack of professionalism coming from this place and also false advertising because of their sign with no description or explanation. read more

If I need anything they address it in a fast reasonable timely fashion. The guys in the back are even better and will explain if there is a issue and how they will fix to resolve the problem. The place can complete the job, but the aged couple that runs the business are very incompetent. I scheduled an appointment online for a state inspection, and John, the aged man, even emailed me to let me know of an approximate wait time -- one hour. Okay, fine. I thanked him for the heads up. On the date and time of my appointment, I walk in and let him know that I was the guy who had been emailing him. He denies there ever being a scheduled appointment or an exchange of emails. I was ready to present the emails as full evidence, and then he blabbers about the shoddy email system and tells me that the wait time is closer to two hours. Ultimately, I did not have anything else to do, so I stayed anyway. For those who are reading this review, however, I highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere. Also, be sure to check for cigarette butts under your hood, after leaving here. read more

Unbelieveably rude. As soon as I walked in I told the guy I wanted an inspection and he told me to fill out the paper work. I fill it out and I'm standing at the counter and the guy says nothing . Not even have a seat or can I have your keys NOTHING! So I sit down and another customer comes in and he's talking to the guy behind the register and I hear the guy tell him he has a few cars ahead of him. After hearing that I ask him if I should come back? Rudely he replies you can if you want , but if you come back you won't be next. And he continues on to say I'm next for an inspection but if I come back he can't guarantee that I'm going to be next. Which makes sense but the attitude was so unnecessary and I literally live around the block I would've left my car and just walked , not took the whole car. Then another guy comes In and they begin talking about his truck and this old man got an attitude with him as well and then the guy tells him hey listen no reason to get all upset and the guy behind the counter says sorry I don't mean to be that way. I'm not sure what his problem is but he has very poor customer service skills. And he didn't even give me a wait time. Telling me I'm next for inspection doesn't mean I'm next because he clearly has other cars in front of me. Completely useless. What a prick! Also they do not get the online appointments nor do they take appointments. It's first come first serve. read more

Started out good. Had an exhaust pipe leak they fixed pretty quickly. I'll take a look at it when I fix the brake line later. Which leads me to the not so good experience. I asked them to check out my brakes as there is a problem with them that needs fixing badly. They said it would be an hour before they could bring the car back in the bay to check it out. I said no problem. Several hours went by and one of the guys said he was sorry for taking so long but they were short staffed with two mechanics. He was polite and the same guy who did the exhaust earlier in the day. Once again I said no problem I understand and continued to wait. Eventually they brought the vehicle in and did something although at this point I couldn't say what, but one thing for sure is they did not do a proper evaluation of the brakes. They quoted me around $460. Said it was founded a new master cylinder, calipers and break fluid bleed/ fill. Because of the cost I couldn't have the job done -at least not then. Btw they no matter what couldn't do it that day although they had the entire day to prepare. Anyway I get home and due to the way the car hood was closed it was apparent they had never opened the hood to look at the master cylinder and check the brake fluid. It was low or perhaps completely empty. So like I would have expected their mechanics to do. I added brake fluid. Guess what? It resolved the problem. However only temporary, but what it revealed was the problem is a leaky brake line. Truth be told. I am very disappointed. I wanted to continue to do business with them in part because my late father used to go there and actually brought me there with him. Total bummer. I hope they did better by my father. He was a good man. Unfortunately they failed to provide the service and do the job they agreed to. I'd be very careful if you choose to do business with them. The treatment I got indicates to me they don't want my business. Beware of false diagnostics and false quotes and being charged erroneously. I do not recommend this place for any reason. They lack integrity. read more

I took my 2003 Hyundai Elantra there because it was loud and my mechanic told me it was the flex pipe, he said it should run 150. I went there and they took me in reasonably quickly and it came in at exactly 150. I had them do it and now the car is quiet. The waiting area could be a little nicer though. read more
