My husband dropped off our Nissan rogue two days ago, when he dropped the car off he explained what was going on with the car, first he was told that it was spark plugs, my husband was like the car is stalling why would it be spark plugs, then my husband had to tell them to clean the fuel injectors because that's were the problem is not spark plugs, so they change the spark plugs and clean the fuel injectors for a price of $520!! We wait a whole day with no contact from them so we decide to contact them and when he did we were told that after completing the spark plugs and fuel injectors cleaned the problem was still there!! and now my husband is pissed!! So we wait 4 hours and still no call back so we call again and now we are told that he had to take everything apart and really do his job and now he sees what my husbands been saying all along!! But now since they have had our car for 3 days now, they want to charge over $2,000 dollars adding what we did not ask them to do!! Please don't go here we should have read the reviews first before coming do this business they will over charge you and complete jobs on your car that you never asked them to do!! read more

Very few places I can say I walk in and trust who I am talking to in regards to my car, these guys I trust like family. Shane Leon was awesome, I came in with my daughter, in desperate need of an oil change, I had my own filter and oil. I actually left a competitor due to very concerning behavior where I had planned my oil change. Not only did Shane make time for me in-between already scheduled appointments but he had me there in 30 minutes. Him and the other Shane both took really great care of us cause when I mean I was desperate I pretty much had no oil in my car and I was 13,000 miles since my last oil change (9 months). I finally got the money and everything was closing. They were quick and efficient they even completed a mini inspection confirming some concerns I had. I caked for an estimate for exhaust work. I got an estimate of $200. with an assurance it would not go over $250. over the phone. I made an appointment. I showed up and the work was performed - Took One hour and Forty minutes. They couldn't finish the job because the ran out of gas for the welder. I was charged $466. That's $290. per hour. ***AVOID AT ALL COSTS*** took Jeep Cherokee in for AC repair. Was told would be done same day as parts were on hand. Zero follow up until I showed up the next day to find the car completed. Air was blowing hard (not cold) prior to repair. Following the repair, the air blowed weaker than pre-repair and the check engine light was on. Service Manager told my daughter he would be back in 30 minutes to discuss, I had her leave after he never showed 2 hours later. I took the car back the next day at 9 AM. The Service Manager told me he would follow up today, it's 5:51 PM and once again zero follow up and they still have the car. My daughter's boyfriend had his brakes for a Ford Escape repaired there. A day after picking the car up, while driving home at night, the tire came off of the car, slammed against a wall and came back and damaged the door. Thank God he wasn't injured but when the car was taken back, the Service Manager denied any responsibility. The lack of sound quality work, zero follow up, at risk of further damage to life or personal property is why I give this place a "0" and highly recommend avoiding this shop for the safety and well-being of self and loved ones. I called and they told me the diagnosis for my A/C unit was free, I went there and I had to go buy a hose to drain the gas due they could not check it with that type of gas, and when I did it, they told me it was $256 for the diagnosis because they have to use gas. They should say that before anything. read more

Very disappointing experience. Our car broke down and was brought to this company by our insurance, and I can assure you I will never allow that again. Every person we spoke to gave us different issues that needed to be fixed, and charged us thousands of dollars for repairs that didn't even fix our vehicles issues. I will admit they technically got it running again, but when we brought it back in a week later to let them know if there were any issues with their repairs, all of the sudden there was at least $1100 worth of work they just happened find that needed to be addressed, and that didn't even address the issues we needed to pass emissions. The staff when we brought it back was ridiculously rude blaring tik tok and interrupting my wife as she was trying to express her concerns to the staff was terrible. Came to Phoenix to visit family and I'm newly moved to AZ as well so I'm not familiar with any local mechanics or anything, I just found this shop via google. What brought me to the shop was that I bought a car through a private seller who wanted to "guarantee" the car was in til top shape and they just fixed "everything". Now I'm not a mechanic but have been raised to be able to recognize things wrong with vehicles and have been taught to fix things on my own, so once I test drove it I already knew what majority was needing to be done because the car sounded like a damn plane (meaning a wheel bearing was jacked up). Took it to Meineke as soon as they opened Friday morning for their full inspection service letting Carlos know I think there's a wheel bearing issue and also wanting to check my battery life. My vehicle was assessed and I noticed they take photos and do recommendations online! THANK GOD A PLACE MORE TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED! I am a visual person and I love descriptions. That's when I realized the leaks the car had and any other possible future things I may want to bring the car in. Carlos brought me out, he handed me an estimate for what I was worried about, IT WAS THE WHEEL BEARING! But never once did he make me feel pressured to get any other work done right away which I appreciated, because I hate feeling pressured to say okay. So I asked him about the leaks and other things I was interested in and THANKFULLY I DID! My oil leak was awful, one of my tires was bald on the inside if this wasn't a Honda Accord and a car I know is reliable and more affordable to fix up I would've turned around and sold it. PROS: *Great work *Test drive to make sure everything they've worked on is up to par *No peer pressuring to get other work done *Very nice people *Price Match Cons: *Customer Service lacks on receiving a call back regarding updates on my car *Although my car needed a good amount of work done, I was there at 7:30am, I was told I'd get my car by the end of their day which was 6pm, but I didn't. Place is great. Not many times have I gone to an auto shop where they didn't try to upsell me. Matter of fact, I went in for a variety of fluids and wasnt sure if I needed front pads. They actually told me I replaced on of the fluids last year and that my pads were fine so I didn't need to do them. My car also is a bit finicky when turning the key due to the Big O Tires on Warner and 48th st messing up my ignition (and tried to charge me for it before I fixed it myself), and they had no problem letting me start the car each time they needed it. I have been taking my vehicle here for years and they have always been good to me. I mainly work with Carlos but Andy was super helpful the last time my car was in there. So I have been having an issue with my vehicle so Carlos said to bring it in that day. I had no appointment but he personally got working on my car when I arrived. He spent hours of his time (he's usually in the lobby answering phone and taking care of in person customers) trying to figure out the issue with my car. They did a full inspection and though they could pinpoint the exact issue they did discover what another shop didn't only a few weeks earlier when I had an oil change. I needed a new battery, and had a coolant leak. Thank goodness I had brought my car in to these guys or I may have ended up stranded sooner than later. Anyway... Carlos spent all his time and when I asked how much I owed him he said "nothing". Wow that's good stuff there. I brought my car back a few days later for all the work that needed to be done. Andy was working and like Carlos very cool guy, easy to talk to, no bullshit games. As a single female I always worry I am going to be taken advantage of when I get my car serviced but not here. I told the person I contacted that it has the original factory spare tire but it's dry rotted. I told him the tire that I wish to purchase, and he said despite Toyotas recommendation we should double check. That sounded reasonable but I should have mentioned that I just had surgery a couple days ago and I'm in a full leg cast. I hobbled outside with him to double check the tire. When we got outside he directed me to lay down on the 105°+ asphalt, working around my leg cast, crawl under the van, and doublecheck myself. Because it was so hot he then walked away and told me to come inside and let him know what I found. Irritated, I laid on a blanket that I had, worked around my leg cast, and crawled underneath the vehicle. After confirming the size from the tire, which matched the manufactures recommendation, I got back in my vehicle and drove away never to return to Meinicke again.. read more

If you want to spend 5 to 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS to NOT solve your check engine light issue go see Ernie at Meineke, he's your guy for sure. ONE star is way to high of a rating but it's the worst you can leave so I'll have to live with it. I took my Ford F-750 to that shop multiple times over the course of a year or so. To say they are clueless Mechanics at Meineke would be the understatement of the century. They know nothing and guess at everything and charge thousands of dollars and you drive away with the same problem you brought the vehicle in for. You bring it back to them at a future date and it's wash, rinse repeat. On my last visit to them they told me I needed an intake manifold gasket for about $2,100 and I said fine, do it. After they did it, they told me I needed a couple diesel injectors for about another $1,500 and that's when I knew for sure they were totally full of crap because I had just had all 8 of them replaced at another shop in Las Vegas. Ernie said no you didn't because it's not on your CARFAX report. I produced the receipt proving it and he didn't know WTF to even say. What Mechanic even uses a Carfax report to try and diagnose a problem anyway? A CROOK that's who! He just looks at a Carfax maintenance history and says to himself yea I can tell him he needs this and this and that because it don't look like anyone else has ever soaked him for it yet. So, at that point I decided to pick up my truck from them and take it to Sanderson Ford. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot and the intake manifold gasket blew again so $2,200 lasted maybe 50 feet! Once I got the truck to Sanderson and they diagnosed the problem it turned out that 2 of the cylinders had little to no compression. Reccomendation was a new engine. Good thing I didn't replace those couple injectors or that would have been another $1,500 worth of total guess work down the toilet. The above only describes my last time I had the truck in there and don't include all the lies I caught them red handed in. Like for example, Ernie would tell me the code scanner said xxxxxx then 10 minutes later you walk out and talk to the mechanic working on the truck and he says no, we don't even have a scanner that will work on your truck at all. The three or four times I had my truck at this shop were equally as bad. Finally I said enough is enough. I would drive my truck straight to a junk yard before I would ever give them another penny to try and fix anyone of my cars or trucks. That second opinion stated the reason my truck would not start was because it needed a new starter. The engine had NOT seized up. They have no idea what their doing. Took my car in for a routine Oil change without an appointment. Dropped my car off and i received an automated text an hour later or so with the inspection report. I thought it was very thorough and appreciated being able to see pictures of their inspection. It showed that I also needed to replace the air filter and gave me the option to add that additional service via mobile. This Meineke location took advantage of a sad situation, did not listen to what I described as the problem, failed to diagnose a serious issue, and didn't perform services as agreed. They charged be me over $1,500 despite their acknowledged failures, leaving me out of that money with a vehicle that can only be sold for junk. After my father died suddenly on Christmas, I was left with his 1997 Ford Aerostar van that he'd let fall into disrepair. The vehicle did not feel safe to drive, as the engine died at stoplights, the check engine light was on, and the vehicle felt like it was lurching or lunging forward when I first started the car, but not after it had been going on the freeway. I took the vehicle into this Meineke on Chandler Blvd, and Brandon, who worked at the front desk, listened to me describe the problems listed above. I said that I wanted to get the vehicle safe to drive for a few weeks. Brandon apparently didn't like the word "lurching" that I used to describe the problem, because he said it was the engine "surging." He hadn't looked at the vehicle at all, but said a surging engine would cause that jerking motion I demonstrated feeling when I drove the car. I paid ~$100 for a diagnostic service after having dropped the van off on either January 2 after the New Years' holiday, and was helpfully referred to a rental car place across the street at a discounted price so I'd have a vehicle in the meantime. It took them a while to look at the car, but Brandon called me on the phone and said that to fix the problems, I'd need to pay about $1,500 to fix the intake manifold, change the spark plugs, and do some other work. That was a lot of money to spend on an old van, but it seemed like I could sell a generally working van on CL for about $1,000, so I agreed to do this. I needed a van to be able to transport items from my dad's house to Goodwill, etc., as this would be better for the job than a rental car, and I only needed it for a few weeks. They didn't fix the van for several days, as I was told they had difficulty finding a new intake manifold for that vehicle, but I picked it up on Sunday after they said they'd given it a test drive and the issues described had been fixed.I drove the car about a mile back to the place where I was staying, and didn't immediately notice any changes, although the van's engine didn't feel like it was dying. On Monday, however, I noticed right away that morning that the car was still lurching - but I needed to get where I was going to several appointments, so I left things alone and tried to gather more data. On Tuesday, the problem was still there, of course, so I called Brandon to report that things still hadn't been fixed. I still needed a vehicle all day for several days, as I had a jam-packed schedule trying to settle my dad's estate and get his house cleaned out. Brandon said that old cars often would run the engine fast when first starting up, and that this engine surging was causing the lurching behavior. I told him my frustration that he kept saying "surging" - the problem was that the car was *lurching* and jerking. So he agreed that they'd look at the car on Saturday morning. I brought the van in again in last Saturday, January 13, first thing in the morning, and the car still was obviously lurching. I had a mechanic do a test-drive with me so he, too, could feel what was happening with the vehicle. I was given an estimate of $0.00 to fix the problem, which was finally described accurately on the estimate form as "lurching." Well, after having it all day, Brandon then called me back and said the issue was that the rear brakes were having trouble, but that he didn't know how much it would cost to fix the problem unless he took apart the brakes, which then would obligate him to repair the problem. I said that the problem had not been fixed the first time, and that this should have been included in the $1,500 I paid. He said that "there are no guarantees in this industry" and that he was not going to fix the problem for no money. I said that I was willing to be flexible with him, but I needed to know how much things would cost ahead of time, as I was not willing to be out another $1000+ dollars for repairs. He refused to give even a ballpark estimate for repairs, which, again should have been done the first time. He acknowledged that they didn't catch the problem on the first inspection, but said that my repair goal was to fix only the major issues and get the car to the point where it was safe to drive. Well, I disagree that there are no guarantees in this industry; if you agree to fix given problems for a certain amount of money, then you need to honor that agreement. Fixing the brakes is also a safety issue, so that argument doesn't fly either. Shame on Chandler Blvd Meineke for not doing these repairs as promised and taking advantage of me in a bad situation! I was just in this Chandler Boulevard at Meinicke location and I was getting a muffler replacement and resonator delete with new exhaust tips, and when I showed up to pick up my car after they said it was done the resonator delete did not happen and he said that I never told him to cut out the resonator, what I'm getting at is they do not do what they say they are going to do. It was not quality work the pipe bends were uneven and one was hanging lower than the other and it could've been done more professionally. read more

They messed up my alignment and had to bring it back. They messed up the alignment again. They messed up a transmission flush had to take it back. That's alright I'll let it pass, ( I should have stopped going there at that point) the final strike, they also messed up my tailgate latch which they charged me almost $200 to fix. Worst part is you did not put a new latch in. You jerry rigged the old latch with some tape and it broke again the next day. They also scratched the paint on the tailgate. I took it to truck access plus and they put a steel latch in and fixed the lock for $90... REED your customer service sucks. I gave you multiple chances to not screw stuff up. You are shady and so is the entire shop. The guy talks a mile a minute on the phone and is all messed up. He won't call you to pick up your vehicle until 15 minutes before the shop closes. I have to call REED to get an update! General public: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They robbed me of a lot of money instead of a refund they offer warranty. Why? So I can keep coming back and you guys screw up the work over and over.?! read more

I'd watch these guys carefully. While visiting Phoenix from out of state, I dropped my car off for an oil change. When I picked it up they told me the brakes were dangerously worn and that I shouldn't run the risk of returning home with the brakes in that condition. I asked for a bid on that work and it was well north of $1,000. I simply was unable to pay that and thought I'd make it home, not having noticed any brake issues. When I returned home I took the car to my local mechanic, showed him the paperwork declaring the brakes in serious need of replacing. He pulled the wheels off and guess what: the brakes were fine. I've since put 2000 miles on the vehicle and the brakes are still fine. Businesses that prey on people they deem as old or suckers are simply despicable. Had they told muy mother the same thing, she would have panicked and had the work done. I wonder if they would have even done the work in that case. So, just watch these dudes. Get a second opinion. Went in for an oil change. Waited in the lobby for 30-40 mins. Technician came back and said we can't give you an oil change because the hood latch is broken. Wanted to charge me $152/hr to figure out how to fix the issue. I get that the techs need to get paid but $152/hr to fix a broken latch is absolutely ridiculous. I used to love going to Meineke at another Phoenix location but this one completely ruined my experience with them. I will not be returning to this location. read more
