I took my Honda for AC repair & was so pleased with the price & repair . They recommended some future repairs but I was not pressured.

Absolutely Horrible!! this place was recommended by another reputable mechanic that didn't work on Hyundai. They started our service on 11/4/25 and could not finish it due to some 3rd party that needed to put a update in the computer. We paid for this service on the day in Nov. and as I am writing this today we still dint have a refund and they continue to dodge our phone calls. I have called Daniel several times for GM Tim and asked for his boss's number to try and escalate this. They're horrible, worst customer service I have ever experienced. Daniel told me he would see what he could do today if he has time because he's busy and has deadlines to meet by end of day. I reminded him my deadline is 4 months old. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY;RE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE AFTER THE SALE IS TERRIBLE. Trust me if I could have given negative stars they would have gotten the maximum. read more

Called and asked for a quote on a simple shock replacement on my dodge if I had my own parts. Service writer told me to bring the car up there in order to get a quote? ok... Drove their to show my car, waited 35minutes to be told it would cost me $1500. I asked how long would it take possibly, Mechanic stated allday and next morning. Do not use this place.. My previous visit they did not instal the brake caliper bracket correctly. 2 weeks after the repair it fell out and consequently took the hydraulic line with it ----- no brakes. I was lucky to avoid serious injury with that little surprise... So I was dumb enough to give them 1 more chance. They took 1.5 days to replace an oil pressure switch.. The communication was very bad. The vehicle was with them for over 1/2 a day before I called to see the status. ( key item -- no update from them) They had not ordered the part yet. After my call they ordered the part.. Part is available at any auto parts store .. They texted me at 5:30 on day 1 that my vehicle would not be completed.. I received the text as I was entering their parking lot to pickup the vehicle. Day 2 -- vehicle was supposed to be completed by 11:00 AM. Vehicle was completed at 1:00 PM no reason was given. 1.5 days to do the job -- really?? Also the part costs $50 at AutoZone. They charged $146 for the part. read more

Check engine light came on. Took car to Elite but they couldn't figure out issue. Reset light and told to come back if light came back on. Light came back on so took it in, same result. Couldn't quite figure it out, reset light, told to come back. Came back a 3rd time, same result. So took it to dealer who diagnosed it as a transmission valve problem (transmission was shifting hard when check engine light was on) & they fixed the issue. However, while at Elite one of the times, they had taken the battery cover off and forgot to replace it. I went back in there about 5 or 6 times to see if they had found it or got a replacement for me. Each time they said "not yet, we'll let you know". Not once did they ever contact me. It wasn't even an expensive part. Wasn't the easiest part to source but was available on line (I searched with one of the employees on their computer and we found one - employee said they would let the manager know). I had previous work done there and had no issues but this one simple thing showed me that if something went wrong, I couldn't trust them to make it right. For that reason alone, I won't go back there and cannot recommend them. read more

Completely incompetent. Do not bring your vehicle here if you want an honest opinion and work!!! I brought in a vehicle I was looking to buy for a pre-purchase inspection, they gave me a list of items that needed to be done on the vehicle. They were small items, so I went ahead with the purchase. Biggest mistake of my life. Elite Auto Repair shares the blame with the seller. When I test drove the vehicle it looked great, no lights on, sounded wonderful! After I signed the contract and paid a ton of money (which I know now was wayyyy over the value of the vehicle) I get into my car, that Elite Auto Repair did a inspection on, and the engine light is on; the engine is making a ticking noise. Well, I take it to another shop to get a second opinion and so on etc... My question is, what is the pre-purchase inspection for if not to take a vehicle to a mechanic to make sure the vehicle is good? Come to find out, there are several big problems with the vehicle not just the engine. Pretty much, to fix the vehicle it would cost about x3 the value of the vehicle. Elite Auto Repair could have saved me thousands and several sleepless nights if they would have done their job correctly and extensively. Well, I guess in this world some people think it's ok to take advantage of females especially single moms/women. read more

We took the car for an oil change, took us almost three hours waiting for them to finish and they forgot to put the engine cover back which it was unnecessary to take off the first place and when we called to ask about it they just told us to buy another one ! I completely regret not checking the reviews before taking my car to this shop. My car was overheating and I thought it needed a water pump replacement. However, after 7 days without any updates, I had to call them to find out what was going on. To my surprise, they said my car needed additional work that would cost around $3913, with my extended warranty only covering $2300. I had to cover the remaining balance, which I never approved for any work beyond the water pump replacement. I had a conversation with the manager and made it clear that I wouldn't pay for any extra costs or labor that wasn't part of the original plan. Additionally, I found out that the expected cost to change a water pump on repal.com is between $629 to $749. The manager insisted on charging me the highest amount, and then my insurance would only pay $533 plus $100 for labor, leaving me to cover the difference. I thought that would be the end of it. This went on for 3 weeks before and now it's been an additional week as the insurance company hasn't paid their portion yet despite my assurances that they will. I wanted to settle my balance so I could retrieve my car, but now my car is being kept until the insurance company pays their share. They are holding my car hostage! I'm Frustrating and very unhappy! read more

I do not recommend this shop. We went in to get our AC checked because it was blowing warm. They charged us over $400 for a diagnostic and a "recharge" of the system, apparently refilling the freon. But the investment had no effect. Still blowing warm. They said there was no leak, but they claimed that the car would need $4000+ of repairs to get the AC to work. We then took the car a few days later to simple straightforward and honest repair shop -- a $50 diagnostic found absolutely nothing wrong with the car, no freon leaks; nothing that would warrant $4000 investment. But they found the freon was only at 26%. And after a simple refill of the freon the AC is now working fine. Strange? read more

I have had them change my Alternator 1st thing is I was way overcharged. then they wouldn't honor a coupon on a 1300.00 repair job the coupon was for 125.00. and then if that wasn't enough I called back 2 times and they put me on hold forever until I just hung up. in my mind these people are not good people that you can trust. "Do Not Take Your Car to Elite Auto Repair Tempe" I had my car towed there because they are listed as A approved auto mechanic for a Maricopa County grant! well they was only asked to repair about 1k of work and then all sudde my car needed 4k to be fixed. After I asked to repair only what I had the car brought in was new radiator and flush they said they didn't want to but Jayden would speak to manager about it an they NEVER CALLED ME AND STOLE MY CAR! Within a month said they tried to contact me when they DID NOT AND THEY put it as abandoned and sold it! I had just been waiting for them to contact me because they always said they would call me back and never did. they had me pegged from the start knowing I want going to be able to afford it but I just wanted my car returned to me because they were hiking the price up! now they can't even give me any proof of them trying to contact me! it's so unfair I work hard to buy a car on a part time job something I could get to work and school due to their business practice I had to drop out of school and lost my whole goal to get my cdl license. read more

Made an appointment for an alignment check on short notice. I wanted to verify because I have some tire rub in the passenger side wheel well. Took the vehicle over to Elite within 30 minutes. Within five minutes of arrival, they had the vehicle in the shop and were making an assessment. Technician determined everything was within specification, and there were no issues with the alignment. No charge to check on the alignment. Will definitely be taking my vehicles back here if I need something that is out of my wheelhouse for repair. read more

I will never bring my cars here ever again. Dropped my van off on Thursday morning. Didn't get it back till the following Wednesday. During those 6 days, I didn't receive ONE phone call or update. I always had to call. And ask what the next step was. When arrived to pick up my van, it was dirty with fingerprints all over it. Door panel not put back on AND the original problem was not fixed. White glove service, notable for extremely long warranty on labor and parts. Staff are quick, very empathic and thorough. Mike in particular gave the best customer service I've gotten from any business all year, hands down. (Thank you Mike!) Lobby is perfectly clean and cool, and there are even old school video games and toys for kids (and kids at heart). If you're willing (and able) to pay more for a level of service that matches or exceeds dealership service centers, this is the shop for you. If I didn't have an urgent need for service I would've gone elsewhere to a shop with lower prices. read more

Go to the dealer if you have a Lincoln. I took my vehicle here due to the engine light coming on. After spending $1800 on coils, spark plugs, multiple diagnostics and a new battery the light stayed on. In fact, after being "serviced' my Lincoln had both the engine and now the wrench light on. I called and was told "That's normal." Long story short i ended up having my car towed to the dealer. Now I needed a new engine and transmission. Had my Lincoln been diagnosed correctlly from the start I wouldn't have needed to pay an additional $10k. Stay away from Elite!! read more

I towed my car to the shop on Saturday morning because my could not start. They said they would let me know what wrong by end of the day. I did not hear from them. I called them many time on Monday, then Tuesday. They could not give me a result, by late Tuesday, they sent me a text message to tell me what wrong and cost to fix it. The cost is too high ($1686) - to replace a starter on 2008 BMW 528i. I refused to fix it. They charged me $189 for diagnostic and $20.79 - total $211.47 after tax. I am not sure if they know how to fix BMW or not - why it took too long to figure out the problem. read more

It was very easy to set up an appointment over the phone! I had a basic inspection & oil change done and they found that my brake pads were worn down. They provided me with a quote (with a fair price) and immediately got to work when I gave the go. I think the whole thing took between 3-4 hours. They kindly offered me a ride home while they serviced the car but I chose to stay and wait it out in their waiting area, which had spacious couches, a large TV with cable, and a mini fridge with lots of drinks. The wait didn't feel long at all, it was very comfortable! They did a great job with my car. I could feel the difference in my brakes right away. ***DO NOT GO THERE*** After dropping off my car for an oil change one day and picking it up at the end of the day, nothing was done and they simply told me that they "did not have any time to service my car" (even though they scheduled an appointment for me the day before!). I made another appointment for the next day and took it in again. They took the whole day to do a simple/basic oil change. But that's not it! When I picked up my car, it was severely crashed/damaged (SEE PICTURES). They were supposed to contact me the following day to follow up on the incident. The shop never called me; instead I called multiple times never being able to reach the manager (Tim) because "he was too busy to take or make any phone calls" (this shop's customer service and communication is horrible!). Since they were not accepting liability or even responding to any of my requests, I called the Police Department and my insurance. My insurance ended up repairing the damages (which total $1,934.42). I had to pay my deductible while my insurance paid the rest. After almost two months of battling, spending a lot of time/energy on the case, and getting ready to file a lawsuit, I was reimbursed the deductible that I paid out-of-pocket, which only covers a quarter of the total cost of the repairs. ELITE AUTO REPAIR IS A FRAUD! I WON'T EVEN RECOMMEND THIS AUTO SHOP TO MY WORST ENEMY! read more

Absolutely the worst place that I've been to spent a total of $1500 and two trips there the first time I went they told me that my water pulley was busted and then I needed a new engine gasket and the parts and labor for that would be $1289 the second time I went. I had something going on with my bolts and I can't even remember what the other thing was that they told me was wrong, but I warned them that my car was struggling to start and that I do not believe that that was what was causing it not to start. They still charged me $300 for that service when I went to go pick up my car both times the check engine light was on and now my car can no longer start. I will never be going back here again and I highly recommend no one else goes here either. It's almost like they were running a scam, didn't want to admit any faults. You're better off getting a new car then letting them work on it due to how much they will try to up charge you. Absolutely terrible service. read more

I support small businesses so I will not make this review too negative. I took my SUV in for a oil and filter change recently. It's on older vehicle, over 70,000 miles so I expected there to be a few things to address. After the oil change, you get to the awkward part of the where, oh BTW, here is a list of things that are wrong with your car, do you want us to fix them, and you have one minute to decide. On the list was steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and new battery. I knew I had just recently get my battery replaced a few months earlier so I asked if they had any test info as to why my battery needed to be replaced. The guy went back into the garage and handed me a little receipt with numbers on it that I couldn't understand. No explanation given as to why my 3-month old battery needed to be replaced. As for the other proof for the steering fluid, brake fluid, and transmission fluid, I was not given a compelling reason as to why they needed to be changed, whether it was the color was bad or it is recommended to change it every x miles. Other garages will show you a full report and give you recommendations along side of what was found. As for my battery, I asked my neighbor who used to be a mechanic and he tested it and said it was fine. Furthermore, the AC Delco batteries have a very generous warranty and I should be able to get it replaced for free wherever I bought in within the next few years. Nice enough people here and there are some pretty good deals in the coupons they send out, but I'm not sure I would get my car serviced here regularly. read more

They were participating in an free oil change maintenance plan I received when I got my current vehicle at a dealership last year, so I went and got a synthetic oil change (and paid the difference). Store was clean and full of interesting things to see (they even had a tabletop video arcade machine). The staff was courteous and professional. The oil change itself was fine, but I'm knocking off one star because their technician forgot to reset the oil change indicator (not a big deal; he was cool about it). DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! i went in for a light beam, the next day my car shut down, the check engine light came on & was told repairs would be $7500+. my car was perfectly fine before taking it here only because it was close to my house. I had just gotten it serviced at another location a few weeks before and the MPI didn't come back with any concerns. strangely enough when I told them I couldn't afford 7500 they miraculously found cheaper parts and were able to bring the price down to $5k. I picked my car up after reading the reviews & noticed now my breaks were off, i had to press them all the way to come to a stop. If I had the money to sue this shop I would read more

This Auto repair shop is the most honest, kind and reputable I've found here in Arizona. No hidden costs. Everything is explained up front. I recently brought my car in after having received estimates much higher for parts that I was told had to be replaced. Upon their inspection, parts could be repaired without having to replaced for a fraction of the price. They also made a couple of suggestions that were unnoticed previously. I took my old vehicle to have it checked out. Tim was incredibly nice, and took time to understand what I wanted. He called twice to keep me informed on the status of things, and where things were in the process. (He was hunting down difficult parts for me and getting information,etc.) Later I met Freddy who was super helpful and briefed me on what was the most important thing to address ~ err can we say cracked radiator? Oh is that important?I am not car savvy whatever.).He even popped the hood for my best friend and showed her the issue). She was smart enough to snap a picture to show me. The battery light was coming on for our Honda; however, the technicians were unable to discover the problem. All systems were checked and working properly. When I picked up the car my husband had dropped off, the light came on again. As I was still in the lot, the staff immediately came out to check it and discovered it was the key fob battery. They put in a new fob battery and I can drive without fear of getting stranded. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. Read before you visit. Went in with soft brakes and some routine things. the brakes lines needed to be bled. Then... The master cylinder was leaking and needed to be replaced.Then... They sent a bad master cylinder needed a second one. Then... Abs pump and system are bad and needed to be replaced. Older car so stopped work and having it checked before putting a lot of money in it. Not safe to drive at this point so arranged to have it towed.Then... Show up for towing the car is in the back with windows down and battery dead. Guy up front said they could help me push out for the tow truck. He did end up jumping it. So I paid 1K and my brakes are worse than when I went in and my battery is dead. Left grease handprints on it too. They did give me loaner car at no charge that was nice.
