This location only.. we refuse to go to Country Club location which we live by! We drive the 20 minutes just to come here! Cleanliness: the restaurant is always orderly, it is pretty busy during meal time rushes and they do get the tables and trash cleaned in a very timely manner!! The place is decorated nicely, the decorations on the wall are always kept clean. Service: it is always very friendly!! Orders are always correct! What are items we order from here often? Bean and cheese burrito, Campenchana, and Asada burrito just meat and guacamole w red salsa. This review is for campenchana. It's light, refreshing, lots of seafood served in a large glass. We come here for it often! It is served w crackers. Great meal for someone doing keto, skip the crackers!! It's a delicious summer treat when it's hot and you don't want heavy/greasy dish!! If I had to complain it would be that my preference is the tostada over crackers, BUT we don't complain, come here and eat it all the time!! read more

I have always loved the food at Mejia's on S Madera Ave! I went there last week and ordered the Taco, tostadas and enchilada plate! The food was horrible I ended up throwing my whole plate away! My carne asada tostada had sliced peppers in it, no beans and I'm not sure what the meat was! My taco also was not carne asada, and my enchiladas was just such a mess! I was so disappointed! I do have to say the female who took my order and cashed me out was very nice and she was very efficient! I been going to this restaurant since 2000. At the time I lived in Fresno and we would go there on way home from the north direction. Then I craved it during my 2nd pregnancy and my husband would go get me food as soon as my cravings hit. Now we're in the Bay Area and up to this day we still stop by when we're in the area heading to eastern Madera Co or Fresno. I love their taquitos. read more

Been here about 4 times the past 6 weeks usually we have been in on Sunday's since they have opened up dine in most recent was 7/11/21. Food still taste delicious wish I could get my rice to come out the way they make there's here. They finally got rid of the styrofoam containers and are using plates and silverware. They currently only have one person working so if you go in when they are busy she does try her best to attend to you as fast as possible after all she has to seat you, clean the tables, take the orders and work he window & bring you your food and drinks. so hopefully they do find a new hire soon it is posted that they are looking for someone. So be patient. read more

I came here on a late lunch...as someone ate my lunch at work. Since I have not tried a lot of restaurants in Madera I was looking for forward to trying this place out. I have to say I am very impressed with this place. I came in about 1:15pm and this place had only two women dining in. I was not greeted nor was someone up front. So I waltz in and grabbed a menu. About a minute in the waitress came out to personally greet me and take my order but I was not ready yet. They have a variety of options for food that all sound and look appetizing. Lately I have been craving chicken enchiladas and got the chicken enchiladas plate which came with beans and rice with a salad. The woman who took my order was so friendly and even loved my racket looking nails. We had a good conversation and I think she was such a sweet Lady! I love great customer service and hospitality, they nailed it! Before I could sit down my order was ready. I could not wait to chow down on my lunch as it smelled so delicious! The chicken Enchiladas had onions and bell peppers which was seasoned and tasty. The sauce for the chicken Enchiladas was delicious. The beans and rice was delicious as well! Best Mexican food in Madera! I will definitely be back to try out more menu items and chicken enchiladas. Very affordable, friendly staff, quick and tasty food. I left feeling good and satisfied. I typically visit the area once a month. Recently, I happened upon this place & now I've dined here twice. Both experiences left me completely satisfied! The cocktail de Cameron is authentic and about as good as any restaurant I've tasted. The sauce/juice could be a little thicker for my taste, but all of the ingredients were fresh & plenty of good size shrimp! I've also had the Chile verde burrito, mojado style. Again, fresh ingredients, plenty of pork, and served at the correct temperature (all the cheese was melted). Service is fast, chips (warm) & salsa (fresh) & reasonably spicy. Took a chance on this hole in the wall looking place while stopping for gad on my drive back from Yosemite. It was a good choice.. Very nice lady was working there and gave me suggestions. Asada torta and Asada burrito. Both were excellent. The Asada "Loco" burrito was huge (think, the length of my forearm). Asada was delicious. Juicy and good seasoning. Will stop again. read more

One of my favorite spots in madera!!! We call it the "triangle restaurant" and I love to stop by here any chance I get. The location is a little dodgy but don't let that dissuade you from stopping in for some authentic Mexican food. I love going in and eating there. The chips and salsa are hella good! I wasn't sure about this place when I first walked in, but let me said this, I surely want to come back. I had the asada tacos and they come with guacamole and salsa at no extra cost. I've never been to Mexico but I think there tacos are the genuine article of what Mexican food this supposed to taste like. even the courtesy chips and salsa has a flavor that seems authentic to Mexican cooking. The thing I like about this place it's very quite n very relax the guy was very nice n friendly! Everything was good. Did a quick yelp as we we're approaching Madera and Mejia's looked appealing. We quickly decided what we wanted and the staff we're quick to take our order. The drinks arrived shortly along with comp chips and two different salsa's which we're both quite tasty. The beef taco was in a word delish! The taco shell was perfectly crunchy and the fillings plentiful. The chicken enchilada's we're as well very tasty. Home-made refries and rice we're a tasty accompaniment. And the price can't be beat! This is my favorite lunch spot in Madera. The food is very good. The burritos are monster size and filled with tons of meat. It comes with a small 1-oz cup of salsa which is also very good. Breakfast burritos, tostadas, also very tasty. The food is prepared fresh when ordered and they can put it out quickly! This is not a healthy restaurant, eat here sparingly but prepare to enjoy when you do! Downside? They struggle a bit with English, so if you call in, they may hang up on you. read more

I only had about 10 minutes to spare before I hit the freeway, I called this place and asked how fast they could have my floatas done, which are my favorite here, and they said don't worry we'll have them done by when you get here. As soon as I showed up, my food was ready. The service is eh okay, but there food is pretty good especially for fast food. This is a great place to eat- the food is authentic and homemade. The service is always prompt, Even during lunch time rush. Meals are average in price. The restaurant is NOT open on Mondays. This place is small and the parking is limited. The good thing is that the food makes up for those negatives. I ordered their taquitos and bean and cheese burrito. My friend got the carnitas tacos. Everything was great and the service was good. Their English is hard to understand at times but again this is real Mexican food. Everything is homemade and fresh. Be aware they close for the entire week of Christmas. This is one of those hole in the wall kinda places you would never think of trying but you should. read more
