They have several choices of meat and they load up the tacos pretty good so it's not like one of those things where you get what you pay for ... it's a decent tacos!! I came to Casa De Tacos Neza with my native Madera co worker who always likes to get tacos with me. We were both feeling adventurous than to go to El Tibu and she recommended this place. We arrived in the plaza which it is literally right next to La Esperanza Market. The parking lot was so full we both assumed this place was packed. My co worker asked the worker why it was packed and the worker said the tax place. When we entered the restaurant it was very empty and we had our choice to sit anywhere. The menu items looked great and I opted to go for the spicy shrimp with water on the side. We got complementary chips and salsa which was good but a little spicy. The food came out timely. I really enjoyed myself here. My spicy shrimp dish was delicious however it had the perfect amount of spice to it. The rice and beans were good as well as the corn tortillas. It was not the best Mexican food I had in Madera but it was good to give it a try. I honestly would prefer my other Mexican spots in Madera but it's always nice to give new places a shot. My co worker had the shrimp dish as well but not spicy and she enjoyed it too. Just and FYI, they mainly speak Spanish so I was glad to have my Spanish speaking co worker there with me as my Spanish needs improvement :) overall I had a pleasant experience here however I may not be back as nothing wowed me. We ordered 8 tacos: 4 asada, 2 Al pastor, and 2 carnitas. The asada was very plain, the sauce was interesting. Al pastor was pretty good. We also ordered a horchata that tasted very watered down. Also, when the waitress served the horchata, she was touching the straw and just put the straw into the cup for us. Pretty weird feeling seeing her do that. read more

This is actually a great place for tacos being a $1. The meats they have are asada, adobada, chicken, chorizo, carnitas and more like Birria and other plates but those are obviously a little more of a price. I'm going to be completely honest I thought they were going to be okay but they actually had a lot of flavor. They do skimp you on meat but you're paying a $1 a taco so I feel like it's a deal. I would of rated the place 5 stars but they do take a while. There was 3 people waiting before me and it took exactly 30 minutes to get my 4 tacos but other people orders were like 20+tacos but it's a deal so I see why. My friend and I were keeping a sharp eye out for food, preferably Mexican when we spied this little shack called Casa de Tacos Neza. Honestly, you really feel like you stepped across the border. It's a bit rough around the edges, but don't let that deter you because the food is so satisfying (ask them to make you their tangy guacamole with tons of cilantro) and their refried beans and rice are so good.
