On my end, I have an email in my sent folder that shows I confirmed. No bounce back or anything strange. The owner keeps insisting via text they never received a response from my email. How is this my fault as the potential new customer? On my end, it looks like I confirmed. The owner goes on about their intake process for customers but I'm a new customer so how would I know? This could be a misunderstanding but I felt like the owner was calling me a liar and I wasted my precious time on this business. When hair can cost upwards of $200, I'm not wasting my money on this business who has no customer service etiquette or respect for me. Unfortunately the system makes me leave - star.

The vibe is friendly and welcoming by any stylist as soon as you walk in the door. I've seen two stylists there and they are artists in their profession and their customer services is fantastic. The owners are wonderful, I have nothing but great things to say about them! They are friendly and make you feel like family from the start. Prices are comparable to other salons, but the service is bar none. They carry a great selection of products that I have switched to completely. They also have a wonderful shop called Filler Up in the back that provides a fantastic selection of environmentally friendly personal and home products.

I was genuinely excited about my appointment after reading so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, that was not my reality. I scheduled a highlight and a trim, but after sitting in the chair for over 4 hours, what I ended up with looked nothing like the reference photo I shared. Instead of blonde, my hair turned out an orangey color and took several washes with purple shampoo to look presentable in public. To make matters worse, the final bill was almost double the price of what I originally booked. Sherry recommended "babylights" without ever mentioning they were an additional charge. I was also charged a staggering $200 separately for toner that was only left on for about 10 minutes. I've been highlighting my hair blonde for 20 years and have never been charged for toner as a separate, premium line item. When I expressed my surprise at the pricing, she tried to gaslight me, insisting my hair looked "great" and telling me that since her pricing is on her website, I should have known how much it was. Her prices are posted nowhere in the salon, and I wasn't browsing her website while in the middle of the service. Maybe I'm naive but I think she should have communicated this better as I was a first time customer. Sherry seems like a nice person, she was kind and talkative during the appointment, I am just beyond disappointed with the lack of transparency and the final result of my hair.

He really took his time and made sure she was comfortable the whole time. My godmother has dementia, so doing her hair on her own is hard for her, and he was just absolutely fantastic with her. He made us laugh, kept things light, and really brightened her day. He also recommended a curl product that worked really well for her hair and made it easier for her to manage. It truly meant a lot to us. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does he has been doing hair for 10 years. We will definitely be coming back and requesting him again. I booked an appointment for a hair cut and a hair color. I was 15-18 mins late to my haircut portion so I was asked to wait 30 mins, which I accepted as I know I was late (I called ahead) . When I walked up and notified them though that I was checking in late for my appointment , the manager and some other girls were making comments and yelling "unacceptable" - Don't have a clue if they were about me , but I'd hope they're not that terrible to talk about clients like that - especially because I didn't complain about waiting - I said it was fine. When it was my time, I sat in Jennifer G's chair and I showed photos of my desired result: a soft ash brown and layers. Instead, I left with hair that is jet Black and looked nothing like what I requested and no layers. During the color process, I was left processing for so long that my scalp became itchy, tingling, and visibly red afterward. Jennifer looked busy with her closing duties, and chatting with her colleagues so I let her know I was feeling burning and she immediately washed me. As soon as we got back to the chair, I saw my JET BLACK hair. I'm not confrontational , so I slept on it and gave myself time to process the color change and the scalp reness.. When I brought up my concerns the next day, the only solution offered to me by the salon manager was a bleach wash, which I wasn't comfortable doing given the irritation and potential for further damage to my scalp and my hair health. OR to "wash my hair a few times and let it wash out" Though I don't see how "washing it out" will get JET BLACK to light ash brown. I'm extremely disappointed with both the result and the handling of the situation. If you're considering a major color service here, DON'T!! Just go elsewhere. . Unfortunately, I left with a color I didn't want and an irritated scalp , I wouldn't book with Jennifer G again. The salon itself is clean, the girls who work there are all friendly, and you can't go wrong with any of the hairstylists there. Ciara is my go-to and always will be while she's still local, but Mane + Skin is a solid spot for a more luxury cut and color where you'll leave feeling great and having healthy, gorgeous hair! Regardless of where I've lived, I've always made the drive down to see Painted Hair by Ciara specifically at this salon, because she does a phenomenal job every time. My hair looks and feels great after seeing her, she listens to what I ask for, and the colors the girls use LAST a long time. I can go 8-9 months after my appointment before it really starts to fade, and I can get away with my one-a-year treat to go see her in the Spring or Summer time. Definitely a top salon in the area where you can't really go wrong with any stylist!

I was a bit skeptical about much I was paying for them to do my hair but i loved it in the end. Hanna sat me down and took her time asking me exactly what I wanted( how I wanted my hair cut, color, and most importantly to me was cost). I've never dyed my hair and so I had no idea what cost were too high and fair and I had to put a lot of trust in Hanna but she was amazing! And the whole time she guided me through each steps of the process and made sure I was comfortable and the 4 hours of her and me together flew by(fyi. I'd make sure to bring a little snack or have some bananas or oranges they offer during ur breaks bc you'll need it ;) but in the end after drying and styling my hair, she showed me the final results and I was in love!!! I was so afraid of not liking it but Hanna really did me right and I would go back to her again, definitely!!! And so will my mother and any future friends who need a hair stylist!!! If you are ever thinking of going to this salon, I'd say do it! The shop is cute and everything is made from natural ingredients and every worker there is so nice!
