Omg you can do a half and half specialty pizza what!!! Amazing I had the Kosmic and the tye dye pizza! If you like basil the kosmic is so good. If you like Thai food the tye dye is great!

Honestly I don't really go out for pizza, but my friend wanted to try this place and the mushroom pizza was to die for. The mushroom/truffle-y flavor was soooo good. It's pretty oily but it's pizza. Came out really quick. I like the psychedelic vibes of the Resturant. It's located in a very convenient location. Free parking.

You can't walk past this place and not smell the fresh scent of pizza! I've been to a few other Mellow Mushroom locations but this one hit the spot. The staff was attentive, quick and super nice when it came to getting our orders in. The food tasted great and they even had a fun holiday special going on if you buy a $50 gift card you get an ornament. Would definitely come back soon!

Great location for baseball or a performance at DPAC. Come early before your event and relax with a drink and nibbles before.

Good service! Pizza is excellent. They did great getting g me in and out in time for my show at DPAC. Interior decor is cool. They also have a nice outdoor patio and screened in porch

Before an event at DPAC, my adult children and I decided on Mellow Mushroom for dinner. Birthday girl's choice. We split a med and a small (veggie and Holy Shiitake, respectively), and some beverages. We sat on the patio, which was just as loud as inside the regular restaurant. We could hardly hear ourselves catching up on what new adventures we had going on in our lives. Every surface is hard, and most are parallel, so there's absolutely no noise dampening, even with all the bodies seated around. It was a Saturday night, so the place was packed, but the servers and food runners did an admirable job of keeping folks fed and hydrated. The Holy Shiitake was for me, and the others split the veggie. (It's the hobbit in me - I love mushrooms!) It's shiitake mushrooms, a ton of garlic, white sauce (Ranch?), and shaved cheese. I needed a bit more salt, but it's a perfect storm of umami to me! No one complained or said anything at all about the garden pizza. It was onions, green peppers and tomatoes. MM's crust is pretty great. I had a Henderson's gin drop no that was, for all intents and purposes a riff on a White Linen. This is one of my favorite summer slammers, and the elderflower, gin, citrus and cucumber were perfectly balanced. I prefer my cakes a bit muddled, but otherwise, it was great. I used to meet here with a group of friends to share tech chats, but we had to stop due to the noise and no one being able to hear two seats away. That was over a decade ago, and I'm surprised they have done nothing to rectify the situation. A few soft wall coverings and some angled baffling would make a world of difference! (and get that fifth star!)

My colleagues and I visited this restaurant today for a team luncheon. We had reservations, so we were seated quickly upon arrival. There was a good bit of people in the restaurant as it was lunch time. This restaurant has adequate spacing between the tables, so it is not a cramped atmosphere. The server was personable and came by our table to get our drink orders immediately after we sat down. The server gave us sufficient time to look through the menu to decide what we wanted for lunch. There was one colleague that was running late and didn't show up until after we had already ordered. It took a little while to get the attention of a server to put the last order in. Additionally, the server never did bring an extra set of utensils to our table after our last colleague arrived. I ordered a chicken hoagie and others ordered steak hoagies and pizzas. We all enjoyed our entrées. The combination of the mushrooms and onions in my chicken hoagie made it quite tasty and flavorful, and the toasted bread remained firm. We enjoyed our team luncheon.

first time eating here, and i will say it's okay for the price. It was overpriced for how small the pizza is, and the crust is majority of the pizza. the actual taste was good but not worth how much i spent. There wasn't too much room to change the toppings unless you wanted to pay a lot. I would go back if it's for a social thing, not just to order out

I found us a table inside since it was a bit hot that day (there is also plenty of seating outside AND inside if you go downstairs). The table and floor were messy but someone quickly came to clean it for me. They called our names over the loudspeaker and my best friend went to go get our food. She got the MotherClucker. Our food was REALLY good. If you like Cobb salad, you will definitely like this one. The chicken was pan seared perfectly, the vinaigrette was perfectly tangy and the bleu cheese was especially excellent. My friend's chicken sandwich has SO MUCH chicken salad on it. Impressive. There was so many neat items to see in the place. The murals were great, there were some cute retail spaces, a coffee bar up front, a bar downstairs, and ice cream outside! Unfortunately my bestie and I had too much to talk about so we didn't check it out as much as I otherwise wood. I would definitely try this place again!

They make cookies, pastries, breads (pan loaf and hand-formed ones), soups, hand pies, and sandwiches. The variety is amazing. During the holiday season, they offer larger pies and have various seasonal goods to offer. But what's also wonderful is this bakery gives back to the community in many ways. During the height of the pandemic, they offered free bagged lunch to anyone who needed one. They also were (are?) part of the pilot project for Durham's guaranteed income. It looks to me that the owners/company are concerned about being good citizens of the community and that's a great thing. These days, so many companies get bought out by private equity companies. I hope this bakery continues to be locally owned and operated! (Also, generally this bakery isn't offering the very fancy European/European-ish style pastries which is fine by me. The prices are very reasonable, possibly in part because they aren't trying to make their baked goods a "high end" item. There are other good local bakeries that offer "high end" pastries, but they are also much less affordable and for my taste, too rich.)

They could not really give us an idea of when we would be sat and so we had to just kind of shuffle around to keep trying to be out of the way. It took about 15 minutes before a table finally opened up and we were able to sit. From there, the service continued to be slow. I know the staff - both servers and kitchen - were working hard. I don't blame them as much as it feels like they are understaffed and stretched thin. Overall, it took a while for us to get our food, and we were all hangry by the time we had food. The servers were running around so it took a while whenever we needed something or ran out of water. The food itself surprised me. I know the menu was small and curated but I was actually surprised how little variety there was. And I don't know if I would consider this a vegan/vegetarian friendly place anymore. While they do have dishes and options, it is minimal. I got the pork and mushroom dumplings, pork bao bun, onigiri, and the housemade belt noodles. Both the dumplings and belt noodles were coated in a chili oil that made them almost inedible. And I like spicy! But this was too much. My favorite was the onigiri. Overall, between wait, service, quality, and price, I do not think I will be back.
