Good selection of pizza and huge sizes! The ambiance is very Americana but it was extremely loud, especially when they have live music. When I went there was a man playing guitar and it was so loud I could barely hear my friends talking. It's usually very busy there and I usually have to wait for parties of four or more. But that also means it's a great place for pizza. I just wish it wasn't so loud. And the selection of shows they play on the televisions is not very good either. I love the mellow mushroom in evans, ga. When I come I normally get the philosopher pie pizza with its olive oil base that's different than the traditional red sauce pizza. The pizza dough is also amazingly tasty. The wait staff is also very friendly and everything comes out in a decent time expected for making pizza. read more

I am a regular patron of another Mellow Mushroom and was visiting the MM of Evans for the first time. I had never had MM's wings and decided to try them. They were not exactly what I expected. They were not crispy. They were actually a little soft, but maybe that was just the way MM makes them. I could have lived with the wings being different if that had been our only "surprise" for the evening. Unfortunately, it was not. My husband's philly cheese steak arrived at the table cold and 15 minutes before my food. And then when my calzone finally arrived, it was prepared wrong. After waiting another 15 minutes and with no one in sight to give me an update on my food, I flagged down another waitress and asked that she let my server know I wanted the check. When the check was brought to me, I told the waitress that the manager needed to know all the problems we encountered. I emphasized this twice. Don't you think a manager would have come by to speak with us? but no... no manager. The MM of Evans is not as good as the MM of Aiken or Sandy Springs. So long MM of Evans... read more

I'm from the west coast, so I had never had Mellow Mushroom prior to last night. My boyfriend and I called an ordered a pizza for pick up, and when we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the two young ladies up front. They asked us if we were picking up, and when we said yes, they said that we could do so at the bar. The blonde girl running the bar had a lot of people to tend to, but she still said hello to me as soon as I walked up, and quickly brought me our pizza and took our payment. We hardly had to wait at all, which was really surprising for how busy it was. So service was definitely on point. As for the actual pizza, it was delicious. We got a medium with half Kosmic Karma and half Gourmet White (I think thats what it was called? I may be wrong) but both types were amazing. Mellow Mushroom has definitely made a positive impression, and I will certainly be back. read more

Consistently delicious pizza. If I were to recommend anyone from back home a pizzeria it would be either of the Mellow Mushroom locations in the area. The pizza is miles above any of the other restaurants, if you can call them that, in the area and the service is always awesome. My only gripe would be that there is a set time in which you can order singular slices. Pizza for me is all about running in, grabbing a slice or two and being on my way. read more

We had another great meal last night. None of us ate pizza. The greek salads were fantastic. I had a steak and cheese sub. I made it black and blue and it was delicious. Of course I was starving at the time. We had very good service too. This is the most colorful one I've seen. It is in a new building that they built. Happy hour? What a joke! My husband and I purposefully went to Mellow Mushroom because we knew their happy hour started at 3. I ordered the house Merlot, thinking it was the $4 happy hour price, especially since I had ordered this before with no problem. I had a second glass of wine and we were billed$7.50 a glass! When we questioned it the waitress said there is no "house merlot" included in the happy hour. We paid the bill,and will never go to Mellow Mushroom again! Too many places we can pay less and get the same - or better - quality food. Too bad, MM! You just lost two long standing customers because of your silly greed! read more

I really like Mellow Mushroom, I really like the Augusta themed decor on the walls. I'm not a huge fan of their traditional tomato base, but their garlic and olive oil base is great!! They've got a good drink selection and plenty of TV's for game watching. Service isn't always the greatest, but that all depends on who you get. They also got a pretty good dessert menu as well. There is such a wide variety of delicious items on the menu, some of my favorites are the Kosmic Karma pizza, pretzels, veggie calzone and the enlightened spinach salad. I've eaten here with my husband three times now. It's the only Mellow Mushroom I've ever been to. The building is huge though compared to the one downtown. My husband has been in both locations in Augusta and agrees this one is much, much nicer. We get the garlic dough bites everytime, which are unique to this location's menu. So dang good! We usually also split a 14" pizza amongst ourselves. The first time we went there, we had their mashed potato (can't remember the specific name, but it's the only potato pizza) and it was wonderful!!! They're so creative and the flavors are unreal. The crust...don't get me started. It's PERFECT! The second time we went, we had half our pizza in the flavor Thai Dye and the other half in Bayou Bleu. I don't care for sausage or shrimp on pizza, or bleu cheese for that matter...but my husband loved this pizza. I took a bite and the bleu cheese flavor isn't overwhelming at all. It was tasty! I do have to say though that the Thai Dye is my 100% absolute flavor of any pizza I've tried at Mellow Mushroom. The cucumbers and sweet Thai chili sauce swirled really make the pizza stand out and it's so delicious. The third time we went, we got half the Philosopher's Pie and half the Buffalo Chicken pizza with ranch (you choose between ranch and bleu cheese). The Buffalo Chicken was pretty good for any pizza, but it was nothing compared to the Thai Dye, mashed potato, or Bayou Bleu. The Philosopher's Pie? I was grossed out by it and didn't find it tasted good at all. I'll totally return a million times over and try new pies, but the Thai Dye is sooooo good! Just stay away from the Philosopher's Pie lol. read more

Went there just last night. The place feels clean and we were seated right away since the place was half full. I like live music but the place is too small for the live music they had. They should consider acoustic only. It made it nearly impossible to have a decent conversation. The drinks came out quick however our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes and left us asking for someone to take our order. We had the Bayou pizza with shrimp and what was stated to be spicey blue cheese. The pizza was ok, shrimp well over cooked and there was definitely no bluecheese on the pizza. Since we had been there long enough already I wasnt going to make the issue that there was no blue cheese in the pizza. From the description of the pizza and the price we paid I was definitely expect something much better. This is definitely not a first choice when it comes to pizza in the area. Save a little money, get better service, with pizza that is at least as good by going up the street. read more

Tonight's visit to MM was perfect. I called late this afternoon to see if they could accommodate my sons soccer team for their end of the year banquet and without hesitation they said they would make it work. Myself as well as the team and their parents were greeted and treated so nicely. One can only imagine how chaotic dealing with 10 nine and ten year olds can be, they served us with a smile and were very willing to help with our every request!
