Do you want an extremely over priced pizza, and beer/drinks and have a long wait to be seated? Well, then this is for you. My family likes this place and I often get dragged into going. I have never been here where there wasnt a wait of some kind. Beer and drinks are expensive even for run of the mill domestic stuff never mind the foo foo hippy beers. I give it four stars because in spite of all the bad the pizza is delicious. Not a huge fan of the bathroom either its very close to the eating area and when the door is opened......lets just say sometimes its unpleasant. I've been giving all 5* reviews lately and it's not because I'm in a good mood, nor am I pregnant (or would that make all my reviews moody?). Maybe I am mellowing with age. Hehe. I briefly considered deducting a star for a change of pace, but I can't get self-righteous and jip these guys because they deserve a good review. Austin was the most awesome waiter I've had in years, he was so attentive, and though we had only waited about 10 minutes brought us out a free appetizer (we chose) which was surprising for a pizza place to care so much. Now, the salad was plain and uninteresting, but it was free, so I can't justifiably complain about it. The gluten free kosmic karma pizza was amazeballs, after a few years of barely edible gf crusts, this brought back all the college pizzas I drooled over and the euphoria is still hitting me in waves. My family and I are not much of a fan of this particular Mellow Mushroom location however we ARE a fan of Phoebe that is a server at this location, Unfortunately. The Mellow Mushroom in Atlanta, Vinnings, & Sandy Springs by far have much better customer service & they have more reliable service as well where as the Hiram mellow often gets orders wrong or forget items after waiting extremely long periods of time for a pizza order. My family also love where the ATL, Vinings, and Sandy springs locations are located. The three mellow locations above also have a more chill relaxed atmosphere where the look of misery & unhappiness with their place of work isn't readable thru their face masks. The servers here often cop attitudes over the tiniest things or when things are busy and they are overwhelmed they tend to take it out on the customers however we have never had this issue from Phoebe before she is the best server there in my opinion my best friend Brandon agrees. We absolutely love Mellow Mushroom and their artsy mellow vibe so we have tried dine in at pretty much all the mellows in GA & this particular location could use some work!! read more

The calzones aren't your ordinary calzones. They are twice the size of any other place I've been too. This was my first visit to this location but I frequent other locations. Needless to say the waitresses were all friendly. Even with food being made to order it took no time to get it out to us. I'll be back soon. read more

I've been here several times and each experience is less enjoyable than the one before. Today is the exclamation point on bad service. After waiting 40 minutes for the appetizer bites, I went to counter for an update on when we'll get our food. I was told it's coming they are busy and so food is late coming out. It was trivia night, so plan on extra customers and staff accordingly. It was another 10 minutes before we got the appetizer and then 25 more for our calzones. Food, atmosphere, and service were great! We had four adults and two children seated in a booth. The server promptly took our drink and appetizer order, and didn't rush us to order. The crayangles for the kids were awesome, and amused some of the adults as well. We had the bruschetta and cheesy bread, and finished them just in time for the pizza arrival. We ordered a large House Special, and wow was it awesome! Three of us have worked at pizza joints and appreciate the work that goes into a perfect pizza. It's difficult to put that many toppings on a pie and still have it look and taste good. It was loaded with meats and vegetables, spicy sauce, and still crispy on top and NOT SOGGY! This Mellow Mushroom provides everything you could ask for in a pizza joint. The first thing you notice walking in the door is the psychedelic vibe of the restaurant, which personally I can take it or leave it. It does do it successfully though, so kudos to them for that. The menu has a variety of foods to choose from, but you'll want to get a pizza. There are many different kinds of pre built pizzas, but you can design your own as well. I had the "Holy Shittake Pie", and it was out of this world. It hit bottom like a rock, so I ended up taking half the pie home for dinner later on. The food is pretty pricey, but if you're a pizza fan, you must try Mellow Mushroom. read more

I love good pizza, espeically local places that provide a twist with their options. This was the first place we ate when moving to Hiram, and it really made the transition seem promising. The place is lively and fun, with a huge selection of beer. The menu has so many options it took a while for us to decide. When the waiter said we could split a pizze even with speciality choices, we went with the Philosepher's Pie and the Thai Dye. I have never had curry chicken pizza, and I already want some more. I do love the weekend special for the family of $34.99 for a Large two topping, 4 drinks, garlic cheese bread and a salad. The only down side is they have paper straws. This is why they lost a star. Since it would take 20 minutes to make another, I accepted it as it was. Server said "I'll let the manager know." Apparently the manager didn't care enough to even apologize for the error. At least I was only charged for what they brought me and not for the missing toppings. A discount of some sort would've been great but a manager caring about the order screw up would've been enough for me. I have eaten at this restaurant and upon realizing that the service is awful, I've decided to just order take out. But it seems that they still can't get it right. This is the worse MM I have ever visited. To many people just standing around chatting. Seems to be full of teenage waiters. I usually call my order in and I try to stick to a salad when I do. This time my husband picked up what was suppose to be a large Greek salad with extra dressing. He was given the bag and his money was taken. When he gets home with this salad, I am appalled. It is romaine lettuce with Parmesan cheese shaving and bread pieces. I called and they had some lame excuse. Pay attention. You charged me $10 for a bag of romaine. I was so looking forward to the Greek salad as dinner and lunch for tomorrow but that was ruined. I'm done with this particular Mellow Mushroom.
