Prior to having him I just thought I would pick a few songs, play the wedding quiz game and call it good. I was so wrong. Once I got to see his presentation ideas I knew we were in the best hands. There were multiple parts of our wedding that the guest had never seen before and moved them to tears, laughter and the best party opener after a year of masks and social distancing. He knows the right way to do everything in his lane and he pretty much becomes your day of coordinator, or their huge helper. He helped us with our floor plan and he always kept us informed on what was going to happen next. It felt like the wedding was a production. A Grammy winning production at that. The moment I realized we had made the best decision for our wedding by hiring Tony was as I was getting ready the day of. It was about three hours before the wedding and I was getting my hair done and just mentioned to my wedding party "Oh crap I hope Tony is able to set up and doesn't get lost or anything." My maid of honor said "umm... he's been here for a while and I am pretty sure he is all set up." He adds absolutely 0 stress the day of the wedding! Tony is very professional and his ultimate goal is to be there for you and your partner as well as keeping everyone involved and to have everyone leave at night saying "That DJ is my new best friend." I had so many comments after the weeding saying it was the best wedding they had been to. My Grandma and my friends are still commenting on how great Tony was. How can I not be upset when I'm told I will get a full refund for how horrible the DJ experience was and get only half. Don't even get me started on how I called Pete and said hey I want to give some honest feedback because what appened at the wedding was not okay and I am met with sighs and zero empathy. Instead of "so sorry this happened, how can I help make things right?", it's "I bet the guests would tell you they had a GREAT time". Yeah Pete they had a GREAT time but won't stop talking about how ASS the DJ was. You'll think oh it couldn't have been THAT bad, but look at all the good reviews. Outdated and only talks about Pete. We were super excited because DJ Pete seemed reputable and he had great reviews but he last minute (literally a few days before the wedding) told us that DJ Troy would go instead. So many things went wrong with our sound. They claimed their computer died and that he had to use a back up and that's why things went wrong but here are just a few things: 1. There was a long silent pause between the processional and the bride walk in before he played the wrong music for the bride walking in. This was set 2 months in advance. He literally played the same music he played while everyone was sitting down. 2. The groom had a surprise song he wanted to sing and specifically asked for the instrumental in his notes. They didn't play the instrumental so the groom had to stop singing and go fix it but because they didn't have Spotify premium, an ad played for the entire reception to hear lol 3. The bride had a surprise dance with her dad. She made an MP3 and sent it to the DJ. He literally just had to play the entire song. He literally just had to press play. Halfway through the dance, the song cut back to a slow dance song and never went back to the MP3 file? 4. We asked for our baby slide show to be played on loop during reception. This was in a classic PPT file. Dj pete never claimed that it needed to be in a specific format but he blamed us saying it was wrong. Why didn't he mention this before in our last meeting? 5. Our last meeting was only made a few days before the wedding because we had to constantly follow up. Even then, he had an extremely old copy of our set list? On top of this, when we told DJ Pete what went wrong with DJ Troy, he got extremely defensive, accused us of screaming at him, and hung up multiple times on us before finally agreeing to refund us half of our money. To this day, he still takes no blame and instead blamed us for too many "last minute changes" (which were changes made before our final meeting which he already knew about, nothing was changed after our final meeting) and he blamed our wedding planner (who by the way we had asked her to make sure the set was right after the bride walking in song was wrong and she literally had to babysit the DJ and still, the songs were wrong or turned off randomly). Never once took accountability for any of the mistakes made which is all we really wanted - basically just an apology. I wanted to give DJ Pete the benefit of the doubt and I would never have written this review if he had actually owned up to the things that went wrong on our wedding day. I understand defending your employees, but if we're giving feedback and saying hey these things went wrong and we want to let you know what happened, don't get overly defensive and tell us we're wrong when you weren't even there? On top of that, don't hang up on your customers when they're extremely unsatisfied with your work. Extremely unprofessional and very rude. Would not recommend if you want the perfect wedding day.

There was a decibel limit at the wedding location and Matthew handled that limitation perfectly. He also did not hesitate to move his heavy equipment between floors so that the reception audio was handled just as professionally. He even willing stayed past the contracted hour without hesitation or complaining. I'm sure that he is a remarkable DJ; the only reason we did not have him "spinning records" is the decibel limitation. I would contract for his services again in a heartbeat; I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of audio setup and his professionalism.
