I see Summer for pedicures and eyebrow waxing. Summer does a beautiful job with my gel pedicure. She is very skilled and precise. I recently got eyebrow tinting. I love it. Summer mixed the perfect shade of dark brown for me, and she took her time getting the measurements of the eyebrows before she started applying the tint so the eyebrows looked natural and great afterwards. read more

What a disappointment! Over promise and under deliver! I've never had a bad experience here. I called asking if they had anyone who could do ombré nails. They said yes so I made an appointment and showed up ten minutes early. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they said they could do it. After they removed my old polish, they backpedaled and said they couldn't do it. Not only that, the gal had another appointment in 45 minutes so I couldn't even get the full pedicure experience. Melody Salon never disappoints. They offer friendly service and care at every visit. My nail tech Tim is the greatest! His gel nails never chip or break and look new even after a week of wear. The vibe is relaxing with chill music, new massage chairs and clean restrooms. I recommend getting a luxury spa pedicure. The hot rock calf massage and hot paraffin wax does a great job of circulating blood flow and relieving tension in your feet. Classic regular manicure for $20 bucks! I arrived at about 1 PM on a Saturday and was out by 2 PM! They definitely push for more expensive services like gel but it wasn't what i was looking for. Super fast service but honestly really strange vibes- unsure it it was a language barrier but half way though the manicure- after cutting and filing- she asked me to pay first and she would do a better job... After I said I wanted to pay at the end she quickly started painting my nails before I could even put my headphones back in. She stopped trying to talk to me at all which was fine but just really awkward. The other thing was that I asked for a rounded almond and she refused to do so saying she knows how to do it better. So the top of my nails are flat and they don't match lol. She also filed them pretty hard on the sides and it was pretty painful at some points. At the end she seemed very displeased with me when I paid with card. Not sure if i would return. read more

I walked into the salon for a well needed pedicure. Summer was the delightful woman who took care of me. She was kind, easy to talk to and she did an amazing job. I found Melody Nails about four years ago, and Summer was the one who greeted me so kindly and made me feel comfortable right away. Summer has been doing my nails and toes ever since, and I always trust her work--especially on my toes, since I deal with an ingrown nail. She takes great care and always does an amazing job. Not only was the salon's customer service terrible, but the salon technician cut me twice and walked away while I was sitting there bleeding. A different technician had to come over to assist me while my original technician took her impromptu break. Eventually, my original technician returned only to proceed with cutting back my big toenail so far that it caused a painful infected ingrown toenail. Nail tech proceeded to tell me "It's fine " and he can still give me acrylics I have exactly 2 brains cells and they lmk "THATS NOT WHAT YOU DO"... I literally ask "what is that? Am I okay? What are the home remedies?" He gives me a gel polish and tells me to come back with n 2 weeks. THANK GOD FOR AI because I'm just not completely trusting of men and i upload a pic and ask wtf?! I learn how that this is what a bacteria infection looks like, putting nail polish over it is NOT helpful, and the steps I actually NEED to do so I don't get a goddamn green ass thumb. Not trying to put this nail salon outta business, but they saw my bacteria thumb and said "That's fine. Come back and give us more money." In THIS economy?! In TRUMP's America?! Got a mani/pedi yesterday. Mani by Lena was great as usual but pedi by another gal was painful (my big toe hurts and is still bleeding). I said ow a couple of times. No apolgy instead the technician said loudly that it was my fault, that my toe was dirty and that I was moving around too much. No apology, no discount and insulting in front of every customer. I called ahead and they told me I could get a dip manicure at a specific time. I arrived and it was obvious that all of the technicians were mid-stream with their customers. I was told to wait 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, the male technician started my service. The whole purpose of dip is to wrap to remove to avoid drilling it all off (like acrylic). When this guy started drilling, I reminded him it was dip. He understood. Once I realized he wasn't just removing the top coat but was grinding into my nails, I asked if he planned on wrapping. He said no. Ugh. I couldn't leave with partially removed product so I stuck it out. Almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment, I had a new dip manicure. It lasted 2 days before starting to chip and peel. NEVER AGAIN THERE. read more

While there is one particular lady who consistently does an outstanding job and truly deserves a five-star rating for her skills, my overall visit left much to be desired. It's apparent why the place is often empty; they didn't remove my cuticles properly, which is a basic expectation at a nail salon. Additionally, the technicians cut my nails into various uneven shapes, which was disappointing and unprofessional. They didn't seem to take into account the natural shape of my fingers and toes, leading to an inconsistent and unflattering look. Moreover, I was misled about the pricing. They initially quoted me one price, but when it came time to settle the bill, they added on additional small charges that I hadn't anticipated. It felt like they were trying to take shortcuts, and unfortunately, this resulted in a very sloppy job overall. I left feeling unsatisfied with my pedicure. I left in the middle of the section and paid for the full price. I think they need it. read more

We had a great experience here! I called at 11:20 to see if they had time for a gel removal. They said come on in. When I walked in there were 4 techs there and and their last client had just left. They were able to fit me in for a gel manicure in addition to the removal. My dad and fiancé came to sit with me and they were able to get a pedicure and manicure as well! We were all out within 45 min but the service was FANTASTIC. Best gel manicure I've had in years. They are thin, cover the whole nail, and the color is exactly what I asked for. Each of the services came with a relaxing massage. Will definitely be back the next time we're in Sac. Edited to say- they opened fresh packages of tools, wore masks, and spaced the clients out. My sister and I walked in here the other day. When we walked in it immediately felt not right. They looked at us like they were surprised to see us there and they were yelling at each other and the lady we were talking to came up to us and she looked really nervous and really scared. She whispered that we'd have to come back later as if she was hiding it from the man that worked here.
