Called to asked what my options were after I spilled water on my Mac. They let me know it would be diagnosed and then potentially sent out for repairs, but when I arrived, a woman at the front told me my only option is to have it sent out (without anyone looking at it)...for...wait for it...a whopping $850! Today, I went in to have my iPhone battery replaced. After the most recent update, it was no longer holding it's charge as long as it used to so I wanted to get it replaced. It took about a couple of hours and when I came back to retrieve it, I noticed that the thumbprint feature was no longer working. So, I brought it back and after a little back and forth with the guy at the counter and the tech in the back, someone else came out from the back to hear me out which I really appreciated. I felt like I was finally being heard and not accused of it possibly being my fault. I explained that I've never had an issue with the thumbprint feature and that it worked perfectly fine when I brought it in and now it doesn't work after the battery was replaced. He said not to worry, that it was going to be taken care of free of charge and to come back in an hour. I came back and all was good. THE BEST Apple Genius Bar experience I have ever had!!! Not only is the entire staff absolutely phenomenal and patient, but they also have great music playing as you wait! Their owner has the cutest pup, and they both happened to be headed out, the day I came in. I needed my old laptop wiped clean for my daughter, and somehow got permanently locked, in the attempt to do it on my own...per Apple's "step by step" instructions (insert eye roll here!). The tech that helped me was very patient as I scrambled to speak to Costco to have some sort of serial number sent to me on my purchase receipt (which btw they DO NOT DO...a serial number is an Apple receipt thing). Somehow I was able to get into the laptop but it wasn't allowing the tech or I to wipe it. Fast forward 2.5 hrs later, I had to set up an Apple chat. The chat agent and a call from an agent that was supposed to call but never did, was useless. I had another appointment elsewhere so the tech told me to come back on Friday and he'd take a look at it when I had more time. I arrived on Friday and spoke to Andrew again, and another gentleman, and a couple of the gals at the front desk, and had a blast as I waited for them to do their tech magic. They were able to wipe it and allowed me to stay and set it up for my daughter in case any issues occurred during the process. I will NEVER go back to an Apple Store again! Made an appointment thru the apple website .Came in on a Thursday I was having issues with the space bar on my macbook pro (2016) I initially went to the apple website and from there I got redirected to melrose Mac which is an authorized dealer/repair shop .thankfully it got repaired for free because it is a well know on going issue with their faulty butterfly keyboard system and therefore they're replacing the whole top case (whole keyboard)for free on models ranging from 2015-2019 .very professional business I got my laptop back the following Tuesday fast with no hassle . read more

As a small business, we believe in helping other small businesses. I've decided to go with Melrose Mac in Burbank and purchase another Mac to our business, (about $2700.00) 60 days ago. this first computer was a lemon, didn't work, sent it back to them they had it for a full week, got it back, and still not working. I've been told ill get a new computer and it will take 10-14 days. 3 weeks after, I called to check the status of the computer and I've been told they'll going to let me know by the end of the day. the whole week after I've been calling and they keep saying "sorry we are busy we will call you back". Today, 60 days after I've asked to speak to the manager again and finally I got him on the phone, the manager started screaming at me that he is a sick person and he spends lots of time in hospitals and it non of my business that he is sick?!?!?! WHAT??????? I've never asked about his health, never questioned anything of that and I have the phone record to prove that, he suddenly took all his frustration of him been like me and hang of the phone in my face!!!! if you are sick you should stay home and not get mad at your customers. All I did is wait for 60 days very patient when I could order the same computer at Apple and get is in two days. I purchased a new iPhone at my local AT&T and less than a week into owning it I was having major issues. Since it's an Apple Product I immediately went to the nearest Apple Store. Less than a day after Apple fix the glitch, I was experiencing another issue. To my dismay I couldn't get into an Apple Store for two days, which would have left me phone-less. Just as I was about to have a major break down an Apple Rep suggested I try MelroseMac, they were open early, had an available appointment and they were certified to work on Apple Products. Desperate for anyone to get me back up and running I headed to MelroseMac. As soon as I entered the store I was greeted and told someone would be with me shortly. In the short period it took for an Apple specialist to assist me I noticed the store was spotless, and had that new appliance smell. About 2mins after walking through the door Vicky showed up to offer her assistance. I explain to her that I'd just purchased my phone, I'd been to Apple the day before and on the phone with Apple all morning. I expressed my frustration and emphasized how important it was to have my phone working for business purposes; I also told her I wasn't looking to leave MelroseMac to go to the Apple Store again. Vicky listen to my complaint and concerns patiently and assured me that she would be able to assist me. After about 10mins Vicky return with my iPhone up and running. She then gave me some insight on what may be causing my software problems and suggestions on what to do if it happened again. Needed a hard drive, and the specific one I wanted was out of stock on Amazon. I didn't have time to go to the Apple store, so I decided to try Melrose Mac for the first time. Went in. Spoke with the knowledgable sales person, went over what I needed. They didn't have it in stock but if I ordered it, he said they'd get it in 1-2 days. I paid, and he assured me he'd call when the item arrived. I asked for an email instead, as I knew I'd be running around a lot over the next few days, and he said that wouldn't be a problem. Well, I called and asked to speak with the sales person late the next day. He didn't call back. So I called the day after -- twice. He didn't call back. I spoke with reception and was told the item hadn't arrived anyway, but it should be in the following day. Next day, I called around lunch. And yes, the item was in. That's good. But the sales person not returning THREE calls? Unacceptable. And no, I never did get the email informing me the item had arrived. Store was nice, all was well aside from the awful follow-up from the sales guy. Would I give them another chance? Sure, if the circumstances line up right. But as busy as the Apple store gets, I've always had employees there follow up on their promises and return calls when I leave a message. So Melrose Mac did not make a particularly good impression on me on my first visit. Didn't suck, but wasn't great. read more

Apple estimated that my computer would arrive in about a couple weeks, which was much too late as I was starting a new freelance job. Sandy, the owner, responded right away and guided me in the right direction. She was able to recommend me a better model than the one I initially thought I needed, one that was closer to my work computer that I had previously borrowed. I did purchase a cable which they made for me on the spot. Yes they made it on the spot. Unfortunately it had the wrong connector so i went back the next day. When i walked in they remembered me and said hi and asked me how the cable worked out for me. When i told them it had the wrong connector on one end they did not argue they refunded my money and after looking at the cable that was broken that i was trying to replace they took that cable and fixed it for me free of charge. I brought in my 2018 MacBook Pro that had a busted spacebar. The team told me that it almost $1k to replace the keyboard because of the computer design & recommended that I consider replacing the computer. Because they're factory certified, there was no other option through their service. I appreciate their honesty, but since I have 15", my computer was $1800+ new, & still had plenty of good life. I can't believe I have to replace a $2k computer after 2-3 years- thats absurd. Our planet is in pain & doesn't need another piece of good electronics in the landfill. I told them what I needed to have done, gave the model, year, and serial number and was told yes they could do it and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival the technician took one look at the computer and said "Sorry we can't help you here." What?! Frustrating because I drove 40 minutes to get there to be turned away.
