Thanks to loco 4 tech, I'm able to play my games again, I recently bought a new heat sink for my pc and installed it, and when I tried to boot it up, it was a black screen, I had no idea what the problem was, I took it to numerous people, but none of them could fix the problem, until I brought it to loco 4 tech, they fixed it in no time, and only charged 70 bucks! I'm very computer illiterate so when my work computer stopped working, I was definitely tripping out. I called up loco and was able to have them diagnose my computer same day, right away. Andrew and Theresa took care of me and explained what was going on. Turned out that something happened to the hard drive and they were able to fix the problem fairly quickly and for a reasonable price. The only issue was That we all prematurely thought everything from the old hard drive had been recovered when in fact, only about 1% of it had been recovered. That's probably my fault though as i should have either checked before leaving or told them exactly how much crap i had on the drive. Regardless, customer service is great and I wouldn't hesitate going back for computer issues. Still need to go pick up the old hard drive but other than that, i hope I never have to go back! read more

Changed out the DVD-rom in my desktop, couldn't get it to reboot. Tried a number of things but it was late, I was tired, so I put it to sleep and brought it to Andrew the next morning. While we were at the counter inspecting it he realized I had accidentally unplugged the hard drive. Duh. Word of warning - don't attempt computer repairs when you're half asleep, lol. Then we chatted for a while about things I could do to upgrade my computer experience. Amazingly, he reused to let me pay him, saying he "didn't do anything." I wish I could review Loco 4 Tech even higher. I've used them for problems with my custom PC on multiple occasions. All the employees are extremely personable and knowledgeable. They feel like friends almost immediately. One of my computer problems was quite advanced and there was no easy solution. The owners worked with me with several-times a day updates for days until the problem was fixed, and there was no additional charge even though they had to spend more time on it than anticipated. This place is INCREDIBLE. The couple working there are so incredibly nice and realistic. I looked for a few places online to fix my 1TB external hard drive (my drive continuously said "not accessible" and "need to format"). I requested a quote from them and I got a quick response. They said they can fix my hard drive for $65!!! I already requested a quote from other tech places- the prices were in the hundreds. The people here don't wave high prices in your faces or try to sell you anything. There weren't any gimmicks or tricks they were trying to pull on me which really put me at ease, I was afraid I was going to spend like $300. BUT they spoke to me honestly and truthfully which I appreciated, so I gave them my external hard drive. Anyways, fast forward to three days later and I get a call saying my external hard drive needs to have physical work done on it and they, unfortunately, can't do much at that point. Theresa (the owner) then recommended me a place in Studio City and told me how much I might spend at that shop and what I should look for. They also told me if the prices were too steep that I can just save up money and bring in my drive whenever into the Studio City shop. I'm a broke college student so I guess my family pictures are gonna have to wait a little before I can have them restored. They then told me that I didn't have to pay since they couldn't do much for my hard drive. In the end, I paid nothing but got incredible and realistic information- AND MORE IMPORTANTLY peace of mind. So yes I didn't get anything truly, 100% fixed, but I also didn't pay a crazy consultation fee and I DID get super helpful information. Please be aware when having your computers repaired at this location to block all your user IDs and passwords. I had 2 laptops serviced recently a business and a personal one. Unfortunatley I unknowningly left everything open and available to be stolen. When I checked out I was asked if I had chase quick pay to pay the fee for the repairs. I typically use venmo but they were not set up with venmo. The wife (not sure of her name) saw me add their info on my chase quick pay and I paid for my repairs. A few weeks later I get a call and email notice (see email from Chase) that a suspicious transaction has been blocked. It was a chase quick pay payment of $4100 to Loco 4 Tech. Thank goodness it was blocked. I called to notify loco 4 tech they were very upset and were obvisously not going to admit any wrong doing. Lesson learned block everything. For what is worth the repairs tonthe laptop were done to my satisfaction but there is clearly a break in their security and you will and can be hacked. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I can't rate these guys high enough. Had a problem with my 2012 Mac Pro - it was one of those 'could be a range of things' problems and it being a mac, hard to diagnose. I took it down to Andrew, he went through the machine piece by piece, gave me options to problem solve while keeping the cost down. All up he spent quite a bit of time on it. In the end, once we identified the problem (MB!), it was going to be a pricey fix so I elected to buy a new machine and trade off the old one for parts. i thought my 10 year old Dell desktop was done. I couldn't see anything on the screen. I called Loco 4 Tech and the woman said if I bring it in, they will try to diagnose while I waited. The next day, I took my computer to their place. Andrew was very knowledgeable and friendly. He determined that my video card had gone bad and that if I connected my monitor directly to the built-in port, instead of the video card, I don't need any further repairs. All I needed was a $6 cable to connect the monitor to the CPU directly. I also had a loud noise coming from the computer - as if the hard drive was about to break down. Andrew said it was because all the vents were clogged due to excessive dust. No sales pitch, no pressure, and definitely no false diagnoses to sell unnecessary service. I was running Windows XP on that computer which I wanted to upgrade. And I wanted some backup solution since the computer contained old tax data from past many years. Andrew installed Windows 7 for $85 and some sort of backup software for $25. He charged me $25 to copy all my files from the computer to the external HDD which I provided. He said the computer will be ready for pickup the next day. He called me the next day and asked me if I can pick up the following day instead ... an example of good communication. He even asked me what peripherals I was using with this computer so he can download the drivers for me, which he did. Good service. Honest people. Reasonable prices. What more can I ask for! I came here for a hardware Mac repair; being a previous Dell fanatic Mac was an intimidating new animal for me; after having many issues with my new laptop and being utterly frustrated with Apple's lack of customer service I stumbled onto Loco for Tech when I was driving back from a business meeting. I decided to stop in and give it a try - not expecting much besides another overly quoted price tag for a problem that I didn't understand. When I came in my experience was the opposite of my pessimistic expectation. Where to start. The owners/techs of this place are amazing. Not only are they extremely personable and friendly, boy do they know their stuff. Needed to recover a lot of data (about a terabyte) from a non functional hard drive. Not only did these guys get my stuff copied out and onto my computer, they did in in exceptional time. Cannot recommend this little tech/gaming lounge/ business center enough.
