I am not sure why this place is called Mel's online because I didn't see a sign that said Mel's. Pretty much an incredible place, batting cages, laser tag, go carts, mini golf, driving range and a restaurant for seafood. We went during Spookie World so there wasn't all of these options available. They have lights all over the place so my understanding is that they are open until midnight. The biggest complaint that I would have is that half of the batting cages didn't work, so if there is a decent number of people that want to use the batting cages which there always is then there is a wait. Some of the cars seem a little slow, especially the Dunkin Donuts car which is very easy to pass. Laser tag was only open until 6 PM which i can't understand given that everything outside is open until midnight. read more

Nice enough place, and seems well maintained. My Grandkids wanted to drive the Karts, so we went to Mels... but as the kids were under the solo ride height requirement, Mels requires an adult in the Kart...but after token purchase we discovered that only the adult was allowed to drive the Kart. Not much fun for the Grandkids as riders...We left early. Perhaps older /larger kids would appreciate this attraction more. read more

$65 for an all day/all access pass. It is very expensive but compared to the 1 ride on the go karts for $8.50, I guess it's a deal. spent about 5 hours hitting baseballs and golf balls, driving go carts, and laser maze. Perfect for my boys, ages 10 and 12, but again, a lot of money. read more

We went here on a weekday and were able to start our mini-golf game right away. There are two course - an easy and a hard one - which is a nice feature. We probably should have chosen the easy course. The hard one isn't impossible, we're just really bad at mini-golf. Its a fun course, with water features (one of which my sister almost fell into) and hazards. There's also go carts, batting cages, an arcade and a driving range. We only tried the mini-golf, though. It was a little pricey, but we had a fun time, so it was worth it. Obviously hungry after exerting ourselves so much we also got some Gifford's ice cream. The portions are monstrous. Not that I'm complaining, but the small is anything but. It looks more like a traditional large, so if you're not that hungry try a kiddie cone. read more

I cannot adequately express what an awesome time my kids had at Mel's one day this past Summer.It was a full day of constant activity and excitement. The kids especially loved the go karts and the laser tag. We had a delicious lunch at Woodman's and then back to the park for more fun. I'd definitely recommend Mel's-- something to do for every family member. read more

We just returned from a round of mini golf at Mel's Funway Park. Today was Opening Day for the season, and according to their Facebook posting: "Its a beautiful sunny Saturday here at Mels, perfect day for some outdoor fun. Time to shake off those winter blues and start enjoying spring. We have all attractions up and running until 7pm tonight. Hope to see you all here." Evidently, "up and running" is a fairly flexible term. First, the attendant couldn't figure out how to work the credit card machine, and the person she called to assist her couldn't figure it out, either. We were told we could just go play, and someone would resolve the issue and we would settle up before we left. We were handed 4 clubs, one of which was quite bent. The course itself was in horrible condition. There were dead leaves all over the greens, the surrounds hadn't been groomed, the water feature was not working, many of the handrails needed wood sanded or replaced, and the carpets are in less-than-stellar condition. Again, one would think "up and running" would mean something other than "hey, the weather's nice, so whatever....". So, after 18 VERY boring holes of mini-golf, we were advised that the machine was fixed and we'd been charged $29 dollars. Yes, full price, for the absolutely-not-up-and-running experience. And the kicker? The Ladies' Room had basically been unlocked, period - it was filthy, and the soap and towel dispensers were not working. I had to jump into the Men's Room to wash my hands. Though to the attendant's credit, she had the sense to apologize for the condition of the bathroom. Overall, we are exceptionally disappointed with Mel's. How can they claim "all attractions are up and running", without having groomed the grounds or done maintenance on the structures, without the water feature working, and without a functioning Ladies' Room? The park itself is very fun, I thoroughly enjoy the mini golf, the ice cream is really good, but the restaurant is the problem. The food is pretty good, but the service is terrible. We came in after a corn maze very hot and thirsty. All we ordered was 3 michalub ultras and one pure leaf iced tea, and it took them ten minutes to get it to us. You could probably finish mini golfing before the drinks come. read more

Great place for kids! First time visiting and had a wonderful time - we will be back. Mini-golf is the best around - great fun. Two courses. We chose the "difficult" one and it was a lot of fun. It wasn't too crowded for a Sunday afternoon. We then heard the go carts - decided to give it a try. $8 per ride. Deal of the century! Loved every minute of it. The track is a long, the ride is reasonably long and the teenagers all loved it. Well run and very friendly staff. We saw many in the restaurant and enjoying icecream. We didn't try it this time but will next time. They also have a huge batting cage area and driving range. Something for everyone. Terrific place for the whole family. I read the last review that said avoid at all costs but that had to do with poor patronage not the place itself. We did not experience any inappropriate behavior. I guess you can get that anywhere. Came here with the kids. We had the NH fun pass which has a buy adult get kids free deal. We played mini-golf, go-karts the boys did the batting cages and we got ice cream it was a great fun filled family day. The mini golf had an easy course which was great with a 4 year old and nobody was on it ahead of us so no waiting and nobody behind us so we didn't have to worry about holding people up. The go karts were awesome and so much fun and the ice cream was delicious. The small was way to huge next time I would get a kiddie. My boyfriend got soft serve peanut butter ice cream so he was very excited about that. You never see that anywhere read more

Just recently visited Mel's on Sunday with the extended family. The Restaurant closed at 4:30 PM. which was quite perculiar considering that the park stays open until 10:00PM. Anyways, We all enjoyed the throwback Arcade games from the 80's in their family friendly Arcade/ Private Party area. My wife, our adult children, and two Grandsons really enjoyed the go carts, batting cages, and homemade Gifford's Ice cream there located in close proximity. My wife and I actually came back to Mel's after eating dinner at the 99 Restaurant close by. We had purchased All day pass Groupons, so we wanted to get our money's worth of fun! Prices for activities are a bit pricey, so a Groupon is a smart choice. You receive 3 go cart rides, and unlimited attempts at every other game offering there. Most, (if not all) of the staff at Mel's consist of employees under 25 years old. Some seem negligent in enforcing safety rules especially at the batting cages, Mini Golf, and Go Cart areas. In relation to other comparable amusement parks in general, Mel's Funway Park is a good choice for a Family outing, Picnic or celebration gathering. read more

Avoid at all cost. This is not a family amusement park. I was there with my girl friend and her two little nephew, one was 6 and the other is 11. There were many seniors in the park, grumpy ones to be exact. the whole time i can hear them talking behind my back with stuff like "why the f*** are kids doing here?" or "we should be in the front of the line, not those f""" kids". Like do senior need to swear in front of the kids. This is a amusement park for kids and families. They did not have any kids with them. Mel's should implement a rule that all attendees must have a kid under the age of 18 with them. Anyways, I'm writing this review is because of another reason. My girlfriend along with my nephew got hit by these old people just because she pass them during the race. She was parked still at the end of the ride and he was behind her, going full speed at her. Both my girlfriend and her nephew that was six was shaking up. The old guy after hitting her, got out the kart and then confronting her and me as to why we passed him. Like are u kidding me? this is a go kart ride, either u pass someone or someone is going to pass you,. Plus even if someone passed you, that doesn't me you can hit someone. After an argument, the old man wanted to fight me, and then the park staff rushed in and broke it up. He was told to leave the park, and we were left with a awful day, spending two ultimate pass and two fun pass, all went to waste. All the park staff said was whether we are okay. and that's about it, not even suggestion to give us a voucher for next time or something as they obviously knew my girlfriend was hurt and we were in the car for awhile. We wanted to call the police to press charges but we did not know the name of the old guy. My girlfriends neck and back hurt for a week, but now she is fine. I even lost my phone during this whole commotion. read more

Daughter went for end of year school trip and Mel's had booked another school as well. Lines were insane and as a result she only got 2 go cart rides despite the fact that she paid $40 dollars. Temps were near 90 so standing in line was grueling. Called Kristen and she was quite rude on the phone, but said she would look into it and call back. Never received a call and emails to her were ignored. Not professional in the least bit. My family has always enjoyed going to Mel's but we will no longer be doing so. read more
