I stopped by this place on a whim after seeing their creative flavors on a sign board outside. They have super cool Asian inspired flavors like coffee and corn, Thai tea Boba, etc and I was super excited to try it. They do allow samples, which is really nice, but the smallest size is a single scoop and you can only get one flavor, so I tried the coffee corn. The flavor was good and I could definitely taste the coffee and the corn, but the texture of the ice cream was definitely not the best. It had a slightly sandy texture and you could tell there was a ton of air churned into it so you don't get a super smooth mouthfeel.
I LOVE this place!!! It's right next to Trader Joe's on MLK, and I cannot help but to stop and get a scoop every time I'm grocery shopping. They have set flavors (which are delicious), but I love trying their monthly specials! All their flavors are so creative and have an Asian twist to them. They always hit the spot, no matter what you're craving. The owners are so sweet too! I have such a good time every time I go. It's definitely my to-go ice cream spot in Berkeley!
This cute little creamery had a great selection of unique flavors you won't find at another ice cream place. You can sample up to 3 flavors. I had miso peanut butter brownie and black sesame cookies and cream in a cup. There are 3 small tables inside for seating as well as outside seating. It's lovely how they have monthly flavors to keep your ice cream excursions exciting / never boring! Definitely coming back to try more!
We loved our visit to melt me creamery. I had seen them, but it was their winter menu and I really wanted to try the hot chocolate, but that wasn't available. Although the gal told me starting in November they have their winter menu nevertheless we ended up having the Thai tea, Ube, hazelnut toffee, and strawberry Matcha. Their ice cream creams are so creamy and delicious. The people that work there are so nice! It had a very hip ambience. We were lucky. We went in an off time so there wasn't a line. I highly recommend it.
This is one of my new favorite ice cream shops. They have a lot of creative flavors, including many inspired by Asian-food, and some vegan/gluten free options too. The ice creams are smooth, have an intense likening to the intended flavor, and are a perfect level of sweetness. They allow samples, and the owner is nice. Definitely an ideal place for a sweet treat :)
We decided to stop by for dessert after dinner and came across Melt Me Creamery. We went with the fruit freeze and chose strawberry and mango ice with mango sticky rice ice cream. They really packed the cup, and I thought it was very well priced. The interior is cute but a bit small, and there is not much seating inside. The staff were very friendly, and overall I had a great experience. Everything tasted great, and I would definitely recommend this place!
My new favorite ice cream spot-- I would go here everyday if I lived next door. Everything is in-house made! All flavors seem so unique. I'd get a scoop of everything if I could. Luckily they do have an ice cream flight option if you can't decide, which will most likely happen because they're all so delicious!! Can't wait to go back. They have seasonal rotating flavors too, love that!
What a wonderful creamy experience! I love the inspiration it takes to start up a creamery with Asian, tropical flavors and do some unique stuff, like offer fruit freezes. The quality of the cream is high, and the only thing you might concern yourself with is the paucity of flavor options. However, that's what makes it better! Admit it, Baskin can't do all 31 flavors equal justice. Lastly, go check out the hot chocolate available until the end of the month. That s'more is actually s'good. Flight of 4 scoops $10
Saw these cute hot chocolates all over tiktok and I had to try them!!! Parking is a bit difficult; we parked about a block or so away. When we got to the creamery, there was already a crowd of people waiting outside; some enjoying their hot chocolates and ice cream, and some waiting in line to order. Expect a 30min wait for hot chocolates, due to high demand! The store is also very tiny. Limited seating inside and outside. I grabbed a Hojicha Biscoff cone while we waited for our hot chocolates. They have such unique ice cream flavors and a majority are Asian inspired, like mango sticky rice and Strawberry Matcha. The Hojicha Biscoff tasted very "toasty" and not too sweet! The hot chocolates were yummy and I love the taste of the toasted marshmallow rim and whipped cream topping!!! Their other hot chocolate flavors, matcha white chocolate and Hojicha white chocolate, also sounded really good! Sadly, they were all sold out that day. Friendly staff; please be patient and kind, as they are getting a lot of attention thru tiktok and wait times are longer than usual. Will def come back to try their other ice flavors!
Saw this went viral on tiktok for its S'mores Hot Chocolate and decided to check it out. The line is definitely worth it! It took me about 20min to get through the line and get my order. It's a small ice cream shop with very limited stools inside and outside. While we waited for the main event we tried a scoop of their Campfire S'mores ice cream and Pinkberry ice cream which were both very good! The Pinkberry was very refreshing. The Campfire S'mores wasn't too sweet but it was rich. They had many unique flavors like mango sticky rice, Thai tea and brown sugar mochi, ube malted crunch that I need to return to try. The S'mores Hot Chocolate was such a warm treat for a cold day. The hot chocolate was rich and hot but the toasted marshmallow foam and fluffy thick whipped cream balanced out the rich chocolate. It was the perfect combination! They had other versions of it too.
Every year during the week of Thanksgiving, we embark on a tradition: searching the East Bay for its best ice cream. After five years and more than half a dozen shops, we finally found a new favorite, Melt Me Creamery. We loved it so much that we visited three times in one week and even brought three pints to Thanksgiving dinner. Each visit came with warm smiles, generous samples, and genuinely welcoming service. This small, family-owned shop opened in July 2025, and the two owners couldn't be kinder. They shared a bit about the shop's story with us, adding a personal touch that made the experience even better. The space is bright, clean, and inviting, with soft music in the background. There's outdoor seating as well, though we enjoyed staying inside. We tried quite a few flavors, but several truly stood out: · Pinkberry - Bold, rich strawberry flavor, perfectly creamy, not too sweet, made with a secret recipe that keeps the fruit flavor intense but not icy. · Matcha Strawberry - A lovely balance of the earthiness of matcha paired with a ribbon of strawberry jam, neither overpowering the other. · Jasmine Passionfruit - Lightly floral jasmine tea ice cream brightened by a swirl of tangy passionfruit. Melt Me also rotates four seasonal flavors every month. These were the flavors for November: · Hazelnut Coffee Toffee - A powerful coffee base with crispy hazelnut and toffee specks. · Avocado Coconut - Light, less sweet, and beautifully textured with toasted coconut flakes. · Yuzu Honey Sorbet - Bright, refreshing · Oolong Tea Pineapple - Unique take on the Taiwanese delicacy (Pineapple cake) If you're in the area, we highly recommend giving Melt Me Creamery a try. It's a place we're thrilled to have found. This review was written with the help of my nieces, EML (age 12) and CML (age 9).
We stopped by after eating KBBQ at Don Blanc, and the ice cream here truly hit the spot. Melt Me Creamery was exactly what I needed to satisfy my ice cream cravings. I already want to go back again. The reviews don't lie; the hype is well deserved. When we arrived, the place immediately had a laid-back, cheerful energy...lively enough to feel fun, but not crowded at all. What I ordered: Flight of Ice Cream = 4 scoops ($8.25 including tip) WHAT A STEAL for artisanal flavored ice cream. Flavors picked (I loved all of it): Jasmine Passionfruit Ube Crunch Strawberry Matcha Mango Sticky Rice Tip: Sprinkles are free! ICE CREAM: 10/10 The ice cream was phenomenal. Each flavor tasted exactly how it was described. The ice cream is rich but not heavy, and with flavors that feel inventive and thoughtful. I could tell they put a lot of care into balancing flavor and texture by not being overly sweet, creamy, but light. It genuinely felt like one of the best artisanal ice creams I've had in a long time. SERVICE: 10/10 The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and didn't make me feel rushed. Ordering was smooth, efficient, and pleasant from start to finish. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Melt Me has a fun, cheerful vibe, bright and colorful inside with pink and white decor, and enough seating for a relaxed hangout (though it's not a big lounge area). It felt comfy and casual. The only reason it's not a perfect 10/10 is that the space is a bit cozy, but that actually works in its favor if you enjoy low-key, friendly ice-cream-shop energy. There's also outdoor seating, which is a nice bonus. I really appreciated how simple and easy-to-read the menu was. I also loved that there wasn't an overwhelming number of flavors, just a thoughtful selection. The options were unique, yet they still offered classic choices like Vanilla. Overall, I came craving something indulgent and a little different, and Melt Me delivered. If you enjoy inventive flavors, care about quality, and want a chill spot to enjoy a scoop (or two), this place is worth checking out. I'll definitely be back. I honestly can't wait to be back LOL.
Came for the viral hit chocolate and stayed for delicious ice-cream flavors. Melt Me is the kind of spot that reminds you why Berkeley's dessert scene is so fun. Prices are refreshingly reasonable for the quality, especially if you go for a multi-scoop flight and sample some of their creative flavors. The space is small but colorful and lively, perfect for a quick post-dinner treat or sunny afternoon stop. Service was genuinely warm, with staff happy to offer samples and walk us through the menu. Pro tip: come curious and try something you normally wouldn't because you'll probably end up loving it.

Great selection of flavors, not a huge overwhelming menu but also definitely something for everyone! The texture was phenomenal, it was very smooth, slightly rich, and also had a less dense texture. Not overly gummy like some ice cream places! I love that the flavors highlight the actual flavors and not just sweetness. The Thai tea was very tea flavored and just enough sweetness. I've lost count of how many friends, family & coworkers I've brought here just in the past 2 months [and considering I'm 1) not a 'sweets' person and 2) the past two months were cold November and December, that's saying a lot]! I love how many of the flavors are "not too sweet" and also offer tasty non-dairy / non-nut milk based options. I plan to go at least once a month to see their monthly rotating flavors. The owners are super friendly and take their time giving samples and recommendations. Even if there's a line out the door, it's quick and there's small stools inside and outside of the store. With the addition of the marshmallow rim hot chocolate, this place will definitely get more and more busy, but I'm glad they're getting the attention they deserve! read more
Such a good experience at Melt Me! The line out the door immediately drew me in, and it's safe to say, it did not disappoint. Their ube crunch ice cream was the perfect ending to my night, with its creamy texture and exuberant flavor. The other flavors I tried were just as unique and flavorful, like the honey lavender, mango sticky rice, and black sesame cookies and cream. This is a very cute shop! It's on MLK way and the inside is quite small. I would say possibly 5 people comfortably to order inside at a time. They had really good flavors, such as their Thai tea , Honey Lavender and their s'mores. Surprisingly they were able to make the s'mores flavor taste have a slight smoky taste as if you roasted a marshmallow! The staff is very kind and helpful! Very unique flavors. I'd say they're a fusion/blend between Asian teas & fruits. Super nice people and good service as well. They're also very open to feedback, which I appreciate. You can tell there's true passion in the flavor profiles that they try to produce. The flavors we tried were: - Thai Tea w/ brown sugar mochi: Probably the best Thai tea ice cream I've had. The brown sugar mochi mimicks boba so it's a nice addition - Matcha strawberry: Very good. The strawberry is very subtle so you taste 90-95% matcha. - Hong Kong: My first time having Hong Kong ice cream. I usually only have it as a drink. This ice cream version is good. If you've never had HK flavored things before, be prepared for a strong tea flavor - Ube: Very solid - Bloodberry: If you like raspberry, this is a very strong raspberry sorbet in a good way. I enjoyed the very fruity flavor - Honey Lavender: Very solid. Sometimes lavender is overpowering, but this place balances it very well. If you ever had it at Salt&Straw, I think this place does it a bit better IMO. read more

2 of us (+ dog--just a nibble) shared the "Flight" size, which is 4 mini scoops. It was $8.25 (a great deal when you're sharing and indecisive). Sprinkles were free! We tried Blue Jasmine & Passion Fruit Swirl, Classic Vanilla, Matcha Strawberry, and Ovaltine Flocos Crocantes. All the flavors were fantastic and we loved the blue jasmine the most! The vanilla together with the jasmine or matcha made it taste like a latte. The strawberry in the matcha is a little faint unless you stir it. Stools are available outside for seating and there's a couple standing tables inside (small space). Staff were so friendly, letting us try flavors and checking for allergies. I appreciate that all the flavors are labeled if it is vegan, gluten free, has eggs, or has nuts. Love the diversity of fun flavors and will definitely be back to try more! read more

So I went at 3:00 pm, opening time on a Saturday and there was a line down the block. The line was for people getting the special hot chocolate and also ice cream. If you're just getting a scoop of ice cream, you can just go inside. Don't wait in that line. The ice cream is delicious. Creative flavors. They let you taste up to 3 flavors. My favorite was peanut butter brownie. I waited almost 2 hours for the hot chocolate. That included the wait time to order it. But by the time I got mine around 5:00 pm, there was no line and people just getting there probably waited about 20 minutes or less. There were only 2 people working that day. I don't know if that's normal, but on busy weekends they should have an extra person making the hot chocolate. I enjoyed the hot chocolate but the wait time made it less exciting and not as worth it. So I recommend going but if you see a line, maybe go another time. read more

This place is so good! I was so excited to see a new place that had some unique flavors of ice cream as well as fruit freeze. We tried a few flavors of ice cream, and they were spot on! I definitely recommend trying a few to get what you truly want. I had the strawberry matcha and it was very good. The fruit freeze is so similar to Gunther's from Sac. So refreshing and delicious ! The owner was so friendly and encouraged us to try flavors in their cute little shop. Definitely will be back. read more

Drove pass and notice the cute decor outside. Had to check it out. I'm so glad we did! Grand opening this past Friday. Cute clean interior Friendly staff Creative and Unique flavors My partner and I sampled a few flavors and it was so difficult to decide which ones to get, they were all so good. The atmosphere is so bright and welcoming and beautiful. You can tell they put so much care and intention into their space! The BLUE JASMINE PASSION FRUIT IS SOO GOODD! It's not overly sweet and gives a good mix of creamy and fruity The lady who helped me was so kind and patient with me and my brother as well as the other guests! The service was amazing! we came to melt me creamery after hearing incredible things, and it completely exceeded our expectations with its artisanal, asian-inspired ice cream that tastes so thoughtfully crafted. the thai tea and brown sugar mochi was our absolute favorite, with a rich, authentic tea flavor and chewy mochi pieces that added the perfect texture. the earl grey lychee and matcha strawberry were beautifully balanced and refreshing, each letting their unique flavors shine without being overly sweet. the pandan tres leches pistachio was so unique and memorable. they rotate new flavors every month which gives us every reason to come back. the staff are so sweet and kind and super patient when trying out flavors. it does get busy although the line moves fast and so nice to sit with friends and enjoy our ice cream and feels very social inside. read more
