We arrived early and our movie didn't start for a few more hours, so we decided to kill some time at My Candy Fix and the next door GameStop. While in My Candy Fix, I noticed they had Sno-Biz snocones. We got some candy and walked around the mall a little bit before returning. I got a small size snocone and had to wait a little while as the cashier had to tend to other customers. Once the other customers were helped, I got my cone, and John offered to put in some extra to compensate the wait. One of my friends wanted to know what the snocone syrup tasted like, and offered to buy a small size without any ice. John told him that there was no need to pay, and gave him a "shot" of strawberry snocone syrup. After that, my other friend wanted to try the Rube Goldberg-esque gumball machine. Towards the end of the gumball's ride, it fell off the track. It still fell into the dispenser, but we still wanted to know what happened at the end. That's when John came over and put in his own coins to see why the gumball fell off. After finding out, he too a gumball from the top of the machine and put it on the remaining part of the track so we could see how it ends. And he also let us keep the test-gumballs! Overall, my experience was incredible and without John, it would've just been another run-of-the-mill candy store. But John made my friends and my experience worthwhile, and I'll be sure to drop by again.

When I think of caramel, I imagine it being stuck all over my teeth. But Maui Melts is different - the caramel melts in your mouth without the sticky feeling. If you're not able to make it out to this storefront, they have a booth at the Salem Saturday Market. It's worth paying $10 for 7 pieces of caramel. I was recommended to try the blueberry and pineapple so I bought some and gifted them to my family. The only flavors I tried were the coconut and original. Highly recommend both flavors! The coconut shavings paired nicely with the melty caramel. The original has tiny bits of sea salt for that sweet and salty combo. I'm still dreaming of these caramels as I write this review.

We enjoyed all flavors except hot cinnamon and watermelon. Both were way too overpowering with flavor. I also bought some of the homemade Peanut Butter Explosion fudge. It was so good!
