I got to try this food truck at my work where they appreciated our staff. So although I don't know the prices since it was free, I'll just judge on the food. The churros were delicious & the filling was a great touch. The churro was warm and crunchy but soft. I would say it was sweet because of the filling but it was alright, I'd probably go for a different filling next time. We attended the Cinco de Mayo festivities in downtown Lincoln . They had food trucks, live music and much more. That is when we saw this big churro truck lol .. We approached the truck and they had the menu printed all over the truck . They sell churros for $5 each let me tell you they are huge ! You can get them stuffed or original if you get them stuffed the flavors they offer are Cajeta-caramel Crema -vanilla cream Fresa-strawberry Chocolate Queso crema -cream cheese Or mixed They churros are fresh to order . When we got our churros we were in churro heaven so delicious ! I keep thinking about it . We want more ! I never saw this truck in Lincoln before and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for it . I first tried their churros at my friend's wedding in Elk Grove. What a wonderful surprise. I came across their truck again a year later and these churros are still fire. I have to say these are my favorite ever. Better than those popular ones down south at a certain theme park. Yes I said it. Now you want to try these don't you? We ordered one vanilla cream filled and one caramel filled churros. These are made fresh. So buttery. There hasn't been a line the last two times we've went. Hubby and I had just had dinner and was craving something sweet. We were passing Mely's truck and I said, "Wait! Go back!" We weren't sure what to order but we knew we were in for a treat regardless, when we noticed the people on line where clearly regulars. One guy was heading back to his car with a piping hot bag of sweet, cinnamony goodness. We apparently had the "we are new here" look, and without missing a beat he begins to tell us what his favorites were. We ordered all flavors to share and try them all at once. They were all delicious but that chocolate...OMG! Think: piping hot, crunchy on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside, filled with chocolate as rich as ganache. Omg. I've had my eyes out for this delicious business for quite some time and they were finally in my neighborhood last week! Their line was considerable busier than the other trucks so that was a great sign. Despite the several people in front of me, I only waited about 5 mins before placing my order. I watched as they fried the churros right away and filled them hot out the fryer! I ordered a strawberry, caramel and vanilla cream. The vanilla cream was my favorite, the sweetness was perfect and the texture was so smooth. The caramel was also delicious. It tasted like homemade dulce de leche.
