I'll start off by saying they promote this spot as an adults playground. We thought that meant adults only. IT IS NOT ADULTS ONLY. There's a lot of kids as well. Our group came here for a birthday. It was a ton of fun! I HIGHLY recommend booking reservations in advance or you may be waiting a minute or you might not even be able to partake that day. We were a group of 11 and it was around $50 a person for 4 hour unlimited play time. We didn't use up the whole 4 hours. We were probably there for 2 hrs - 2 hrs 30 mins. It took about 30 mins to check in between waiting in line, watching the demo and rules, and waiting for a locker. The lockers were completely taken so we had to wait for someone who was leaving or out our stuff in the car. It's a great place for groups, but can be a little tricky if it's very busy. You'll have to wait in lines for game rooms. Most of the activities are in rooms where you have to either solve problems or do some sort of physical activity. The rooms are usually only around a 3-5 minute wait if you're next in line. There's plenty of rooms so most rooms didn't have long waits. You can compete against those in your group. See who can get the most points as individuals or broken out into smaller groups. Or just have fun and everyone in the group partake in activities together. Each room holds around 6 people max. There's a full bar area and eating area. If you need to go eat and grab drinks you can pause your game time for up to 1 hr. Overall, I'd come back. I would try and come back on a day where it's less packed.

I had a group of 5 and it was a blast. We got an entire day pass and were there from 11-7 with about an hour break for lunch. We had a blast. We got to do every room but 2. I really recommend doing the all day pass so you can commit to it. Try every room, there's a nice mix of physical and mental, you might not succeed everything. But you'll have fun. It is a busy place, there may be a wait for some rooms at times. But it's such a good time it's worth waiting for. Be patient, have fun!!

It was date night at Level99. Located on the 2nd floor of the mall, Level99 is billed as an adult game center. Once we checked in, got our wristbands, and checked in again at the virtual kiosks, we watched a brief presentation about the games before we were off. We signed up for the 2-hour session, and by the end, we were satisfied with the games we played (even some twice). In the beginning, we didn't utilize the hint option, so some games ended almost as quickly as we entered the room, lol. Eventually, we caught on, and even though we didn't clear any rooms, we did get close on a few. I liked that while most games were hidden until you entered the room, a handful were out in the open to see before you played. We appreciated the water station inside the restaurant, and the Detroit syle pizza had was pretty good. This was a fun date night, and something I'd do with a group of friends too.

Level 99 is another new entertainment event since we last visited. It's a gaming playground featuring many real-world physical and mental challenges and games, craft drinks, and decent food if you are hungry. Its really for young and older adults. Its pricey so if you go make sure you stay as long as your allotted time playing games or getting in to the activity challenges.

This spot is one of the hottest places to go right now and I 100% understand the hype as I have not had this much fun in a very long time. The concept is awesome- 40 rooms to choose from that can be played, replayed, or skipped within 2 hour or 4 hour time slots. Some of our favorite rooms we played over 3 times trying to earn a better score. The space itself is like art. Everywhere you look is artwork it almost feels like you're in a museum. There is even a H2O station added that you'll quickly realize is a necessity to visit as you're playing all these games. On my visit we reserved online a 2 hour time slot at 4:45pm on a Thursday, trying to beat the pricing increase by booking before 5pm and having it also not being a weekend. This was the smartest thing to do because we realized even on a weekday, the space gets packed fast and right now a lot of companies even do happy hours here so it would've been harder to get into as many rooms having to wait for people to finish their sessions. I will not spoil the games for newcomers but they have a combination of mental and physical games. Group activities and even head to head competitions throughout the space. Do not come into this thinking that things will be easy because they are built to be quite a challenge. Going with a group of 4 is the perfect amount of persons as I think some games with be hard with just 2 and too overcrowded with 6.

Level 99 Adventure Awaits! Level 99 is the ultimate spot to challenge yourself and tap into your inner gamer and playful side. With over 50 immersive rooms of adventure, every hallway leads to a new themed experience and every door opens to another fun-filled challenge. The staff is not only friendly but also super encouraging, always pushing you to accept the challenge and keep going no matter the difficulty level. It's the perfect place for Date night, Outings with family and friends, and Team-building packed with fun and laughter A definite must-try in the DMV

What an amazing experience! Level 99 was fantastic. With over 40 games combining both physical challenges and mental puzzles, there was something for everyone. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Each game included on-screen instructions and helpful hints, plus an estimated wait time if the room was already occupied. For tickets, you can choose between a 2-hour, 4-hour, or all-day pass--I found that 2 hours was the perfect amount of time. I also appreciated their partnership with Victory Brewing, which provided great food and drinks. The truffle fries were especially flavorful and delicious. I also tried the pitcher of blood orange mule; it was tasty, though it had a bit too much ice. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Level 99--whether you're bringing the kids or planning a fun date

I've been to a few of these game rooms and each have their pros and cons. This one had more physical rooms for example, avoiding getting hit by swinging axes, using each others body weight to get across the room and at one point I had to hang from a rope to hit a button on the ceiling. They also had various water stations and a bar for breaks. I would say more of these rooms are for adults due to physicality and complexity especially if you are competitive.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great time. In total we were a group of 9 that split into groups of 4 and 5. I would say 4-5 is the sweet spot since some of the rooms almost require two man teams and too many people would make it difficult. We got the 2 hour pass and visited around 15/50 rooms (each room takes 3-5 mins). Granted we went at 1:45 pm the day after Christmas so it was quite busy. If this is your first time going and have not heard much about this place or how it works be prepared to fail the first couple of rooms you go to. It's very much learn as you go along. We discovered the "hints" on the queue board, for some of the rooms the hints are pretty helpful, for others it's pretty vague. Keep in mind that you do need to be somewhat agile and have some strength to complete some of these rooms. I saw some people dressed in full athletic clothes and sneakers and that is not necessary. You will be just fine wearing jeans, t-shirt/sweatshirt, and close toed shoes would be recommended. My only con about this place is the smell. As soon as you walk into the hallways with all the rooms you immediately get hit with "stinky armpit" BO smell. I would say some wall plug air fresheners would be extremely helpful. When we were done we grabed a bite to eat at the restaurant connected to the location "Victory Brewing Co.". We ordered the Mac and Cheese with Crispy Chicken, Truffle Fries, and the Beverian Pretzels which were all hot and tasted fantastic.

The Rec Center: Overall, I liked the layout of the rec center, and the folks that helped with getting a card were SUPER friendly and helpful. While I have not officially used the rec center, I was a bit disappointed with the the size of the weight room. The size of the weight room reminds of a weight room that one would find in a hotel. However, the gym did look like it had everything that one would need for a decent workout. Also, I was a bit surprised that the rec center does not open until 9 am on weekdays (and Saturday). Based on my prior rec center experiments, I'm used to rec centers opening from 5:30 to 7 am. Then again, perhaps, these hours are for the summer months. The Library: Again, the librarian who signed me up for a card was very friendly. Also, I loved how she gave me a very thorough overview of this branch's services and resources. A front seat to nature...ducks, frogs eagles and other animals await your visit to Great Falls Park. It's really 2 parks in 1, or is that 1 park cut into 2? Let me explain, Great Falls is a national park that sits in the border of Maryland and Virginia. The trails were relatively easy, in regular sneakers. Apparently, if you get up in the morning you can see an amazing array of wildlife and a huge amount of birds. There's even a man made waterfall, areas to enjoy water sports and fishing. It cost $20 per car, $15 per motorcycle and $10 on foot. It cost $35 for Annual Pass (only for Great Falls Park and C&O Canal National Historical Park). There's also an America the Beautiful--the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, which cost $80 for US residents and citizens. For nonresident it cost $250. There are even a senior citizen resident annual pass for $20 and lifetime resident pass $80. For the cost of a one year annual pass, you can visit many times in a year. It's cheaper than paying each time you go...if you are into physical fitness, trails, nature and the great outdoors. Did you know the US National Parks include a rainforest and a Spanish Fort located in Puerto Rico, a US territory. Yes, for such a small area Washington, DC has 30 National Parks (including historic sites, memorials, and parkways). But wait there's more, The Greater Capital Region (DC, MD and DC) has 86 Parks in total with all parks and sites maintained by the US Parks Department. The flood marker shows the flood of 1972 when the water level was 85ft above the river! 85 feet!? I was a young kid visiting Washington DC in 1972 and the flood there was massive as well. There was a one mile long canal built on this side of the river, which was eventually overcome by a superior canal built on the other of the river, which was overcome by the invention of the railroad. Now it's trucks. Soon it will be self driving trucks. Goods have to flow and technology keeps advancing... what's next? Life is good with a nice visit to a unique national park. The first time, I walked here from a mile or more upstream. I met and walked with three Catholic priests who subsequently blessed me after our conversations and upon reaching our destination. The second time, I was with my nephew who is hiking the Appalachian Trail! I feel blessed, lucky and alive.

Public health aside, I return to find even now there are still signs saying to take the trail one way. And having done it both ways many times, it's the wrong way! Absurd. Supposedly there's some justification, but I think that grown adults can figure out how to hike in two directions without running into each other.
