I get the going to the rodeo because I have thick hair and the volume goes down quickly so it looks perfect and full for days afterward. Ive had just about everyone there do my blowouts and theyre all good but Fuschia and Darrell are the best. Darrell is fun and positive and really elevates the energy of the place. They got me in when the Covid 19 opened up, I needed a haircut and color, got that but not extremely happy w/the cut, shorter than I asked for and a bit uneven. BUT, they got me in, so that was great!!! They were celebrating an anniversary dressing up as Disney characters, I told them it seemed to be a fun place to work. I bought a face mask without looking at the price, $15, I would not have bought it, but I should have checked the price first. I went in to get my hair done back in February. I hadn't colored my hair in a few years and have recently started to get some grey hair. Joanna did a full head highlight and it turned out amazing! She did such a wonderful job blending the color throughout. I loved how it turned out, I decided i needed to add some more blonde. I went back about a week ago. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, it's fantastic! Joanna also cuts my hair, and has been for many years now. She always does a great job and knows exactly how to cut it to make it more manageable. I have a ton of hair! The salon itself is always clean and has a relaxing feel. As a previous Salon Beleza client of Deanne Cowell's, when Mena and Co opened up, I followed Deanne to the new location. Deanne has been doing my hair for a few years now and she also does my wife's hair. Deanne is very meticulous and makes sure everything is right. She enjoys what she does and you can tell in every haircut or style she does. We even took our newborn to her when he was about 10 months old for his first haircut and she did an amazing job. He has now had 3 little trim sessions by her so far and she does such a good job with him. I am a photographer and have recommended Deanne to many of my clients. She does the styling and makeup for my high school senior portrait sessions and the girls always love her work. I have no problem referring my friends and clients to Deanne because I know that she takes her job very seriously and makes sure her clients only get the best she has to offer. Nice, clean, bright and friendly salon. My first time was just for a brow waxing...painless but pricey. I went back in for a color and cut - $110 not including tip. My last stylists were horrible and ruined my haircolor...and then I met Mindy at Menas. She took care of the color and I love the trim. The nite I left I had to meet my friends to show off. I just loved swishing my hair back and forth. I just wish I could style it daily like Mindy. But I guess thats why she gets the big bucks read more

I came in yesterday for the first time for a hair cut and blowout with Liliana. The blow out I wanted was the one that included lots of volume and curls (I forgot the name of it). The haircut itself was amazing and she did it all perfect and got the split ends. But the blow out and curls definitely did not deliver. She was asking me earlier if it was okay if she could tease my hair for the volume I wanted and I said definitely do whatever it takes to get that volume but when she started curling it, no tease whatsoever. The curls were more of beach waves and I was so disappointed. Like I could've done that at home. No volume and my hair looked dead and wavy, not curly. Be very specific! read more

I went to get my hair done today after being referred by a close friend, I had the best experience! At times it felt surreal, I have very unruly curly hair and a scalp condition so I do not like to go in to new places due to feeling embarrassed, but from the moment that I walked in, I felt so welcomed and not judged at all. I was taken care of like a princess. Mena and her girls are outstanding, I have never felt so spoiled! My hair turned out great and they got my scalp to feeling great! Owner is rude to employees in front of clients. While getting my hair done employees were gossiping with the owner about another employee and not even being discreet about it. The owner is very unprofessional. My stylist, Darrell, did a great job, but the owner and others employees were terrible. I would not recommend this salon for my dog! read more

Mena is pure magic. She took my brassy, high-lighted, brown/gray hair on a wonderful journey. Two visits and I'm platinum blonde w/ an ashy root! I look 10 years younger. Her Aveda products take care of your hair and she knows exactly what to use! She helped me get my hair ready for the main transformation by suggesting masks and products along the way. She is patient, positive, listens, and stays right with you in the process the entire time. I drive from SF just to see her and it's SO worth it. Her staff and assistants are fun and involved. I called in last minute and Mena accommodated me and was able to get me in an hour and a half after I called. I called around since I was again trying to get in somewhere last minute as my hair was in desperate need. My hair is color treated and it's been a few months since I've had a cut. Darrel did an amazing job! He was very knowledgeable on all the Aveda products and was fun to talk to while he worked his magic on my hair! The salon is professional and clean and Mena makes it look effortless to keep it that way although I'm sure there is more to it behind the scenes. I have been going to Menas for over a year, I'm always happy with how my hair comes out. I used to see Alanna but sadly she moved to a salon in San Fran. On my last visit I had a blowout with Kelly. She was awsome, so sweet and knowledgeable about which products would be best for my bright pink hair. Menas Salon recently underwent a move and expansion, they now have a blow bar section and a larger facial area. The salon looks beautiful, it's a nice atmosphere. I have been to many stylists throughout Seattle, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley and Kelly is BY FAR the best stylist I have ever been to! I have gone to Kelly a few times now and I never leave disappointed, but rather in awe of her talent. I have long hair and like to have some life to it without the high maintenance that typically comes with having beautiful hair. I put everything into Kelly's hands since I trust her judgement and she makes my hair look bright with depth and VERY natural. I get so many compliments on my hair!
