I have been going to Mena for about 6-8 months. This last haircut was horrible. She cut my bangs to about 1 inch long-and thinned out my already thin hair. I called the salon the next day when I realized I couldn't do anything with this mess, she never returned my call. She charges more for her haircuts, and is the owner of the salon. So I will not be going back, and hope she takes responsibility for her crap work. I paid $60 for this. It will take more than 6 months to grow my bangs back out. read more

First of all, I called in on a Saturday morning, and Mena made room for me THE SAME DAY! I don't mean she "squeezed" me in either. I have never felt so understood, pampered, or taken care of. She took her time, always asked me how I felt about what she was doing, and stopped and asked questions to confirm that was what she was creating was exactly what I was imagining for myself. She also took time to teach me how to care for my hair, and gave me tips for styling on my own. I have to mention the blow out. I have very fine hair and I have NEVER had anyone take what little hair I have and create the healthiest looking and feeling head of hair I left with! I never understood why people would go to a salon for a blowout. Now, not only do I understand, but would go daily if I could!I had never been into this salon, never met Mena or any of her team but left feeling beautiful and valued. I absolutely love this place! I've gone there three times for different services: hair color (blond balayage), a blond tint, and now a haircut. I called this morning, totally desperate for an appt before an event that came up unexpectedly, and they were able to get me in just a few hours later. David gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Usually I sit down and the person just starts cutting my hair, but he took the time to really get to know me, my hair type, and what I wanted from the service. I have curly hair that most people cut way too short because they don't have much experience with it, but he completely changed my look without taking too much off. He also made sure he was styling it in a way that I'd be able to maintain and showed me every step, also recommending products without ever being pushy. I have been seeing Mena as a client for some time now. She is an excellent stylist and colorist. I have had more compliments from friends, family and even complete strangers since she started doing my hair about five years ago.. This woman truly knows hair! Kelly also works there and is a wonderful stylist. She has been doing my husband's hair. Sierra did an Aveda facial on me recently and it, and her, were wonderful! Previously I had gotten my hair colored at Paul Mitchell and they did an horrible job. After 6 months later I found out about this salon and thought of giving a shot at it. So I made an appointment. When I got there, the owner Mena greeted me in an excellent manner, and asked me what I was here for. She also asked me if I would like anything to drink while I wait for my hair stylist. I told her I'm here to get a hair cut and maybe get my damaged blonde hair out that was ruined by a different salon which turned out to be a school and I declined her offer to drink anything. I waited for my hair stylist(fuscia) to come and get me. When she came to get me, she also greeted me and asked me if I would like anything to drink? Water or tea? I told her tea please. The service is amazing and Fuscia was really gentle with my hair and listened to me on how I wanted my hair to be and she also helped me choose the perfect color that can go over the blonde and something that would look natural. She did an amazing job and it didn't even take 3 or 4 hours, but less then 2 hrs. Their prices are good and affordable too. They're very clean and of course, there bathroom is nice and clean too. I walked out with a big smile and was really happy that I made the right choice of coming to this salon. My review for Mean & Co will be on Leo's pedicures. Ladies, if you want some good foot pampering this is the place & person to go to. It is not your typical pedi shop that you sit around and wait in for your turn. The spa room is located at the back of the salon, the spa chair is just heaven, his technique for pedicures is not like that of any pedi place. He focuses on what he does and he accomplishes an amazing job. The scrubs he uses smell heavenly, and if the leg massage is your favorite part? He is hands down a pro!!! No doubt, Leo is my designated pedicure guy, my two cents is if you want to have a great pedi experience, and polish that lasts, quality work, peaceful pedicure experience, not to mention, leave with your feet feeling BRAND NEW, Leo is the man for the job!!! We booked hair and makeup with Mena & Co for our wedding after having great trial runs at the salon. The team arrived on time to the bridal suite at the venue and consisted of owner Mena who did hair alongside Johanna and Alanna on makeup. Hair by Mena was perfect and just as we had gone over in the trials approximately a month earlier. I had a little anxiety because I forgot to take pictures of myself done up after the trial as a visual reference, but Mena's written notes to herself that she brought with her must have been spot on because the hair turned out just as I had remembered; Mena did the hair of both brides. Johanna executed great on the mothers' hair with direction from Mena, who you could tell was meticulous about her staff's work as well as her own. Alanna did a flawless job on everybody's makeup, especially covering up dark spots and evening out my skin tone after having broken out very badly 3-4 weeks before my wedding. The makeup lasted through the night and photographed beautifully. You could not tell at all that I had problem skin -- fantastic! We did end up getting about an hour behind schedule. I thought 2 brides and 2 mothers between 3 staff in 2.5 hours would be sufficient time to get all hair and makeup done before photography (I couldn't allow for more time because of when the venue opened to us in the morning); the photographer improvised and busied herself with other details to shoot while she waited on us and it all worked out on the end. In total, Mena & Co did hair and makeup for 8 that day and we could not have been any happier with our decision to go with this Aveda salon for our big day. read more

Had my haircut done by Fushia. Went home to find out it was completely uneven. I had twice as many layers in the right side of my head then the left and the left side was longer overall. I had to go back to get it fixed. When I got there she noticed right away what was wrong, so why didn't she notice it the day she cut it? She spent over an hour trying to fix it and it's still uneven. Needless to say, I won't be going back. The worst part was she didn't even attempt to apologize for the horrible haircut. read more

Mena is a very talented hair stylist and colorist. She is very personal and genuinely wants you to look your best. Her years of experience are obvious when you turn your hair over to her.
