Salad is good with a nice mix of iceberg, tomato, beets, chic peas, mushrooms, and fresh grated parmesan in a tangy Italian dressing. I had classic pasta wity meat sauce. It was goid, not great. Would have been better if the pasta was drained better so the pool of water doesn't dilute the sauce as much as it did to mine. The sauce otherwise was good. My wife had seafood pasta with rosatelli sauce that was very good. The scallops and shrimp were very good and not skimpy. Would definitely order again. My wife was given spumoni ice cream with an annisette cookie. Ice cream was good with a mix of chocolate, strawberry, and pistachio ice creams; enjoyable. How is this place still in business?!?!? Went there last night for a birthday dinner for a friend. Only positive I can say was that they had a big room and could accommodate our larger party. Food was bland and terrible. Everything is soaking in garlic butter. I got the chicken Romano and it came out in 2 inches of vegetable water. Almost was a soup. Looked terrible too (like they cleared out the sink and dumped all the stuff on top). Service was lacking at best. Waiter was nice but our drinks were constantly empty. Took forever to get the Check. I actually don't know how this restaurant is still open. I had lunch with my friends here on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was dead. The inside decor was very dim, dated & just gives you the creeps. The service was good - no complaints there. The host and our server were very nice and attentive. The food was absolutely atrocious and overpriced. Aside from the starter salad, everything I tried was fried in old oil or covered in a strange greasy butter. The garlic rolls that come before the meal are the most odd, greasy-tasting rolls I've ever had. The garlic was so potent; it was inedible. When our bottle of wine arrived at the table, the waiter just set it down & walked off. It was something I had never experienced. Overall a disappointing meal. The physical property was very nice with a warm ambiance and fireplace. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to standard. The veal Marsala had a very thick greasy gravy that had no taste of Marsala. In fact had very little taste. The large number of mushrooms was a positive, but not able to carry the dish. The hot rolls smelled of garlic and were soaked in butter which you can see in the picture. The rolls might have been good had they not been swimming in butter. The shrimp Fra Diavlo was also a disappointment. There was no spice to the sauce which made the pasta tasteless. The server was good. I'm giving one star because the garlic bread was delicious! Served warm with warm fresh garlic to slather it in. I could drink the butter and that might become my favorite new beverage. The Chicken Romano was cold. I don't mean room temp cold. I'm talking refrigerator cold, like maybe it had been refrigerated and they tried to heat it up. The breaded chicken under the goopy stuff with mushrooms was almost barely warm. And it was served with a small side of spaghetti, also not even lukewarm. Two bites and I put the whole thing in a to go box to bring home thinking heating it can't make it any worse. Ok, I just changed my rating from one to two stars because the salad was decent. Let me start by saying generations of my family have been going to Provino's since the original Roswell location (now closed) opened in the early 1980s or so. I have NEVER had a disappointing meal and the portions are always hearty and full of flavor. Sure, some of the meals have been better than others - but they've all been tasty. The Kennesaw location is our go-to now and it always satisfies. Nowadays, my mainstay is the "seafood trio" which made for the perfect 2026 Father's Day meal. Tons of shrimp and scallops with a helping of mussels. Moms had the Chicken Francese, which she loves (and is enough for her to take home for a second meal). The booths are comfy, the atmosphere is old world Italianesque...and the bathrooms are clean (yes, it matters). From the start, we were greeted with a smile, service was great and we left full. The food and service is always amazing and on point. The salad is fantastic. It has beets, mushrooms, cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes on a bed of iceberg with a light vinegrette that you mix and serve at your table. They also bring out soft garlic butter rolls which are amazing. They are so light and tasty that you can't eat just one. The Italian food is very basic, yet quite tasty. It may not seem to be very complex, but the dishes have a lot more flavor than they look like they do. I personally had the chicken marsala and although it doesn't look very appetizing or what you would normally expect, the flavor was there and excellent. The wait staff is always on point and checking on you. The ambiance of the restaurant is very old school traditional Italian with the music and grapes on the lattice work, and I am a fan. read more

This is the worst Italian food I've ever had in my life, the service was so inattentive, we were here for a full hour before even being asked if we were ready to order food. Our server continued to forget things we asked for, he forgot 4 out of 6 of the groups orders when he went to ring them up, and even though I told him that we were celebrating two of our friends birthdays, sung the whole song with candles and everything, the birthday girl still had to ask if they provided a desert AFTER seeing the table next to us get TWO deserts for their birthday (they might've paid for the cheesecake that they got but it's the principle)! Then, he asked if it was it was anybody's birthday today specifically which was fair but then needed to verify with her ID! And took the ID with him to the back! We didn't see the other table do that, but we could've missed it (probably not tho). Our server was very nice, just not a great experience. Personally, I got the sampler combo with fried ravioli and Mozzarella sticks and both were extremely cold and missing marinara sauce?? Not sure how that happens. The marinara tasted like it was straight out of a can and cold. By the time he came back with the sauce, my already lukewarm mozzarella sticks were cold and had absolutely no cheese pull, just hard cheese. The only good thing I had was their salad. Even the birthday freebie was disgusting with gross ice cream flavors and a stale cookie. I will never be back to this location let alone a Provino's in the future. Also 4 people got here @6:30, the other 2 came at 7 and we are finally now leaving at 9 with an extremely complicated checkout where I got overcharged as well. They need a new chef. When we went there the side of pasta came in a saucer that you would put under a cup. The main dish was lukewarm. The only thing I can say positive was the waitress that served us was great. I've been there before and it was fine but now it looks like it's going downhill. I love this place for many reasons! The salad that's included with every entree is absolutely delicious! It's an unlimited salad & they have garlic rolls that are pretty good as well. Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. Went last night 2/6/2026 for my son's birthday. First one plate had hair and the other plate was literally broke, chipped in multiple places. Then the salad had a bunch of brown iceberg lettuce pieces. Third the food was nasty. It had absolutely no seasoning. My Sons didn't even eat the food, we told the waiter and he just said "sorry" he didn't offer to fix it or anything. One of my sons ordered Scampi Al Forno, the Pasta was dry and there was no Scampi to be found. He ate the shrimp and that's it. My other son ordered Shrimp and Scallops, he wanted Shrimp Alfredo and the waiter stated we had to order that dish and he will notate for it to be all shrimp. What he got was a little shrimp and mostly scallops. I ordered Chicken Francese and it was terrible. It arrived cold, unseasoned and the butter and wine sauce it was served in was just cold and looked like congealed sauce. I ate a little and told the waiter it was bad. He apologized. We paid the bill. I am so so so disappointed. It hurts when I save up to treat my family out to celebrate a birthday and we have an experience like this. read more

Waiter was nice but he did not explain sharing $8 charge up front which we pointed out after we got the bill. We still left him a 20% tip bc he was Kind. Requested Manager to speak to who never came to the table and only removed the $8 fee. As we were leaving, he had the gall to ask how the food was. When attempting to give constructive criticism, he sarcastically said something condescending (that it was posted on the menu. (We had to look for it. Basically, it said salad a la carte under the Appetizer section) - which was in tiny print - if shared so it was not clear to us esp if Server did not point out regarding an entree. We weren't even looking at Appetizers! All we wanted was one Snapper Francese to share bc it was so late. When leaving, the Manager aggressively followed us out the door and said something like Glad you're leaving! His disingenuous question was not necessary if he really didn't want a response. His attitude was as filthy as the floor. This place used to be good but has gone way downhill. Well one Friday evening we decided we didn't want to drive to Alpharetta, Roswell or Into ATL to get dinner. 1) First off, I really like the old school Italian country vibe of Provino's, but the manager needs to get on the young wait staff to clean the floors thoroughly. There was paper on the floor and overall felt like a sticky movie theater floor. 2) Get a better wine list!! Geez! I thought Italy made some great wines. Why are none on the menu??? 3) someone I don't care if it's the manager, the owner, or Chef Damn Ramsey himself, but someone needs to do food quality checks every 3 months!!!!! The food was soooo bland I would never eat there again. Also, if you going to serve warm rolls, then make sure they are baked properly!! Not served like white flour dough! I mean come on guys !! We have been loyal customers of Provino's Italian Restaurant for over 30 years, from Chattanooga to Kennesaw, and it is honestly shocking how far this place has fallen. The Kennesaw location is, without question, the worst we have ever experienced. We have given it three chances in the last three months, hoping things would improve, and each visit has been worse than the last. I am writing this as we are currently still waiting on our order... 53 minutes and counting. Orders are consistently wrong. Refills take forever, if they come at all. The salads are wilted, thrown together, and completely unappetizing. Bread and roll refills are nonexistent unless you beg for them. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant is unacceptable, and the quality of the food has declined to the point where it is genuinely disappointing. What was once a reliable, enjoyable dining experience has turned into a frustrating and unpleasant one. This was our final visit. We will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to reconsider before wasting their time and money here. read more

Our family used to love gathering at this Provino's over a decade ago, and we decided to give it a try for the sake of nostalgia. We waited for nearly 20 minutes after being seated for our server, and then it took another solid hour for our food to arrive after ordering. The tables and everything on them were sticky, and there was a used plate left upside in one of our seats. The Chicken Marsala dish was horrific, and we didn't even bother sharing that it was one of our guest's birthdays because the entire experience was already so disappointing. The ambiance is always so inviting and so many of my friends enjoy the eggplant dish. Tonight, my husband had the sausage and peppers and pasta. He mentioned the pasta was heavily undercooked. My daughter had spaghetti and meatballs, she ate the two meatballs and that was it she said that it was extremely tart! Now as for our server he was amazing and kind. I really enjoyed his service. He never missed a beat and made us feel so welcome! He accommodated my dietary restrictions and that's so important. I have so many issues with food! Provino's is your local taste of Italy restaurant, that's down the street. Located in a convenient shopping plaza, with plenty of parking. We went there today for my girlfriends birthday and they offer a free birthday entree plus dessert! When we walked in I immediately enjoyed the classical Italian decorations and ambience, which really gave an authentic Italian dining experience. The service was friendly and we were seated quickly. For appetizers we ordered the fried artichoke hearts served with a side of olive oil and parsley for dipping and it was pretty good. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For our entrees I got the Italian sausage in a meat sauce with a side of pasta. The cheese was very melty and the sausage was delicious. We also got the angel hair dalvina, but we subbed fettucini instead, in Alfredo sauce. Sauce was creamy and delicious. Our meal also came with a salad and bread rolls topped with fresh garlic. And to end it all we got a Neapolitan birthday ice cream. Over all, we enjoyed our first time at Provino's, the food was good, the service was quick and friendly, and the ambience was old town Italian, and we enjoyed all of it! Provino's has been a long time favorite! The service is always top notch with kind wait staff. The restaurant is on the quieter side with nice "private" style booths and tables. It a great date night but it's also kid friendly. The food is always served piping hot and delicious. I was a little let down with the complimentary garlic rolls tonight's visit. It appears that the garlic is more like a purée and appeared to have a greenish tent. The waitress explained that the garlic can have this tent when it's out of season for garlic. However, it was also very hot/spicy/pungent too. We normally love how the rolls are covered in butter and minced garlic but this was overkill. We for the first time in history asked for plain rolls with the garlic butter on the side. Bring back the old version!! Other than that, everything was magnificent as always! We had a very large group that spent over six months planning an event. The manager at no time would provide written details of the plans we agreed upon. At the meeting three days out from the party he was openly hostile and would not even walk back to the rooms we had reserved to talk through the final details but promised that he had all the plans in his head. When we arrived two of the rooms were not arranged anything like our requests. The wait staff assigned to our group asked if everything was set up correctly and moved a number of tables around to make the situation somewhat better. The staff were all exemplary. Throughout the night they engaged with our members and provided a very positive experience. They deserve a 5 star rating for service. The kitchen was swamped the entire night which left us with the salad and bread courses as the only food to eat for 60 to 90 minutes. One couple never got their food. This was an event that was designed to have two hours of time to mingle after eating and catch up with friends that we had not seen in decades but they were chained to the separate rooms because of the snail like progress of food coming out of the kitchen. And amazingly, in my room at least, at no time did the man in charge, or any other manager, come through to inform us of timelines or reasons for the delay. Nor did he come into our spaces when the planners of event were packing up our gear to leave. I guess my old fashioned expectations that in a service business you might actually provide some customer service. The food was fairly good for the price. When you have a group of over 110 you expect an experience that is somewhat lesser than a group of 25 would get but this was sub-standard and amateurish. I will close with this. Had a great meal last night at Provino's. The calimari and fried ravioli were good starters. The calimari was a little more heavily battered than classic RI calimari but was good anyways. I had linguini and red clam sauce. It was full of clams and I actually liked the "no shells" on the plate approach. My wife had the shrimp and scallops over angel hair pasta. The scallops were plump and it was well prepared. My son had the 4 pasta dish. The sausage was really good. We weren't overly impressed with the meatball. (Hard to beat homemade, sorry).
