There are a lot of negative reviews about the owner, and I think they should be taken with a grain of salt as I have always had a positive experience here with her. I used to come here often when I was younger and my brother had baseball practice nearby, and she was ecstatic to see us again all these years later. She wanted a selfie so she could add it to her endearing wall of pictures that feature kids who grow up and still visit her store. She gave a discount "for the memories" and we left with a warm feeling. Goes to show you that kindness and community goes farther than anything else! read more

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS!!! We did not, and went anyways. No sample cups allowed "to control costs and manage hygiene." Half the fun of getting frozen yogurt, hell any ice cream shop, is trying samples and crafting your bowl. I have to assume since the only person working was the owner that she is serious about controlling costs by not having to pay any employees. We just walked out, terrible experience and hope someone new takes over this franchise soon. read more

The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional, she only gave us 1 small test cup and gave us "rules" to follow, only use it once and that's all you get. As we continued to fill our cups with ice cream, a little bit had fallen out of the cup onto the side of it, therefore we licked it... obviously, and immediately after, she scorned us saying that it is not hard to miss the "big target" of a cup. I therefore said, "it is actually kinda hard" and then she laughed at my face and said no it is not!!! So stingy with icecream the company provides, clearly her earnings are very little. read more

Cute little shop with a nice little seating area out front! We were greeted promptly upon entrance. As with the DIY yogurt places, we reviewed the flavors on offer for the day, finding several options, one of which was sugar free (chocolate mint) and a vegan option (dark chocolate mousse), plus more typical flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and tart, and fun flavors like a pineapple coconut smoothie (great summer option!) and an Oreo birthday cake! There was a great selection of topping options, including fruits, candies, nuts (clearly labelled), even brownies! At check out, the friendly staff person provided us with napkins and their signature cute reusable spoons. We enjoyed sitting out front to enjoy our yogurt concoctions! We loved the frozen yogurt. It was very very tasty. However, the service and the people working there were not so friendly. First off they opened 20 minutes late from what it said on the sign that they were already opening late. And when we walked in, they did not have the Fruit toppings, or the other bakes toppings, ready to go even though they were already late to open. When we walked in, we thought we were going to be greeted with a smile, but that was not our case as the lady behind the counter gave us attitude when the frozen yogurt machine only squirted out liquid and not frozen yogurt. I would recommend other places nearby if you're looking for friendlier service. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. The yogurt was mediocre in contrast to other locations. However, the customer service was horrendous. immediately upon entering, we were greeted by an uncomfortable atmosphere. The assumed owner was instantly staring at us. She continued to watch our every move while serving ourselves. She refused us any sample cup which is a vital part of the menchies franchise. She scolded my boyfriend in a condescending and belittling tone for how he was retrieving his toppings. She then proceeded to force us to wait to pay while she gathered snacks for herself from the toppings. This lady was incredibly rude and totally worth not giving any business again. ;( read more

I love Menchie's in many locations but this location I am finished with. The owner hovers over you when the allowed samples and now we were told it's corporate policy not to give samples. So 2 days later we are in another city and stopped at a Menchie's and surprise they still let you sample so I asked and was told there's no corporate policy about not giving samples - so she's rude and she lies. Drove through the area coming from Chicago, and decided to stop in for a quick yogurt. The first thing you feel upon entering is that something is definitely off. The lady with dark ebony, curly hair (apparently the owner) approaches you and /demands/ that she serves you your sample flavor (one that you are compelled to know before entering). She then serves you, with exact precision, half of a small sample cut and cuts off any excess yogurt if it's too large a sample. I have never seen someone control their 'samples' in such a way, nor have I met an owner that bashes you for asking for a sample in the first place with patronizing comments such as 'you sure you don't want any more samples? You know they're free'. After leaving, I decided to check the reviews for this location, and... it stunned me to read how others have had similar--to worse experiences with this woman. I've seen how she reacts to negative reviews and critiques, therefore I'm sure she'll read and respond to me-- so let me simply say this; if you plan on keeping your business afloat, then I suggest you either a) change your attitude or b) hire employees to tend to your business for you if you do not know to to relate to people, or even properly socialize with them. The people that walk through your door are your PAYING customers. They should not leave feeling discriminated, degraded, or ashamed. Albeit, I know the customer is not always right, but after so many many customers try to reach out and complain... maybe it's time to accept that the problem is you. Nobody is superior to anyone. Children will be children, and every person has a different personality. The owner was so kind and friendly that we came back a second night in a row. She recognized us and greeted us with a smile and said she was excited to see us back. When we were leaving, she asked when we would be back to see her (we live out of town and she remembered that from last night). She also made my kids feel welcome and comfortable. I was so pleased with our visit to Menchie's today. My daughter has an egg allergy and eating out can be stressful. The person working was so helpful and showed us where all the allergen information was posted or kept in the store. She treated my 2 young kids nicely and the yogurt was delicious. I took my wife and parents this place over the weekend and it was our first time there (recently moved to Ohio). Although thisnplace had less options, I still liked 2 flavors. However, with my experience in the store we will not be visiting this location again. The lady in the store laid out 5 sample cups for us to try. I asked her for a spoon, and she made a snooty comment for not carrying them. My mother not knowing tried to re-use the cup to try another sample, the lady yelled at her and told her not to. I get it's their rule, but she didn't know how to talk nicely. Don't we use the same cup to add more than 1 flavour anyway? She had advertised a $5 off if you download the app advertisement everywhere. So my wife downloaded the app. As she was doing that, the lady told us to keep moving and not block the store.. THERE WAS NOBODY IN THAT STORE BESIDES US!!! When my wife weighed hers in the end and paid, she mentioned the app only to hear from the lady, "Of course you do, that's why I was waiting for forever," Maybe she needs to learn how to talk to customers or maybe how to be nice in general. There are other frozen yogurt places nearby we can try next time. You will be losing business from us 4 for sure. read more

The offerings, food quality, and cleanliness are fine but we are DONE with this location due to how uncomfortable we are made to feel every single time when we go there. She has treated my children rude, my in-laws rude, and my elderly father rude as they have tried their best to be as neat as possible, pay as quickly as possible and generally try to not take up space in her presence because of her judgments. To begin with the positive: the quality of the frozen yogurt was great, and they have among the best selection of toppings compared to other froyo venues around Cincinnati. Nonetheless, I cannot justify returning to this Menchie's location. The owner was incredibly rude, and I will not in good conscious continue to give her business. She leaves out sample cups, but apparently REALLY doesn't want you to use them. I took two sample cups, and mid-way through filling my second cup, she addressed me and said, "Have you made a decision? I don't want you to get full before you purchase anything. I have to pay my rent you know!" I get it: I'm sure she occasionally has rude patrons who will gorge themselves on 10 free samples and not buy anything. But that is not what happened with me. I got two small sample cups, which was apparently unacceptable in her eyes. To confront a customer as she did shows a total lack of understanding about professionalism and customer service. It is fortunate that she is the franchise owner, otherwise she would certainly be out of a job. read more
