Munchies will always have a sense of nostalgia for me. The chain has been around for a long time and has always been pretty consistent. This shop is no different. Delivers consistent quality of food although depending on your time of arrival it may be a little less than clean. Still a great place to go for your FroYo's. The place is well maintained and clean . We did figure out that they have smaller cups so if you are there only to get a small fix of dessert, ask the counter for the smaller cups. Cute restaurant...yummy yogurt and flavors but I was shocked at the $25 price for my daughters full cup and my half cup of yogurt! Then the cashier is like "one more question up here" I look at the register and she's asking for a tip! Tip for WHAT exactly? I dished up my yogurt...I walked it over to the register...and I'm paying for what I have. What am I tipping her for? Showing up for work? That's called a paycheck. I'm over this place. My kids and I enjoy coming here, but it seems like it might be going downhill a little. On our last visit we put frozen yogurt into our ice cream cup and it came out runny and tasted really watered down. It melted to liquid before my toddler even started eating. We stick with just getting vanilla when we visit now. The chalk my kids look forward to using on their chalk board was all 1/4 inch in length and unusable. This place is pretty legit. Seriously, the ice cream does not taste very good, but I come for loading in all the toppings. The boba and mochi, are my favorite, boba=delicate pearls that explode in your mouth for a heavenly taste . I'm an eater, always have been. Not just a nibbler, or a snacker, like a full blown I'm still hungry after both my dinner and my accompanied snack. So of course after going out to dinner I still had room for some dessert. Menchies is and will always be the most chill and relaxed place. They're so welcoming, they give you free trials of any of their flavors, and have loads of toppings to add to your personal creation. I'm a big chocolate person and more recently started getting into nuts (maybe I AM the nutty one after all...) so I thoroughly enjoyed my mixture of cafe late and milk chocolate (two separate flavors) with almond, peanut, and crushed Andes mints on top. I also like menchies because you can go there with your girlfriends to gossip, your mom to catch up, your family as a treat after soccer practice, or with your boyfriend as a cute little date. Wonderful fro-yo place with friendly customer service. I liked their black cherry frozen yogurt flavor and took advantage on that opportunity for a bowl. They have clean toppings in containers and not lay out in an open bar where other people could touch or breathe on. Each toppings were covered. My mom told me about this great new fro-yo shop she wanted to take me to... Menchies! The price is right at 40 cents an ounce. Make-your-own pay by the ounce frozen yogurt is not a new concept to me, but the Menchies franchise is. The store is very bright, polka-dotted, clean, well labeled, and cutesy. The yogurt itself is very good, very rich, and very creamy. I believe there were over 10 options available including tart, berry tart, peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, cake batter, and strawberry banana. I like the the way toppings are laid out and labeled, but the layout is likely to create a traffic jam when the store is busy for people who want to create layers of toppings/yogurt. (I like double-sided buffet style counters, but I'm sort of a snob when it comes to my fro-yo.) The shop was full of youngsters when we arrived. We sat in what looks like a separate room with a glass door for... private birthday parties? (Or what about baby showers? Who wouldn't love a fro-yo party?) The employees were rather detached from the fun atmosphere, and nobody asked me if I wanted to try a sample which is usually the case with most fro-yo locations. I'd like them to kick it up a notch! I hope this location survives the winter, and I'll be back to check on their progress. read more

Came in here today about a half hour after opening. The flavors of the frozen yogurt where tasty and genuine. I really enjoyed the cake batter and the salted caramel. However, maybe because it was so close to opening, a lot of the flavors were still watery. When we got sample cups it got all over our hands. There was a good variety of fruit for the PNW. Had yogurt here today. The worst that I have ever had. My wife and I have been regulars here for years . The product at this location is barley eatable, very " Watered Down Product ", with crunchy ice crystals forming within the yogurt. In addition the crazy owner requires masks and gloves ! This location has a permitted, reduced capacity, yet will not allow any seating in the store. To eat, customers must either try and get the product home in the 115 degree weather, or eat in your car. I recently drove from my hood to munchies with some friends visiting from California to have ice cream before we headed home for the day. I asked to use the restroom after such a long drive and was told no. Doesn't Menchies sound like a disease? Like, "Dude step back, I have the Menchies" :/ Despite it's silly name this FroYo shop is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Vancouver. The flavor selections are creative (i.e. peanut butter cups and red velvet cake) and they change all the time so you can grab a little sample cup and try something new every time. There are lots of different toppings-- candy, nuts, cereal, fruit, cookies, chocolate, and all different kinds of syrups and sauces. I like to split my cup up into 1/2 coffee (w/ chocolate coffee beans and oreo cookies) and 1/2 mango sorbet (w/ lots of fresh fruit and mochi balls :) The seating area has about 15 small tables, a good portion of which are inside this funny plexiglass room. There are a few public chalkboards which the high school demographic likes to use for shout-outs and poorly drawn pictures. When they are not eating here the same kids are working here. They are moody, but you don't have to rely on them for much so it's okay. Bring your friends and fam, Menchies is contagious. read more

Menchies regularly carries Dole Whip (ok, it's called Dole Pineapple Sorbet or something but who are they kidding - its DOLE WHIP). This alone earns them a 5 star rating. This just made my list for best fro-yo in town. While most places in Portland use Yo Cream (and therefore have nothing but toppings and location sto stand them apart), Menchie's actually offersa wide-variety of great flavors. Everything has a smooth, natural taste without being overly sweet. My only dislike is that the place is so happy inside, it's creepy. While I don't mind a free yogurt stamp or figurine for every purchase, when I hear the cashier say "Have a Smiley Day!" it makes me want to decapitate someone. read more
