You might not expect to find an amazing sandwich shop at this Liquor store- but that is the greatest local secret. The liquor store guy is a total sweetheart and always so polite and kind. The sandwhich part is to the left upon entry. What is so amazing about these sandwiches are the spiraled veggies that top your sandwich! So fresh! Includes beets! Just a pile of fresh vitamins that tastes amazing on whatever you get. The minimum you might get is the "Werks" but the super variety would be the "Twerks"- which I always go for. Now, they don't top the sandwich as tall as when I was first brought here- but nonetheless no one makes such a delicious sandwich & as unique as this. It can be hard to decide but just ask for help- they are great at helping you. I tend to get the "Hot Mama" like I am. Lol And my kids love this sandwich in a green tortilla and hummus and veggies- hold the jalapeños called the "Vulcan Wrap" with almond pesto and the twerks. Everyone they bring they try this. The ambiance is a liquor store in Marin city by the house boats and next to the freeway and bike trails between Sausalito and Mill Valley. Choose your drink and chips or whatever else and take your sandwich ticket to the liquor store checkout-you will see some amazing cookies and brownies too! Yes! They are good too! A surprising & special stop. Our family tries to remember to come regularly. Oft forgotten but so exciting when we remember! Enjoy and don't miss out if you haven't been yet!

Finding a LEGIT Deli is not easy to find. Thankfully I was told about Davey Jones as I had high expectations coming from a friend. All I can say is legit and turkey tasted like it was from your mother's Thanksgiving dinner. Super fresh and super delicious. Thank you!!

What a hidden gem! It is located within a convenience store and there isn't really signage about it that's big and obvious - just a small standing board outside so keep your eyes open! Big menu with lots of options from different types of meat to vegetarian. The menu is slightly confusing and difficult to read so we asked one of the employees their favorite and went with those options. You order at the counter and pay at the register on the opposite side so make sure to pick up some drinks and snacks on the way! Only gave it a 4/5 because it was a slightly confusing experience, the staff seemed less than excited for us to order something, and there isn't any seating anywhere.

Deli in a convenience store. Very local feel and excellent sandwiches to take on our excursion into Marin Headlands! Super friendly local staff also.

I had googled sandwich shops on our way from Napa to San Francisco and came across this place. I was a little surprised when we got there it was in a bait shop market and wasn't a cute cafe, but tried it anyway! And I am so glad I did! I mean...can we talk about this sandwich?! OMG. YUM! The TBA - Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado with the Works (Lettuce, Arugula, Seasonal Fruit Compote, Spicy Mustard, Red Onion, Roma Tomato, Purple Pickle, Cilantro, Roasted Garlic and Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauces, Fresh Lemon, Toasted Sesame, Salt, and Pepper). Also, the staff was SO excited about their sandwiches - which was awesome. Looking for a sandwich? GO HERE!

This is a small sandwich bar in a corner market. The sandwich was really bad. We had a turkey white boy special on Dutch crunch with the "works" which means the VERY basics. No pickles, no peppercini or olives or anything. It had zero flavor. The turkey meat was awful. Tough, chewy dark thigh meat with tendons and such still attached. The only positive was the friendly man at the checkout.

Stopped in here the other day for lunch. It's in a tackle shop/c store so take note of that when searching for it. You order at the deli counter then bring your receipt to the cashier. I got the white boy supreme and it was pretty decent. Price is a little high but that's the area.

We stumbled upon this place after hiking near Mt. Tam. It's located inside the New Bait Shop Market. They have a big menu. We tried the Booty Bowl and Uncle (both $10). I loved the Booty Bowl. I initially thought it was small, but because the salad bowl has no leafy veggie (instead is filled with cucumber, pepper, beets, apple, carrots, hummus etc.), the portion is quite generous and it's pretty filling. The sandwich is also delicious. I like how they cut it in half and individually wrap each half. I agree with some other reviews the sandwich is on the smaller end. I thought the price was reasonable for Sausalito. I recommend giving it a try!

Yummy turkey sandwich! A bit pricey and - this is key- I get the Works with yellow mustard. The default spicy mustard is too intense!

I ordered the giant cinnamon roll and a large oatmeal cookie to take on the road. Unfortunately, neither lived up to my expectations. The cinnamon roll was more like plain bread with very little cinnamon flavor or frosting, and the oatmeal cookie tasted more like flour than oats or spices. As an SF native who's tried a lot of great bakeries, this one just didn't stand out. I really wanted to love it because the setting is so relaxing and beautiful, but the baked goods fell short for me.

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more We went with a group of friends for the first time, the day before Father's day, for a father's day celebration. This place has a nice typical burger-joint kind of vibe. We were worried about getting a seat since we were a group of 10, but we got seated within 5 mins of arriving, no reservations needed. Ordered: 1) Napa Truffle Fries: 5/5 2) Seasoned Fried: 4/5 3) Silverado Veggie Burger: 5/5 - Housemade patty. Omg, this was delicious! Being a vegetarian, I always love patties that are made in-house rather than the kinds like impossible patties, which I truly can't stand. 4) Grilled Cheese Sandwich (from the kid's menu) - for my 5 year old. It came with fries and she finished it all. She mentioned it was really yum. 5) Some fruit mix drink (non-alcoholic): 5/5 - can't remember the name, but it was amazing. Service was fairly quick, considering it was a busy Father's day weekend. Next time I am in Sausalito, I am definitely coming back!

We were in the area hoping to get some fresh coastal air and looking for something simple and non-complicated to eat like a sandwich. This was exactly what I needed. This old school deli has an entire wall of refrigerators with every type of drink that fits your needs -water, juices, soda, beer, wine, and everything in between. There are plenty of sandwich options and plenty of refrigerated side dishes available to go with them. The owners were lovely (and patient). My daughter ordered a reuben on dark rye. I ordered pastrami on sliced sourdough. We each took half of the other's and shared a bag of air baked Kettle chips. We initially thought we would take our sandwiches to go and find a spot to eat them on a bench along the water side. However, there were several tables in the back, both indoor and outdoor in the garden. It was a perfect sunny, mild day and it was not terribly busy during this time, so we chose to enjoy our sandwiches there on a table next to open French doors. Ever since I first heard about Fish oh so long ago, I'd been wanting to try them, but just never had much of a reason to come here. Other than to, you know, eat here. However, I had so much faith, in fact, that I even recommended this place to my buddy before I even made my way here. Thankfully, they didn't let me down, as both he and his wife loved the food here! More importantly, now that I've been, so do we! Although it takes a little bit of work to find them (they're on Bridgeway, but away from the touristy part and set back in a marina), Fish is well worth the effort. Not only is the vibe cozy and relaxed, but they've got a ton of seating both inside and out (love sitting by the water!). And, of course, the menu is awesome, as it's filled with so many options, from chowders, raw oysters, and salads to seafood entrees, pastas, and, of course, fish & chips. Plus, they also have menu boards highlighting the day's selection of raw oysters, crab, fresh fish, special entrees, "fish bits", and desserts that are just as interesting and unique! -- WHITE CHOWDER - Traditional New England Clam Chowder with Surf Clams, Cream, Bacon, Potatoes, Onion, Celery, White Wine, and Dried Herbs This was terrific! Although it could've been slightly thicker/chunkier, I liked the consistency of this - smooth but with chunks of potatoes. I also really liked how tender and meaty the clam was, too! -- RAW OYSTERS - Shigoku Oysters (WA) I had never even heard of Shigoku oysters before these, but they were terrific! The oysters were about medium sized with deep shells, which made them super to eat and I liked how they had a bit of sweetness and a bright finish to them. -- WHOLE ROASTED DUNGENESS CRAB with Tomato Sugo Drawn From Roasted Crab Shells over Soft Polenta I don't often order whole crabs like this at restaurants, but this was undeniably tasty. Aside from how messy this was to eat, the crab was sweet, the legs were pretty meaty, and I really liked how the sugo helped reinforce the taste of crab with the polenta. -- PASTA CON VONGOLE - Clams Served over Fresh Housemade Organic Egg and Semolina Linguine with Olive Oil, Butter, White Wine, Garlic, and Red Chili Flake LOVED that they didn't skimp on the clams, which were all so good, as well as the sauce and how it had a slight kick to it. The pasta had a very bouncy bite, too, but I wish there had been more of it and that it was able to hold onto the sauce better. -- FISH & CHIPS - Crispy Beer-Battered Local Rock Cod Served with Housemade Tartar Sauce and Wedge Fries Maybe my hopes/expectations were too high, as this was more decent than amazing. Mainly, while the batter was crispy-ish on the outside, it was a bit mushy on the inside. Still, the cod itself was pretty good and I liked the fries - crisp and not too potato-y. -- GRILLED CALIFORNIA HAMACHI with Housemade Pasta, Shishito Pepper-Cilantro Pesto, and Parmesan I'm so glad we pivoted to this when we saw it on the board - it was so good! The piece of hamachi was sizable, moist, and flavorful while the pasta was just as bouncy and held onto the sauce. If only they didn't use cilantro in their pesto (blech). Despite how Fish's food didn't amaze like how I had hoped it would, I think that has a lot more to do with the high hopes (expectations?) that had built up from the anticipation of finally coming here than anything else. Really, the only thing that might have been an actual bummer was the Fish & Chips, but even then, it was still notably better than others I've had. Besides, it's not like there's a shortage of delicious to pivot to instead! Fish, you'll definitely be seeing me again!
