    Quinoa quesadilla
    Maggie C.

I came to Cafe del Soul for a lunch pit stop in the middle of a long bike ride. It was the perfect stop: outdoor seating with a light but filling lunch, and not too far off the bike path. I ordered online even though I was right outside since I didn't have a bike lock. My food was ready in about 10 minutes. I got the quinoa quesadilla - and wow, it was massive! I could barely eat 3/4 of it. I was impressed with how flavorful the quinoa itself was. The quinoa was cooked very well - it didn't have any of the bitter taste from not rinsing it thoroughly. The staff was really nice. I didn't want to waste the last piece, but had no way to take the box on my ride, so they gave me some parchment paper to wrap the last piece in. Perfect to slip into my bike jersey pocket! This place will probably be my go to lunch spot whenever I pass through on a bike ride!

Maybe overpriced for a rice bowl, but man it does hit the spot when you're looking for a healthy lunch! I'd recommend getting double protein since they only give you a tiny scoop of chicken. The flavor is really good and the rice is cooked perfectly! The smoothie was all naturally sweetened with honey and dates as well which was a plus.

This was a nice place. I mean, a place that sounds like it will touch your soul? All in! Haha, I had myself a quinoa quesadilla. It was good and definitely soul-soothing. It was also fun since I tried to eat it, and the small quinoa grains came pouring out haha. I ended up eating it like a half-quesadilla, half-bowl/plate! I believe they have 2 locations and it was my first time dining in this location. I shall return!

    Clean restaurant.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant/shop, easy parking, fresh and delicious food. My only complaint is they didn't put the price on their menu, making it very difficult to budget. And the food turned out to be pretty pricey given the regular sized portion. -Quinoa Wrap: Quinoa, spinach, jack cheese, feta cheese, black beans and avocado tossed in chipotle dressing, served in a spinach tortilla. I ordered this and it was delicious. It tasted fresh and clean. I could almost feel it nourishing my body with every bite. I'd get this again. The staff also offered us a hot sauce, and I'm so glad we said yes because their hot sauce was good - smoky, spicy, and slightly sweet. It was perfect with their food. - Chipotle Sunrise: Brown rice, cheddar cheese, tomato, avocado and onion tossed in chipotle dressing, served in a spinach tortilla. I didn't eat this. - Quinoa Quesadilla: A blend of Monterey jack and feta cheeses melted, topped and smooshed with quinoa, spinach, black beans, avocado and tossed in chipotle dressing in a spinach tortilla. I didn't eat this, but I imagine it tastes similar to Quinoa Wrap.

We stopped in randomly this weekend for a bite to eat after a hike in the Marin Headlands. I ordered a bowl and added chicken. Overall, it was pretty good, and I appreciated the ordering system (though, it automatically left an open tab and closed it before I finished, without giving me the opportunity to leave a tip). I thought the price was a bit outrageous, as my bowl ended up being $19 with the addition of a tiny amount of chicken. Not sure if I would return, but I wouldn't discourage others from coming.

This is a really cute spot in Mill Valley. The workers were all very nice. There are such a large amount of vegetarian and gluten free options which is great for me and partner because I am a vegetarian and he has celiac. I got the Sunrise Wrap and it was really tasty. The chipotle flavor is really good with a mild spice kick. It was very satiating to eat. The food all feels very clean and healthy which is nice. Most definitely will be back again!

Food was cold and tasted like microwaved frozen food. Coffee tasted terrible. Bad customer service from the cashier.

My boyfriend's eggs were runny despite having asked for them to be scrambled hard. My niece didn't like her pancakes, and the group generally felt the food was bland. The service was also spotty. After remaking my boyfriend's eggs they forgot his toast. Then when the toast came they forgot the jam. The waitress didn't ask about drink refills, though she did refill my coffee. The ambiance was fine, but not the special holiday brunch spot we had imagined. Next time we'll find a different Larkspur restaurant.

I had what I always get at delis: matzo ball soup and a pastrami sandwich. The matzo balls were hard and thick, which is one of the two ways to make matzo balls, the other being soft and fluffy. This way isn't wrong, but the other is better. The broth is good, but there was no shredded chicken in it, just tiny cubes of inconsistently cooked vegetable, celery and onion and I'm not sure what all else. The pastrami was quite lean but managed to be fairly juicy. I'm pretty sure it was made from brisket, which is not the canonical pastrami cut. The important part is that it tasted like pastrami and not like brisket, which a lot of would-be pastramis can't manage. Get it "tradition" style on rye with deli mustard. Small place in a yuppie shopping center. Order at the counter, wait (a very short time) for your food to be brought to your table or counter spot. Daily newspapers for you to read.

The resulting vibes of inconvenience when they had to back out the item and then try to figure out how to refund me? I told them to keep the difference because the service took such a noticeable dip. Although they have quite a bit of seating, when I got my fries the flavor just wasn't there and even though piping hot some pieces were still raw in the middle. Finally, the quality on my side of pastrami wasn't good and after googling it apparently they buy from a confidential source. Overall, in my experience their food tasted like lower level diner fare and I threw out most of it out.

Despite the Friday night chaos (seriously, where did all these hungry people come from?), we scored a table faster than you can say 'table for four!' We went full family-style and ordered enough food to feed a small army: Crispy Angel Wings - sweet, spicy, finger-lickin' good, and frankly, slightly addictive. If there's a rehab for wings, sign me up. BBQ Pork Garlic Noodles - so packed with garlic you might ward off vampires for a week. (Worth it!) Braised Beef Short Ribs - the coconut tomato curry was so good it could probably solve world peace. Or at least a hangry meltdown. Burmatown Bao - the kids inhaled these little taco-bun hybrids before we could even steal a bite. Blink and you'll miss them! Our waitress was a total rockstar--friendly, fast, and somehow able to remember our complicated order without writing it down. Superpowers? Maybe. No regrets, no complaints. Just happy bellies, a lingering craving for more wings, and a unanimous family decision: we'd come back in a heartbeat... if we're ever in Corte Madera again!

We thought okay, good time to try different dishes. After a forty minute wait, we reminded our server of our order. We could see how much was going on but other tables who had come after us had been served. She apologized profusely. She had forgotten to enter our order. We waited some more and I finally asked her if we could be served something quick to prepare like the tea leaf salad. This came. Delicious as always. We asked that the rest of our order be comped and this was granted. When our order came, the hoisin ribs were outstanding; the mushroom medley garlic noodles were missing the mushrooms; the green bean shrimp stir fry had tough inedible green beans. We left all the green beans and the rice which was dry and compacted, not fluffy at all. This is not at all the usual high caliber of cooking you normally get at Burmatown. Lesson learned. Remind the server sooner. We were one of the earlier tables and finished as the second to the last table at lunch service. We will be back for the outstanding hoisin ribs, the mushroom noodles and of course, the terrific chicken pumpkin curry which is normally available.

The fried fish I had was crispy and tender, and the nachos and poke were fresh and crunchy chipped. We left with tight belts. It was busy and lively (but not overly busy), and we enjoyed sitting outside on the large patio. In general, everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered the poke plate, my boyfriend ordered the two piece fish and chips, and we shared a half dozen oysters. The oysters tasted great (I thought they were briney and complemented well with hot sauce) but were small and probably not worth $4 per. I loved the flavor of the poke and the plate was a generous serving size. My boyfriend liked the crispiness and freshness of the fish and chips, but said there wasn't anything particularly special or standout. Our friends ordered various versions of the tacos and liked them, but they looked difficult to eat (small taco tortillas with heaping toppings!). There isn't much to mention for service since this restaurant does a line order, but it was interesting that waiters consistently tried to drop off the wrong food to our table. Otherwise, our actual food came out relatively quickly despite the lunch rush. I wouldn't go out of my way for the menu here, but it's a great stop for people biking through town or heading up north from the city!
