We had two laundry bags one clothes & the other towels. Come to find out the cheapest wash is $6.50 and it caps out at $11. That's crazy. I get that the owner is trying to justify the prices by saying that the machines are new , but the facility is very small and the AC does not work very well. It's very hot in there. And there is very limited seating. The original laundromat that my husband and I would go to at the north end of the lake is the brand new coin laundry and they're obviously brand new and the washes start at I believe $3.50 and cap out at $8.50. And the dryers are a quarter for six minutes. I can do the same two bags of laundry there for about $15-$20. And that seems way more reasonable than $13 just for the wash alone if the two bags fit in the smallest washer which they don't. So it would have been double for me to do the same laundry at this facility. And upon arrival, there is no rolling laundry baskets outside and there is a large sign stating that you cannot wash any pet items no pet blankets no pet beds no horse blankets. Basically you cannot wash any thing there if you have pets/pet items. -in response to your message I walked in, had a conversation with my husband, about the prices after I saw the prices, As my husband was already inside before I came in. Your machines are small and your condescending attitude and how you respond to the customers who leave you reviews that are not four or five stars is telling of the type of business owner that you are. I was looking around to see if there was another laundromat around and noticed that this one had a coffee bar in it. I was intrigued so I went to do my laundry there. The facility is very clean and welcoming. It doesn't look dirty like your typical laundromat. They have a variety of sizes of washing machines for your needs. There's even different size dryers . Washing and drying is done with an electronic card which you purchase there. You can purchase with cash or with a debit/credit card. They have a section where they sell soap/detergent, fabric softener sheets, etc. they even sell scented oils and candles for your home and even some pet toys. They also have a section where you can drop off your clothes and they'll take care of it for you. Now the coolest part is the coffee bar. You can order a coffee and a pastry to eat while you wait for your laundry to be done. Their coffee was pretty good and I had a strawberry scone, which was the best scone I've had. Not much of a scone person as I feel they are too dry but this one didn't crumble on me and it had really good flavor. There's plenty of seating. There's a bar area near the coffee ordering area, then there's tables on the side and some more outside. All in all. This was a very pleasant laundry experience. But what really sets The Mat apart is the entire experience. There's an incredibly comfortable lounge with a beautiful couch where you can actually relax while your laundry is going, plus an espresso bar with pastries that are seriously to die for. It feels more like a cool upscale lounge than a laundromat. They also offer Fluff & Fold service, which is something I definitely plan on using for my business. Having a place this nice that can also take laundry completely off your hands is a huge plus. The Mat took one of those chores nobody really looks forward to and somehow made it enjoyable. All of a sudden, laundry became fun! Beautiful facility, great atmosphere, fantastic equipment, and an experience unlike any laundromat I've ever been to. After losing a significant amount of weight due to illness and surgery, my gown needed extensive alterations. Maria completely transformed it and made it my own.
