I am extremely disappointed in the first half of my experience at this location. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Iris, who was dressed unprofessionally with her midriff exposed--completely inappropriate for a formalwear establishment. From the start, she was pushy and dismissive, immediately demanding that I fill out a rental tuxedo form for the wedding party without taking the time to actually listen to what I was saying. I explained multiple times that I was only there to get my fiancé measured for sizing purposes, and that I wasn't planning to rent from this location (we wanted to BUY) since I doubted they carried the color or fit we needed. Despite this, Iris insisted over and over that "this is our process" and refused to proceed unless I filled out the form--something I knew wasn't necessary. When I pointed out the exact suit I wanted my fiancé to try on just for size, she outright refused to let him try it and continued to push the paperwork. Her attitude only got worse--eye-rolling, scoffing, and blatantly ignoring what I was asking for. It was clear she had no interest in actually helping us and seemed more focused on forcing her way through a rigid process than offering customer service. She then abruptly walked away and handed us off to another associate. That associate was Jordan--thankfully. He was everything Iris was not: professional, respectful, and actually willing to listen. He immediately helped my fiancé into a suit, took accurate measurements, and confirmed that they didn't carry the color we needed. He didn't make us fill out a pointless form and instead offered helpful suggestions on where to find what we were looking for. He turned the entire experience around and deserves full credit for that. In the end, just as I originally said, we didn't need to fill out the form because they didn't offer what we were looking for. Iris wasted our time, made the experience stressful, and treated us with complete disregard. She lacks basic listening skills, interrupts constantly, and approaches customer interaction with an inflexible, almost combative attitude. If she's going to work in a customer-facing role, she needs serious training in professionalism and communication. Jordan saved this from being a 1-star review. His excellent service was the only redeeming part of our visit. I highly recommend working with him--just hope you don't get stuck with Iris first. read more

If I could give a negative review I would. If you're needing to do any business with Men's Wearhouse and you're thinking about going to this one because it's closer don't do it. I have had nothing but problems with this location. Every single one of my groomsman ended up getting overcharged. Luckily I did mine in midland and it was worth the drive. Abilene's location, they do not communicate within their staff and never know what is going on. I had to even three-way call midlands location to have them refund them their money. Location: 3550 Catclaw Dr, Abilene, TX 79606, United States. I called in to be sure my father look had been received for his appointment today July 30, 2021. I spoke with Misty, store rental manager (not sure if she gave me the correct name because she asked her coworker Eli to give it). She began to tell me they do not service suits of a party of one and do not be surprised if our suit is not the exact look since we had just needed my fathers rental alone. Misty also began to have sass once I explained to her my father is an individual booking that I wish not to add to my fiancé's. Misty tells me to call another store because she's not going to be able to do so. I asked could I create his booking with Misty over the phone since she had decline my group several times. She gave me a number of 866.211.0831 to call and Instructed I asked them to help me because she can't. Call was at 9:56am Central Time. I called the number 866.211.0831 and spoke to a young lady who also placed a complaint on the file as she instructed me that Misty was able to help and refused to when she was capable of doing so. I was able to complete my fathers look in less than 5 mins. I called the store back to give the exact same code back to them and express my father appointment information. Eli answered the phone. She answer and said you must be the one who gave the wrong PIN number and had the wrong pants. I also shared I was the incorrect customer. I expressed to Eli I have the group code needed for my fathers appointment. Eli sarcastic/sassy/rude explain, well if Misty said you don't have a code than I can help you. I cried out multiple times to both individually in both calls at this store location and they Both have the WORST ATTITUDES IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Eli told me "if I put your father on some pants he can't fit, it's not my fault it'll be yours because that's what you want us to do right" She also proceeded to tell me, she didn't care about anything I had previous had concerns regarding my fathers appointment. I also shared I had filed complaint because every word I shared she over talked me she and Misty both will over y'all you and make you feel small. I also recorded our conversation. If I continue it would be the longest message. I would not recommend this store. I have heard so many negative things regarding the two and it just my luck I have to experience the same encounter. Please pull the call log and listen to how Eli / Misty both talk to your valuable customers. I do not believe the names are correct because the both did not want to share their information so I would speak with their supervisors. We will never used Men's Warehouse again! read more

It has been almost a year since I experienced the excellent service at Men's Wearhouse in Abilene (February 2019). I meant to review much sooner than this, but time has flown by. I had traveled from my home in North Carolina to Lubbock and then Snyder to say goodbye to my father for the last time. After his passing, I realized I had no clothes for a funeral. I walked through the door the evening before the funeral and explained what I needed. Melanie helped me find a suit that would look good for the funeral and I ended up buying an additional suit. I explained to her that I didn't have time for a "real" alteration, but she got her tailor to make the needed alterations to at least one pair of pants. They were all very understanding and I appreciated the excellent service they all provided. read more

The Abilene, Texas store is a major disappointment. All you have to do is search for this location and you will see most complaints revolve around the manager. I purchased a suit jacket at this location. I was assured by the sales consultant and inhouse tailor my concerns could be addressed. After 2 weeks, the standard turn time for an alteration, we were told my jacket was ready. Once at the store to try it on absolutely nothing had been done to the jacket. The original chalk markings were still there. The sales associate apologized and told me the jacket would be done that day. They called 1 hour later and told me it wasn't possible to have it done that evening but they would 100% have it done by the next day. Three days later, they call again, and tell me my jacket is ready. I go back to the store and try it on. 1 out 2 problems was fixed. I told the associate I wasn't happy but took the jacket because we were out of time. We took it to another tailor and they explained, due to the poor workmanship previously done, they could not fix the jacket. They wouldn't even take it and try, no one touched the jacket other the Men's Wearhouse inhouse tailor. The Men's Wearhouse return policy is that the each store location manager has the discretion to refund an altered item. The manager told me 3 times she was not ALLOWED to return altered items. I showed her the return policy and then she offered me in store credit, which I have no use for. She once again stated that offering me store credit was something she wasn't supposed to but was trying to help me. I again, showed her the return policy, and told her it was her decision and that was she choosing to not return the jacket even after the sales consultant in question backed up my chain of events. This was an expensive mistake and we won't be returning. I am only leaving this review in hopes that others read it and avoid this location all together. read more

We were just in Men's Wearhouse getting tuxes for my cousins wedding and most of the staff were great. Misty, however, is off somehow. During our visit to the store, she went out the back door and let out a scream I can only describe as blood-curdling. We thought someone had been killed. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior and will not be recommending this location. Most of all, we paid over $300 to rent two tuxedos and Misty ruined the experience for us. I don't even want to rate this store a one star. I would suggest no one go there. From the moment my fiancé and his best man walked in they were treated horribly. The lady at the front desk looked up, smiled, took one look at them and her smile faded. When they were asked what they could help them find. My fiancé showed them a picture and the lady who asked took one look at him and pointed to a different side of the store. When my mom and I arrived and we heard what had happened. We went in and there were two associates at the desk. One leaning. The other one sitting. And it was like their conversation was more important than helping us find anything. When my mom finally got their attention. Told the associate that we wanted to buy a tux for a wedding. He acted like we were wasting his time. Told us there was nothing for him to try on. There would be nothing that he would like there. Basically told us to leave because they assumed we couldn't afford anything. Needless to say, we did end up leaving. Not because we couldn't afford anything. But because of how we were treated. The lady at the front counter as we were leaving ignored us. We were invisible. I will make sure to tell everyone I know. And everyone I come to know that this store is so not worth wasting your time at. Also. My fiancé and my mother called their corporate office. Hoping something is done. Maybe then they will get their head out of their asses and start treating people with respect. read more

The place seems clean, but lacks customer service. If you run into Misty, turn the other way and spend your money elsewhere. I'm a very passive person, and I've literally received better customer service at the local bazaar in Afghanistan and they didn't even speak English!? Throughout our whole interaction, this lady didn't look at me once, didn't ask anything except "what's your shoe size?" and "you owe me $230, how much do you wanna pay right now?" When she was looking for my coat size, she was angrily going through each coat trying to find the right size, banging the hangers on the rack until she came across the right one. I paid the full $230 rental fee upfront so i won't have to go back into the store again until my tux comes in. If it weren't for "Bridezilla", I would have rented anywhere else but here. Unfortunately, there isn't many options in Abilene. The products themselves are fine, and high quality. The associates in the store are helpful and attentive. The manager was actually quite rude to us when we arrived for a 'fitting session'. She treated us like children, and was pretty disinterested that we were there. She was the one who set the appointment in the first place. Upon hearing good things about the tailor here, I made my way with some suits and pants I needed to be altered. Having no days off in my job and living an hour and a half away, I was very much looking forward to taking care of my clothes that my job requires me to have and looking my best. Not wanting to be an inconvenience, i arrived 3 hours before closing on a Wednesday. As I walked in I was immediately given a disgusted look by a lady that worked there as though I was coming in covered in feces and she asked me what I needed. Trying to disregard her look, I told her what I needed to alter some suits and she told me the tailor was busy at the moment so for the next few minutes I just stood at the door waiting to be helped or told where to place my clothes I needed fixed. Finally, I was introduced to the tailor. EXTREMELY great guy! He was incredibly professional, understanding about my situation, very knowledgeable in what he was doing, and trying to help me to the best of his ability. I understood that the in house bought alterations had priority over mine and was willing to work with that. Especially since I was about to drop $500+ worth of work. He told me I could leave maybe one thing so I asked if it could be one suit. I needed to do atleast that for a photoshoot I had been planning for the following weekend. He said no problem and took my measurements and explained to me of what worked best with the fit and suit I had. Like I said, really great guy. Meanwhile, the (what I can only assume was the manager by his arrogant demeanor and constant shaking of the head as I was being measured) was looking very upset that I was even being helped at all. After finishing up, the shaking head guy cashed me out with constant scoffing and when at the register, a fellow younger employee even told him "use your words" in a playful tone to cut the intensity of the situation. He replied "thanks!" very apruptly and told me I could pick up my suit in a month. As a customer service rep, photographer, and image consultant I was incredibly disappointed with so many aspects of how I was treated as a customer. Especially when most men have trouble even getting out of their comfort zone going to explore a new store like that. After leaving and setting my clothes back in my car, I came back in to browse at the products because I am a suit fanatic. I was waiting to see if someone would offer help or suggest something. I was just shadowed by shaking head guy and got fed up, bought a tie bar from the younger gentleman, and left. As an image consultant who likes to have connections and promote places to clients, it's safe to say I would stress how bad the service is there and would only recommend the tailor for help to someone. read more

Our order resulted in countless mishaps and over 10 overnight orders to correct mistakes made. It wouldn't let my type a review long enough to explain everything that happened in detail. This has been by far the worst experience we have had with customer service representatives, not only with our wedding vendors, but in general with any customer service I've received in my lifetime. Misty was dismissive and had little concern with helping us when the mistakes were made on Men's Warehouse's end. Outside of Mariah there was zero appreciation for our business with the store. I am extremely disappointed and will not use Men's Wearhouse again. It's astonishing that over $3000 at your store location and every person in your store, besides Mariah, had zero reverence for that fact. Nobody wanted to help anytime there was an issue. Everyone was dismissive and just hoped we would be ok with the problem and leave the store without rectification. And I'd like to make you aware I understand mistakes happen, but nobody at the Abilene location wants to admit it much less help you out afterwards. I'm a very patient person. Things were so bad that I'm writing this customer complaint, which is the only complaint I've ever sent in to any company about anything. You're employee Misty is not well informed, lacks any communication amongst her colleagues, is not empathetic in any way shape or form, and is knowingly unapologetic for her lack of empathy even after it is glaringly obvious that the mishap is %100 her responsibility. I can say with certainty that Misty is losing business for Men's Warehouse. Men's Warehouse has lost my future business because of her, and I've spoken to several friends who have had a similar experience and have mentioned Misty by name. I legitimately feel that if someone who had the capacity to do anything about it were to have gone through my experience, Misty would no longer be employed at Men's Warehouse and Mariah would be promoted for being the only person with any sort of positive customer relations. read more

I first off want to start off by saying that your store here has some of the most horrible customer service my fiancé and myself have ever encountered. We went to your store here a month ago and we walked in and my fiancé old your salesman he needed to be fitted. The salesman said ok. I told my fiancé I was going to go change my nephew's diaper in bathroom. I changed it and came back out, expecting my fiancé to be getting helped and I said where's the salesman. He said "I don 't know he put a jacket on me, and said I will be right back and never came back." I said here hold (Kole) my nephew and I will go see what is going on. I went looking for the salesman and found him chit-chatting with another salesman while the other salesman was helping someone else. He even completely ignored me as well.Not one other salesman in that store attempted to help my fiancé so we left. We immediately went over Al's Formal Wear where we was helped by the way. Where there was two other couples there who said they also had a similar experience to ours. You lost out on countless sales. We had a total of six tuxes to be ordered. Well I will be Men's Warehouse corporate to let them know my experience and I am spreading the word about our horrible experience. If I could give you zero stars that's what I would do, your store here in Abilene does not even deserve one star. Do NOT go here it is a waste of time especially when you're trying to get service they will not help you! read more
