This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Walked in on Sunday and my husband needed a suit for the following Sunday because it needed to be altered. We walked in Friday to pick it up and the sales guy said, "Oh I was wondering what your suit was doing up here." It was sitting at the front desk for an entire week. Asked to speak to a manager who said, "I dunno, I haven't been here for 2 weeks." Nobody said "sorry" once. Not ONCE. They just gave us a refund and didn't even look at us. Zero accountability. So now we have to go find a suit for a wedding in 2 days. What a mess. We will NEVER be back. Don't go here. Busy store during prom season! It was past time to update my formal wardrobe. So, Men's Warehouse (MW) was the 1st choice that came to mind getting started with the process. I was delighted to find the company still does free fittings, has a rewards program called "Perfect Fit" and a user-friendly customer website for booking appointments. Not any other menswear chain that I'm aware that checks off all those boxes besides MW. Store team lead-Mgr. Jessica took good care of me for fitting and knows what she's doing. Has an engaging customer service manner with a splash of humor too. I haven't purchased anything just yet, but plan to and will return likely soon. The MW website works really well and the online appt. system is recommended. Two thumbs up for this store and my first encounter. You can buy "dress clothes" anywhere but, the Men's Wearhouse Fairfield location is the only place you will get excellent customer service & product knowledge from professional subject matter experts. I visited several other clothing establishments trying to piece together an outfit for my special event, and their customer service was non-existent. Gustavo, and A.J. were extremely helpful determining my hard to fit sizes, and helped me find the exact articles I was looking for. I grew up in the 80's listening to George Zimmer saying; "You're going to love the way you look, I guarantee it". And it still rings true today. Located in The Solano Mall, this Men's Warehouse has been around a long time. I've personally shopped here for over 23 years. When I go there, I intend to spend money. I do not go in to look nor waste time. In all those years, many faces have come and gone. As a younger man in commission sales 20+ years ago, still catching the bus to work, I spent over $2,700.00 in one day on my attire. I literally seen my attire as an investment. Back then, everyone in the store was willing to help, all seemed to know their business and was eager to ensure you walked out loving the way you looked... they even "guaranteed it!" in their commercials. Remember that? Sadly, those days are long gone. The store still has a great display. The store is clean and looks professional. Where the 1 star comes into play is the level of professionalism and salesmanship that is now missing. It's as if they don't want to interact or sale anything. They prefer to be on their phones surfing through social media. I was shocked. I was actually directed to "Party City" to "See what they have" by a saleswoman the day prior. Upon my return the next day, there was one salesman that has been there forever that I was especially disappointed in. If you've shopped here before on a weekend, you've seen him. This time around he was condescending, rushing me - though there wasn't anyone else in the store, pointing in a direction and telling me to go look for an item I was inquiring about instead of having me join him while he showed me. I don't need my hand held but come on. It's his store, come show me where the item is at. Maybe he was having a bad day... maybe he wasn't feeling well... I don't know but he made me feel as if I was wasting his time. I did walk out of there spending a great deal of money that day but it wasn't because of the salesman. I upsold myself on all of the accessories, bought a great looking suit, cuff links, bow tie, pocket handkerchief, you name it. I didn't spare a single expense. Again, I wanted to invest in my attire but what I experienced recently in Men's Warehouse may not be a Men's Wearhouse problem, but a greater problem we are all now dealing with... where most people prefer to shop online and interact with their device and not a real person. read more

Horrible experience. Kelin Mitchell and Angel Cruz need training on customer service and empathy. The store made a mistake, they informed us that we needed to come in to pay for an alteration that was not captured, mind you this is days before our wedding and we are busy closing out other things. When we explained we couldn't get there to pay, even asked if we could pay over the phone, they said no. Didn't try to work with us...instead of figuring out how to resolve the problem, they rather we return a $600 suit instead of covering, waiving or holding on a $17.50 alteration cost. Which you can refund us over the phone but you can't take a payment? I called customer service to share the experience...they generated a report, said they would call the store to find out what happened? That's it? That's what you do when your customer reports a bad experience? They said we can offer you points which would equate to $150 off but it won't be available for 2.5 weeks?!?!? So I have to spend more money? What makes them think I want to give them a penny? read more

We came to get fitted for a tuxedo for the wedding with the groomsmen's and fathers. Everything seemed to be going well until we came to pick up the rental on Thursday and the grooms sizing was never imputed in the system. So they had to rush the tuxedo and had us come back the next day. No apologies given and payment was still made for the rush fees. They also ordered wrong sizes for the fathers which made us have to come back again. I'm not sure why this specific location is unorganized but I've never experienced this problem with any other men's warehouse. read more

My husband rented his tux here as a part of the bridal party for a wedding this past weekend. Each suit was $250. I will say that it was their mistake for not trying the suits on beforehand. First off, they gave them the wrong color vest for just 1 of the groomsmen, so the group did not match like they wanted them to. Second, my husbands whole suit was messed up. Clip on tie broke as soon as he put it on, they had to bend it together with a leatherman. Shirt smelled like someone's BO as soon as he took it out of the bag. Had to drench it in deodorant and cologne for it to be tolerable. Shirt studs did not hold the shirts closed, so none of the groomsmen could use them. Cuff links were broken. Pants were missing the button, luckily he had pants with a "show" button that actually held them closed. All of this was told to the store at time of return and he got a total of $54 returned to him.... Crazy. read more

Worst store I have been too. Seems like none of the sales people have any experience in speaking to people. I asked for a quote and the guy helping is not saying anything, he shows me the quote and says "this is the total" and I was like "so is that out the door?" and he replies with "no I didn't include taxes", so in my head I'm telling myself well then say that!? I tried a suite on and the guy never bother to ask how it fit, how it felt, he just went to measure and gave me another shirt, and another suite jacket to try on without saying anything. They have no knowledge and do not communicate information. I paid for my suite to be ready and it did not fit and the people helping me, are not at all helpful what so ever. If you have other places to shop for suits go somewhere else you will not miss anything. Definitely will never be back. read more

From time to time I visit this Men's Wearhouse in the mall in the city where I grew up ... never been fond of the staff. They're a little bit standoffish ... it doesn't seem to matter who's in there . As a Napa Valley chauffeur , it's important to dress well, but it doesn't make sense to buy $1200 suits for as much work and the environment that I'm in ... I was actually fond of K & G fashions in Oakland, California and the Jamaican tailor there was always kind and did a great job tailoring my suits ! However after Men's Wearhouse acquired them, they've also done away with them to direct service the way they want it . Overall, Men's Wearhouse is a suit store and their staff should be dressed in suits not this half business casual or this casual look .... you are a suit store do what you do ! The only reason why I gave this store three stars was because the Jamaican Taylor and I over the years developed a rapport to where I know my exact size and Men's Wearhouse actually had it in separates to charge more and I didn't have to have it tailored at all that was great ! read more

A gentleman who I found out later on was one of the managers was very pleasant and helpful when I described what I needed for my husband and I felt like he had solved all of my problems! While I was there, there was a super rude woman with her husband and she was very impolite and rude to the staff. Being a young couple we usually expect not the best customer service. both being in the sales industry and knowing what customer service should look like we were appalled when no one greeted us not even an acknowledgment. What an experience. The two ladies in the back were very friendly they made the experience, I was able to get sized and both of them were polite and professional. I was looking up front at the polo t shirts and seen a man putting clothes away I approached him with a few questions about how they size and what size pants I should be buying if the size went up or down like when you cut a belt. He said depending on the brand and walked away as I was speaking. I felt like he didn't want to give me the time of day. Afte he said I might be able to rent one. I don't know if he want listening to me, figured I couldn't afford it or trying to push rentals. Out of curiosity I asked about pricing, about a typical range people spend for a rental. He wouldn't answer me and another associate who was leaning against the fixture said around 99 to 250. This ordeal was extremely uncomfortable, unprofessional and the man was rude. Although they do have a nice selection, or fairly nice selection of men's clothing, the people that work there are incredibly rude. As someone who taught college textiles and made all her own clothing with delicately finished details and took classes on fitting I was surprised that not one of the sales clerks there had a suit or pants that actually properly fit. So my question is this: Why would you trust someone to fit you in pants or a suit, when they don't know how to wear them. They don't give you a second to discuss the length or the bend in front of the shoe when you try on your pants? Married to a corporate lawyer for many years in my past, I had the privilege or pleasure of working with custom tailors to design your own suit, that fits your body type. Men's Wearhouse must have a hard time getting people to work there; but nevertheless they should give them some lessons on manners, diplomacy and lessons on fit! I have now been to two in the Sacramento area and I really wonder why men gravitate to these stores. Nordstrom or even Macy's can offer you a suit of the same or better quality at the same price point, and both will tailor the suit for you, so I don't understand this choice. The other thing I will add to this review is that they do not pay attention to wives or to their comments. The sales clerk actually argued with me about what the fabric was called on a pair of pants we were buying. I called a Mille stripe, which a tiny stripe. He called it a textured stripe. All fabric has texture but a stripe is a stripe and texture is texture. Oh well! Not my favorite place to be spoken rude to when I am the client, or in this case my husband is the client. read more

Boy has Men's wearhouse has gone significantly down hill. We came here to rent multiple suits for a wedding that was 3 months out and our headache continued f the day we placed the order which took almost 2 HOURS and issues the day before the wedding. Majority of the staff here look like they are 16 and know absolutely nothing about a suits and spend more time arguing then helping especially Jonathan. They fitted my fiancé into pants that were way to tight and short and claim that's how the suit fits when it look's completely different in their catalog. They told our party shipmen's didn't arrive and created a huge confusion 5Pm day before the wedding . Absolutely should not be picking any suit the day before a major even because there is no time to fix something. For the cost of a rental you are better off going to Macys and purchasing something better customer service . read more

Terrible service. Awful. A lot of young boys with the same awful haircut and worse service. We came in with positive outlooks, looking to purchase a suit and were treated poorly. A young employee assumed we were renting and didn't offer to help us in the slightest. I had to approach a group of 5 employees in the front. No one asked if we needed help. When I asked for help, they all looked at each other, confused. We walked right out. Not giving our money to these people. We came by a second time and Lavoisier (so sorry for misspelling your name) was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and overall a cool human. Give this man a raise! First and foremost i would like to say very poorly management skills from their manager Eric. The communication from the employee to customer should always remain the same, instead of the employees having different explanations for the process that require payments. When a customer pays for alterations, everything should be explained instead of " don't worry, if it requires further alterations you will not be charged, because you have already payed for the alteration " . I don't need no one to educate me on how a pant is cut and tailored , that's why i'm paying a profesional to do so. All i needed to know was a clear explanation that if something required further alterations there was going to be more charges. When the manager tells you " i'm sorry for the confusion " that right there is enough for you to realize it's not the customers mistake, it's the staffs. It's not the $30 that they charge, the problem is more of the feeling that you get as the customer , being lied too. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. Never got an email to confirm the tux was ready for pick up. Every other person in the party did. I called to ask if mine happened to come in and was told I had to wait for the email confirmation. I tried to explain that others that came the same day as I did had received the confirmation. He repeated that I had to wait and would not check for me.... Needless to say when I went in the tux did not fit and they asked why we did not come in sooner when the rest of the party came in. I told the guy that I called to confirm and was rudely told I had to wait.... Well now my tux will not match....no apologies and now financial compensation. I will not be back. read more

The worst store I've ever been to. I purchased a blazer and took it home. I tried it on at home, and I noticed some imperfections that I didn't notice at the store. I went back several days later to return it, and I was denied to return the product. The associate said, "unfortunately I'm unable to return this product because it looks worn." I was directed to call customer service and "they can take care of me." If I bought the product at this location, why can't I be taken care of in-store? The worst experience I've ever had. Wow what an embarrassment this store is. I sure hope we just had a terrible associate. Went in to look at rentals and suits for sale for a wedding. He was absolutely no help! He didn't explain anything or answer any questions to what we asked. When I asked what the difference between two different suits were he said "they are two completely different suits" really? I had no idea! What are the differences? This experience completely let us down! I am a customer, I came here for help and instead received an attitude with zero answers to my questions.
